Living with Alfred: Garden Update
Sunflowers have officially bloomed and I have roughly 20 beets! How exciting š
Living With Alfred #5
We have officially planted our garden for the year. Many herbs, some tomatoes, garlic, and beets... oh and of course flowers! My sunflowers have already sprouted this year! It looks like I have seven little sprouts to care for. Fedya is happy to have roses once more, and forget me nots.
- Ivan
Is Alfred oblivious about some things?
A lot of things... so many things. He is even oblivious to our little blog, despite me asking him many questions. Š„Š°Ń Š°))
- Ivan
Fun Fact #2:
First time I visited Fedyaās D.C. home I was surprised to find out he had bunk beds. I never expected a man in his early 20s to have bunk beds... but there we were.
He often slept on the top bunk because quote āI like to be tall.ā Though sometimes he would throw blankets down around bottom bunk and call it his āfortress of solitudeā.
When we moved in I insisted we get something that I could fit on comfortably. But do not worry, his bunk beds are now in the guest room.
So you told us Alfred moves in his sleep, does he ever talk too? If he does you every hear him say anything so funny/embarrassing in his sleep it's worthy black mail material for silly disagreements? (Like debating where to get lunch, whip that sucker out and you get restaurant you want lol)
Š„Š°Ń Š° as incriminating as this may be, I am actually the sleep talker. Alfred does not say as much in his sleep, but I have a few stories of him talking. My favourite is the time he told me what he wanted to get me for Christmas. Nothing I can use as blackmail, I normally do not wait to tease him.
- Ivan
Fun Fact:
I am deeply enjoying these asks, it is very appreciated. Fedya does not know I run this blog. So far he has not caught on to me asking him questions randomly. How long until he catches on...? I am not sure, but it is fun to see how excited he gets.
What sort of music do you two listen to? Do you ever dance to it?
Anything that can make me dance dude! Funk, jazz, pop, swing, whatever! As long as it has a good beat!
-Al
I am actually fond of several genres. I like classical music and traditional Russian music to dance to. Surprisingly I have found many American pop artist I like, but my favourite American genres are southern gothic and folk music. They have good lyrics and the music is similar to what I am used to.
We have a record player in our house that we listen to quite a bit, despite it being the modern era. The slow crackle is nice when we slow dance in the kitchen. Occasionally we get to waltz like the old days. Alfred is almost always dancing though Ń Š°Ń Š°))
- Ivan
What do you two find the cutest about each other?
Pirozhki cheeks and his nose!!! ā¤ļøšš

His smile and laugh are like basking in sunshine. He knows how to light up even my darkest days. Surprisingly he is good listener and is genuinely caring, even when he is bad at communicating his worries. I appreciate all he does for me. Every day I am lucky to wake up to that beautiful bright smile.
- Ivan
Only a week old and I some how made it on the Hetalia block list?... for what...?
Living With Alfred #4
Believe it or not, Fedya makes dinner almost nightly. I prefer to make Russian food and while I have talked him in to enjoying borscht, there are other things heās not as fond of. So he cooks more often than I do.
I am always surprised by how well he cooks. (Must be something he got from Francis, there is no way it came from Arthur.) He likes to make big meals though... very big. He has been introducing me to many kinds of foods. Mostly American food, but I do not mind! Always very yummy))
- Ivan
Living With Alfred #3
I have now officially been introduced to Jimmy Buffett and Margaritaville. Alfred is pleased with himself because I love the island living. Very good time, and much liquor. Also a tequila hurricane. I bought new Hawaiian shirt, and walked on beach. Good times.))
- Ivan
Living With Alfred #2:
I am learning how to cook ātrue Americanā hamburgers for him. I am still unsure of what makes them American, but I will update when I find out.
- much love to you all, Ivan
Living With Alfred #1:
He moves a lot in his sleep. There are many nights I wake up and wonder if he is awake due to him sitting up, thrashing around, or punching me in the face. Iām thankful he doesnāt kick much, and more thankful his punches arenāt dangerous.
My favourite part is telling him what he did the night before. He always gets flustered and apologises for trying to instigate a WWE smack down at 4 am.
- Ivan
