Kyle felt himself start to smile, and for once, he let it happen. His real smiles were reserved for situations like these. The fake ones he used around other people looked nothing like this. They were subdued. They didn’t reach his eyes either if one looked hard enough.
He didn’t mind if Kenny had looked into him. It wasn’t like the information wasn’t available, especially in their office space. If anyone looked hard enough, they could find him. They just wouldn’t be finding what they were looking for. Whoever that performer was didn’t exist anymore. Even if he did have the inspiration or want to take to the stage again, none of his old fans would recognize him. That was the way he’d wanted it.
“At least you understand…
Not everyone does…or would I guess…”
He couldn’t help but think of all those people who had looked up to him or idolized him. They didn’t know he was a completely different individual now under a different name with a different appearance. At first, he hadn’t been sure if anyone still thought about him. When he’d actually spoken with Stan, though, he’d realized at least one person did.
Hearing Stan’s dedication as a fan had touched Kyle’s heart. It had almost made him want to tell him, but he’d kept his mouth shut.
"Let us have a little party of our own, what do you say?"
Kenny smiled and flicked the cigarette to the ground before putting it out with his boot before continuing down the street. He gave a hum of his lips as he thought about the nice little party the could have. Have a few drinks, make some dinner, sing some song together granted he could find his karaoke machine, but you know.
"I mean--- at my own pad. Karen will probably be asleep and it will give us a full range of the house. We can drink, smoke, sing, do whatever without having to be bothered."
Kenny chuckled before running a hand into his blonde hair, maybe Kyle wouldn't be exactly up for it, but he wanted to try. If they wanted to have fun--- then by god-- they would have fun, even at Cartman's suspense.
After a moment, Kenny thought of something before closing his eyes. He wondered if there was exactly the time to ask something like this.
"Um... Kyle, can I ask something? What if... what if you fell in love with someone...? Someone, you knew the... public eye would be torn to know their figure fell in love with..?"
