Ah. A familiar boom from below can herald only one particular arrival.

Malleus leans over the upper roof ledge of their dorm with an indulgent smile, waving leisurely at his dear friend and retainer… who has once again managed to track him down. Alas.

Though, he supposed it was good training for Sebek to have to seek him out.

“Good morning,” he calls back, and stows his tools and polishing cloths away in his satchel before stepping over the side and descending slowly so that Sebek may offer out a guiding hand, despite Malleus being perfectly capable of simple levitation on his own. The young man seemed to prefer it this way. “It is a pleasant day, all the moreso for the storms yesterday. My repair work on the eastern gargoyles and drainage system holds, and I cannot ask for more than that. Did you sleep well, Sebek?”

Sebek's posture straightened the moment he spotted Malleus atop the roof.

"Lord Malleus!"

As always, he hurried forward, arriving just in time to offer his hand as the prince descended. Though he knew full well Malleus required no assistance, Sebek presented it with unwavering sincerity.

"It gladdens me to see your repairs were successful."

A faint smile crossed his face as Malleus stepped onto solid ground.

"The eastern dormitories remained completely secure throughout the night. Your craftsmanship is, as always, exemplary."

At the question, Sebek hesitated only briefly.

"I did, my lord."

It wasn't entirely a lie. He had slept.

He quickly dismissed the matter with a shake of his head.

"It is of no consequence. My foremost concern is your well-being."

Sebek bowed his head.

"I trust you have not overexerted yourself? Even Your Highness ought to allow yourself proper rest after such labor."
