beth.
she still couldnât believe theyâre in a bed. sheâd been awake since the sun       began to rise, watching the light creep through window blinds that werenât       crooked and askew in the wreckage and aftermath of humanity⌠she breathed       slow and deep and enjoyed the chance to pretend like the world hadnât changed       as much as it felt like it has. and zach shifted, then, turning to face her, drawing       a smile up from introspection, and she shifted to face him.Â
her hands pulled the blankets up around her all the more, keeping            her body modestly hidden, even as she presses closer to be held.
   â morninâ. sleep well? â
it took him a while to fall asleep but in the end he was out like a light and   it was weird that he didnât feel like he had to sleep with one eye open   (though he still did   - kind of). & now that he was in bed and still half-asleep,   he didnât want to get up and go anywhere. because really, after sleeping on   hard floors and uncomfortable chairs for so long, who wants to get up? he   lazily blinks & yawns, rubbing at his face with his hand.
& smiling, he stretches his neck to     place a gentle kiss on her forehead.
â very good, yeah. how about you? â
