Kol had problems with his impulse control since he could remember. Since before he had turned. But it grew worse when his mother cursed his siblings with immortal life. A twisted perversion of her love for them. Ever since Kol was just angry and he took it out on everyone. He was a monster and so acted as such. Kol was mad at his miserable life and how it turned out. His rage with tied to his lust for blood and being always furious, was his downfall. It made him the reckless one. The maniac of the Mikaelsonâs. And he reviled in such a title. But he wanted to be better now. A changed man. He always admired his big brother Elijah, and Elijah had believed he could get better so that was enough for him. Kol has made many mistakes but he has little regrets. His biggest? Not trying hard enough when it came to maintaining his relationship with two people. Henrik and Hazel. His little brother and the woman he used to love, and probably always will deep down.
For Christ sake too, Kol shouldnât shake off the fact it had gotten so bad heâd killed the woman he loved.  So he ran from the hurt. He had to stop running though. He had run for years from the wrath of his father but no longer would he run from his problems. He got clean. It took him a while. Heâd caused a big fuss in Europe where heâd been staying before returning to the States along with what he deserved. That control back. So he did his best to track down his brother and Hazel. Tracking down witches was what he did. He knew making amends wouldnât be easy but heâd lost his brother once and killed Hazel and turned his back on her once as well, he wouldnât do it for the rest of his life. Knocking on the door of the address heâd found, he waited. He mostly hoped to see his brother first. Get that out of the way. Nervous? Kol Mikaelson? He didnât get nerves but he was certainly slightly unsettled. Facing Hazel now, it just hit him how long it had been. He hadnât remembered. Time flew by for him like it always had. âGot a moment to chat?â He raised his eyebrow, spoken with that cheeky charm heâd always had as he just raises two bottles of vintage and expensive wine. This isnât a plan to win her back. Get her to fall in love with him again but to maybe press reset or even play on a relationship that had been on pause. âSeems like everyoneâs around. Saw Chester in town earlier. He seems to be doing well.â  // @littlexmissbadass¡
Life for Hazel had been good. Really good. With her ancestors gone, the young witch had finally her life back. She went back to her life befor the Harvest had happened. The Harvest, that big nightmare she had been through, the one thing that destroyed her life, was nothing but a distant memory now. She was finally free. The witches let her go, Klaus was gone from town, Henrik stopped pushing her away, Chester was happy and living his life as well. All was fine in Mystic Falls, as surprising as that seemed. Of course she was always careful, always paying attention to what witches around could be doing, as well as practicing her magic. Who knew when a New Orleans witch would finally show up after revenge? Still, her fear hadnât came through so far.
Hazel definitely didnât expect to hear someone at her door, definitely didnât expect to open it and find Kol Mikaelson. How long it had been? It felt like years. Last time she saw him, they had left things in a bad way. Kol killed her, abandoned her, and when she was ready to forgive him, he abandoned her again. Suddenly she remembered why it had been so hard to let go of him. Hazel loved Henrik, she would never trade one brother for another. Again. But she couldnât deny that seeing Kol standing by her door shook her and made her heart beat loudly against her chest. She was sure he could hear it. âKol.â She let go a bretah she didnât know she was holding. âUh⌠What are you ding her?â Hazel asked, hoping he had come to see Henrik, who wasnât at home at the moment.
