Crochet Pattern: Lil’ Cross Keychain
Blessed Good Friday everyone! It’s been so long since I shared a free pattern on my blog. With the current pandemic situation happening around the world, let’s keep our hopes high and pray that this phase of virus infection will come to pass soon. Since Singapore is having our circuit breaker aka “3/4 lockdown”, I finally have time to pick up my hooks again. And since today it’s Good Friday, let’s start this weekend on a good note with a FREE Crochet Pattern that is super easy to make. :)

Yarn(s) - Small amount of 8ply Acrylic Yarn (Any colour of your choice).
Crochet Hook - Size 3.5mm
Yarn Needle or Tapestry Needle
Optional: If you want to add on a cute face to the cross, you’ll also need a pair of black safety eyes, a pair of pink safety eyes (as cheeks) and small amount of black yarn for the mouth.
This pattern works in rows.
Ch - Chain
sc - Single Crochet
Sl St - Slip Stitch
* * - Repeat Step
F/O - Fasten Off
Row 1: Sc 4 across ch 1 and turn. (4)
Row 2: Sc 4 across ch 1 and turn. (4)
Row 3: Sc 4 across ch 5 and turn. (8)
Row 4: Sc across ch 5 and turn. (12)
Row 5-6: Sc across ch 1 and turn. (12)
Row 7: Sc 8 across ch 1 and turn. (8)
Row 8-14: Sc 4 across ch 1 and turn. (4)
Sc around the cross 7 stitches, Sl St 4 stitches (at bottom right of the cross), continue Sc around the cross 16-17 stitches, Sl St 4 stitches (at top left of the cross), continue Sc around the cross 19-20 stitches.
Face: (Optional - refer to photo)
Attach black safety eyes on Row 5 of the cross, approximately 5 stitches apart.
Attach pink safety eyes (as cheeks) on Row 6 of the cross, approximately 6-7 stitches apart.
Use a yarn needle and small amount of black yarn to sew a cute mouth in between Row 6 and 7 of the cross.
Sew both sides of the cross together and stuff fiberfill as you sew.
And Congratulations, you have completed your Lil’ Cross Keychain!
