Two questions. Are there any specific places or websites that i can learn more things? Also, what is your opinion on Black or Dark Magic?
there are resources everywhere! what are you specifically looking to learn about?
and (khaleesiwitchh speaking here), i personally don’t touch black magic. just not an energy i want to invite into my life. but plenty of witches do, and that’s perfectly fine :)
Hi! Just curious, is your profile picture a sigil? If so, do you mind me asking what system you used to create it? Thanks!
it is, but it was actually designed by a person :)
What are some little (more subtle, I suppose) ways a witch can celebrate Sabbats when they aren’t able to openly practice?
the best way is to LEARN! read all about them, learn the histories, learn the traditions. right now we are in Samhain season, which is probably an easier one to celebrate since it’s so closely intertwined with halloween. drink a pumpkin spice latte, sit outside underneath the hunter’s moon (full moon october 13th this year!), visit the graves of those who have passed on before us. and remember that a witch is something you are, not something you do. your practice is not invalidated by being stuck in the broom closet. xx
How can I tell I'm a witch and what kind of witch am I?
In my opinion, a witch is something you choose to be - you’re a witch if you want to be one. Finding what kind of witch you are is a matter of trial and error, in my opinion - you try things, you see if you connect with them or enjoy them, you take note, and you try something else. You can take little bits and pieces from different paths (green witches, Wicca, elemental witches, kitchen witches) and create your own eclectic path, too!
I struggle with a lot of religious guilt from my christian upbringing. I still believe loosely in God, I just think we should see other people, you know? I feel bad practicing witchcraft even though it feels so right. How do I let go of the past and embrace who I am now?
Khaleesiwitchh here. I totally get where you’re coming from - I’ve struggled with similar guilt. To me, one of the most special aspects of witchcraft is that it’s unique to all of us. You can believe in one god, no gods, or a thousand gods, and still be able to follow your path. Instead of thinking of it as no longer believing in God, maybe think of your craft as a different way to connect to your beliefs. I personally found more faith when I stopped seeing God as a man in the sky and instead started finding magic and belief in all the little aspects of nature and the world around us. Maybe you’ll be the same - and if not, that’s okay! Your path and your craft are a journey, not a destination. Embrace every step and every moment, because they’re all part of you 💜
hi!! sorry if i’m asking something dumb but, are you guys accepting people to your coven? is it an irl or online coven??
It's an online coven, and we aren't accepting people at this time. There are free to join witch discord groups out there though!

Am I still a witch if I can't practice? I live with very Christian and conservative family who don't know about it nor would they approve..
What’s up- Khaleesiwitchh here.
My answer is a resounding YES. Being a witch is who you are. It is in your soul. It’s the way you view the world and the way you embrace experiences. There are plenty of witches in the world who aren’t practicing!

Content Theft - an action in which someone’s original content is reposted on another blog under the guise of it being their own, without credit to the original author, or their permission.
This happened to OUR blog, which was brought to our attention by another kind member of the WitchBlr community a few minutes ago.
To be clear, the Little Witches coven and our blog are absolutely NOT okay with our personal content (spells that we create for use and are kind enough to share with you all) being used in this manner.
Reblogging is, as always, perfectly fine because we are always credited there :) I’m perfectly aware that there are pins of our content on Pinterest. We do not have a pinterest to make these pins ourselves, and the pins always keep our name in the photo, so that is fine.
Taking those photos and reposting them on Tumblr INSTEAD of reblogging it from the source is NOT okay.
As for the reposter, @chittychittydumdumb the post in question is available in a rebloggable form here. We’d appreciate the rapid removal of the repost.
The repost is STILL up, after this post and a message request to the reposter. I’ve taken other measures to have it removed.

UPDATE: literally ten minutes after posting this, the repost was removed.
“Where do I start? I’m interested in witchcraft but I have no idea where to begin.”
Many witches who have been practicing for a few years will have been asked this question thousands of times and the simple answer is this: there is no one perfect way to start so it completely depends on the person.
The best way I’ve found to answer the ‘how do I start practicing witchcraft?’ question is to ask yourself five questions:
1. What do you know about witchcraft so far?
2. Do you have any particular branches (or areas of study) that interest you or that you feel drawn to?
3. Are you religious and if so, do you plan on integrating your beliefs into your practice?
4. Are you part of a culture or descended from a culture that practices/practiced some form of magic/witchcraft? Does this interest you?
5. Has anyone in your family had a history of interest in witchcraft or divination?
If you are interested in practicing witchcraft but do not know where to start, I would recommend writing these questions down and thinking deeply about your answers. These questions will help you decide on the first few steps you take on your witchy journey.
I hope this helps ~ Marci
This is a great resource for new witches!

Is there a such thing as "Moon Magic"? I ask this because tonight I had noticed that the moon was bright and full around 10:30 or so and by 10:40 it was dim and a sort or reddish color on the bottom half (btw there were no clouds). I know that there is a such thing as moon rituals but i wondered if you could actually use the moon as a power source or drain its energy for yours. Any thoughts?
Many witches use the moon as a source of energy in their magic! It’s a fairly common practice. Most witches at least dabble in using the full moon to charge water or cleanse their crystals as that’s when the moon’s energy is most potent.
There are witches that align their practice around the phases of the moon. At certain periods of the lunar cycle, the moon projects different types of energies that are better for different types of spells (1, 2, 3). Harnessing the energy this way seems more of a way to amplify the intent of the spell rather than being the only energy source behind it, but that doesn’t mean that there aren’t witches who do that.
Any other thoughts out there on this?

I’ve always felt like I can spot “otherworldly” things. My mom and aunt are both Christians and think I’m prophetic or something. I don’t really believe that. But I know that I can sense things. People I’ve met, seen on the street, etc. Not good or evil, just definitely not human. I don’t know what this means. What do you think?
I’m not an expert by any means, but it sounds like maybe you’re an empath or that you’re seeing a person’s aura? I’d suggest starting there for answers, and then branching out.
If anyone else has any suggestions or similar experiences, though, please feel free to share!
