Watching the little boy run off towards his sister, she smiled. “I’m good.” She laughed when Liam figured out who she was. “Took you long enough.” Shaking her head, she shrugged her shoulders. “Go grab your stuff and move over here.” She pointed to his stuff and gestured. “Beats sitting over there alone anyways, and we can catch up.” 

“I wasn’t really paying attention to who you were,” he laughed. “Alright, beats sitting over there by myself.” He shrugged his shoulders and went and grabbed their stuff and then moved it over to the older woman, setting things up before sitting down on the sand. “Finally free from Avengers?” He asked, knowing how busy his brother had been in the previous weeks.

“Daddy, it okay! I go play?” He asked, looking at his father. Liam just nodded. “You’re free to go,” He laughed before the two year ran off to find his sister in the water. “Nora, keep an eye on your brother and stay where I can see you.” He called out to his eldest child. Hist gaze shifted the the women, smiling when he finally realized who it was. “Scarlett! Hey, how have you been?” He asked.

After Liam got done with his last surf lesson, he picked up his kids from daycare and then the three of them ran home to get ready for a beach day. it was hot out and he was looking to spend the rest of the day at the beach. Once he pulled up to the parking lot, he got the kids out along with a bag, that Nora carried and a cooler filled with juice, water, and some snacks for the children. They found a quiet spot on the beach and set up the area. It wasn’t long before the two kids started running towards the water, Liam follwing close. Tate bumped into a women. “Sorry,” he said in a quiet voice, the two year old looking up. “Tate, you have to watch where you’re going,” Liam told the two year old once he caught up to them.

You’re welcome! Thanks for your tip as well haha. My (almost) three year old hasn’t quite started yet but my five year old is definitely turning into a little clothes hoarder. Its not that she’s picky about brands or anything, thank goodness, she just wants to buy out almost the whole store. We went into walmart once for a plain navy shirt, and walked out with the shirt, two dresses, three other shirts and a headband. And she cried because I wouldn’t let her put anything else in the cart.

It doesn’t take long for kids to become clothes hoarders. I’m hoping Tate doesn’t become one. Sounds like Nora, we always leave with more things than we went in for. Whether it’s toys or clothes for her.

Maybe just give them a set limit like. “Okay you can pick out 3 shirts, 3 pants and a dress”. Because otherwise these two little girls will make me go broke haha. Hand-me-downs are also a big thing in our house, which is a reason I’m glad I have two girls haha. How old is your little one?

I probably and should do that. Thanks for the tip! I couldn’t imagine two, I have one daughter and she’s aleady making me broke. I’m glad Tate doesn’t give two shits what he wears or the toys that he has. She’s four, almost five.

I should try just letting my girls do that, it sounds a whole lot easier than having to pick out stuff myself haha. Half the time i don’t think they like the things i pick out anyway.

It was the best decision ever. As long as you can trust them not to buy out the whole entire store. There’s been a few times where Nora put every single piece of clothing in the girl’s section. Kids are picky, I don’t think they like anything most of the time.

My five year old daughter keeps asking me for a new “ ‘kini” and as thrilled as i am that she’s comfortable enough to show her tummy; I don’t know the first thing about clothes shopping for little girls. Hi I’m T.J. and this single-parent thing is harder than i thought.

I’ve been lucky enough that my daughter is a little fashionista and likes to go shopping. I just follow her around the girl’s section of stores and let her do her thing.

My daughter and I went to the beach today, it was rather fun. I got a lot of snapshots of her playing and running through the water, I’m so glad I made the decision to come here. We wouldn’t have this if we would have stayed in LA.

The beach is normally fun, you definitely can’t have all of this in the city. It’s a nice change of scenery.
