Summary: Another argument with Sirius leads to the breaking point of your relationship.
A/N: I found this in my drafts and was pretty sure I posted this before. I don't see it on my blog at all so I'm gonna post it now, but if you saw this before pretend you didn't.
âAre you ready? Lily and James are expecting us soon.â You say as the door swings open revealing the dark living room of the home you shared with your boyfriend.Â
âWhat?â Siriusâ confused voice drifts down from the bedroom.Â
âI told you last week that we are going to babysit Harry tonight.â You tug at the ends of your hair while taking a deep breath.Â
He just forgot. He has a lot going on this week. Maybe I forgot to mention it. The thoughts swirl through your mind in an attempt to rationalize his behavior. Or maybe it was to sooth the anger bubbling in your veins.
A half dressed Sirius appears at the top of the stairs. âWeâre supposed to watch Harry tonight? But I have plans with Remus.âÂ
Your fists clench at the thought of him bailing on your plans once again. While it was only babysitting and not a date it still filled you with rage. This wasnât the first time he had forgotten plans and it was starting to get on your nerves.Â
âSeriously? I told you about this last week and you still went and made bloody plans!â Your voice raises and he takes a step back.Â
âWell itâs not my fault you make so many damn plans that I canât do anything without you.âÂ
âOh so youâre saying Iâm controlling?â You take the stairs two at a time until youâre face to face with a seething Sirius.Â
âYeah I am, you never let me do anything on my own.â His hand runs through his hair in an attempt to calm himself.Â
âOh so whenever you cancel other plans I just donât let you leave. Oh wait no you cancel and then I still let you do whatever the bloody hell you want.â Kicking off your shoes you make your way into the bedroom to change.Â
Pulling off your nice work pants you make your way towards the dresser at the end of the room. Pulling a pair of sweatpants out you slip into them just in time to turn and catch Siriusâ nasty look.Â
âWhen you do let me go out I never hear the end of it. All the bloody nagging and complaining,â he yells, face turning a light red.Â
âIâm fucking sick of this. We have this goddamn argument every bloody week.â You pull your shirt off before slipping into a hoodie knowing it will be a long night with Harry.Â
His fist slams down on the table next to the bed and you jump. Taking a hesitant step back, your gaze finds his. His expression instantly softens when he sees the fear in your eyes. Slowly he unclenches his fists and takes a small step towards you.Â
Once it sets in that youâre not going to relax he does the only thing he can think of, turn into Padfoot. The large dog creeps across the bedroom and brushes up against your leg. You instinctively reach down to pet the dog that also doubles as your boyfriend. However, you stop before your hand makes contact.Â
Steeling your resolve you take a step towards the doorway. Grabbing the doorframe you finally look back over your shoulder.Â
âYou canât run from your problems. Every time you run out of things to say you change into Padfoot and then I forgive you. Not this time. This time we are either gonna talk through this like mature adults and solve our problems or this is over. We canât go on like this forever, itâs not healthy.âÂ
He opens his mouth before shutting it a second later. As if he canât think of the right words to say. Pulling his lip between his teeth he tilts his head, begging for you to give him a minute to figure out what he wants to say.Â
âI canât do it anymore. Iâm sorry,â you whisper before making your way into the hallway and then down the stairs.Â
He trails behind you, stopping on the last stair. Turning back you watch as his eyes glisten in the moonlight and it takes everything in you to keep walking. Knowing that if you give in now that you will find yourself in the same argument as always next week and every week after.Â
Reaching for the doorknob you turn back one last time. âHave fun with Remus, Iâll be at James and Lilyâs watching your godson. I hope it was worth it.â Your heart breaks as you open the door and you give him one last chance to say something. The silence tugs at your heart and finally you pull the door shut behind you.Â
As tears blur your vision you apparate to the Potter household to finish your one last favor for his friends knowing full well that after tonight you wonât see any of them again. After all they were always more his friends than yours.Â
Summary: Seeing Steve in his backwards hat makes you realize this might be your last chance to be with Steve so you make your move.
Requested: No
Words: 657
Pushing the door to the sound booth open you pause in the doorway taking in the sight of your best friend Steve. Your heart skips a beat as he turns and you fully take him in. Your breath catches in your throat as he adjusts the hat perched backwards on his head.Â
You had always harbored a small crush on your friend but over the years as you had grown closer the crush had grown as well. You knew that at one time there would have been girls lining up to even get the chance to talk to Steve but these days he seemed to be struggling with the ladies. His change in demeanor may have scared off his other potential partners but it had only pulled you in more, tethering him to you. His silly side had come out more in the last few years and every stupid joke he cracked or dramatic reenactment of a movie scene he performed with Dustin only made your feelings for him grow stronger.Â
Now standing in front of him knowing that you were about to put your lives on the line to hopefully save the world you began to wonder why you had wasted all that time hiding how you felt. He shoots you a smile as he fidgets with the tapes strewn across the desk. Thatâs all it takes to spur you into motion. You take quick strides across the room until youâre face to face with Steve. He quirks his brow at you but doesnât say anything for once.Â
WIth one final steading breath you close the gap. Throwing your friendship out the window as your lips connect with his. You send out a quiet prayer that this wonât be the only time you get to experience his soft lips on yours. As if he is reading your thoughts his hands find your waist and pull you flush against his chest. His tongue darts out, testing the waters of how far he can take the kiss. You part your lips allowing him access as you reach for his hair. You knock the hat off his head wanting nothing more than to run your fingers through his silky hair.Â
When you finally break apart his hair is mused and youâre both panting. Steve doesnât let you go far, instead he wraps his arm around your shoulders holding you close.Â
When Steve can finally breathe normally again he asks, âWhat was that for?âÂ
âI just figured we might die and I wanted to know what kissing you would be like in case I do.â You shrug trying to play it off.Â
âSo this was a one time thing?â he pouts.Â
You pretend to think for a moment, tapping your finger on your lips. âI guess I could be convinced into pursuing something more.âÂ
He pulls you back in for another kiss, softer than the last. This time as he pulls back he nips at your bottom lip before whispering, âIs that convincing enough?âÂ
âI think so,â you whisper back before placing a soft kiss on his cheek.Â
You bend down, grabbing his hat from the floor. Once itâs securely back on his head he grins at you. âHow about once we finish this I take you on a nice date. A real date where we figure out how to go from friends to more.âÂ
âOnly if you wear that sweater from earlier.â You shoot him a wink before making your way out of the sound booth. As you peer through the window you watch as he does a happy dance and it fills you with hope that maybe the two of you would make it out of this. That you would survive to have your first date and countless more. With that hope blooming in your chest like a flower on a warm spring morning you load up in the van ready to finish this once and for all.Â
Summary: You show up at Eddie's trailer years after moving away from Hawkins. You're excited to see you old friend but are shocked to see just how grown up he is these days.
Requested: Nope
Words: 929, short and sweet.
A/N: Inspired by one of my favorite Sabrina songs. Hope you enjoy. As always if you do feel free to like or reblog. Thanks babes.
You stood at the door of Eddieâs trailer for the first time in years. Shifting from foot to foot you contemplated turning around and going home. With a deep breath you reach out and rap your knuckles against the worn wood. Your heart slams against your ribs as you hear footsteps approach.Â
The door swings open and for a second the light behind him shields his face in shadows. You take him in, eyes wandering over his frame piecing together the boy you used to know with the man standing in front of you. His hair is longer, his frame taller, and the way he stands oozes confidence compared to the awkward boy you once knew.Â
Once his eyes lock on yours he takes a step forward whispering your name. You smile at him, wracking your brain for what to say. The whole way over you had come up with countless ice breakers or funny jokes you could use to break the tension of seeing him again but now standing face to face itâs like theyâve all floated away.Â
He grins at your shocked expression and finally you blurt out the only thing you can focus on, âWhen did you get hot?â The second the words slip past your lips you clamp your hands over your mouth.Â
Eyes wide you wait for his reaction. âItâs been a while hasnât it?â he laughs as his cheeks turn a soft shade of pink. He swipes a ringed hand over his face before opening the door wider to let you in. You follow him in and your shoulders finally release the built up tension when you see his living room looking just as you remembered it. He gestures for you to sit and you sink into the couch. He sits next to you and you try your hardest to pretend itâs just another Saturday movie night like you always used to share and not the awkward reunion of long distance friends.Â
âSo what brings you back to Hawkins?â he asks, eyes not leaving your hands as you fidget with your fingers.Â
âNancy and I are both applying to Emerson so I decided to drive down so we can work on applications together.â You tuck your leg under you as you turn to look at him.Â
He lets out a soft laugh and scrubs his hands over his face. âYou never mentioned that in any of your letters.âÂ
âYeah, well, you didnât mention the new haircut, or the new wardrobe, or all the tattoos so I think that makes us even.âÂ
The tattoos littering his skin capture your attention as you wait for his reaction. You clench your hands in your lap to keep yourself from reaching out and tracing the outline of the bats circling his arm. When you finally look up to meet his gaze heâs giving you a smirk that has your stomach jumping and heart slamming into your ribs.Â
âYou know, if you keep talking about my looks Iâm gonna start thinking you have a crush on me.âÂ
A laugh bubbles up and slips past your lips as you tell him, âEddie, Iâve had a crush on you since we were twelve and spent every minute of the day together.âÂ
He reaches for your hand, his rings cool against your clammy hands. Then he leans towards you and whispers, âCan I tell you a secret?â You give his hand a gentle squeeze to urge him to continue. âIâve had a crush on you since the first day you moved in next door.âÂ
âWhy didnât you say anything before?âÂ
âBy the time I grew the balls to say something you had moved away and it just didnât seem right to tell you in one of our weekly letters. Especially not when you can barely read my handwriting.â He inches towards you on the couch.Â
âWell Iâm back now, so what are you gonna do about it?â you tease.Â
He opens his mouth and then closes it. His eyes dart around as he furrows his brow. You bite your lip to stifle a laugh as you imagine what must be racing through his mind. His gaze catches on your lips and itâs as if something clicked. He slips his hand off yours and before you can protest he is cupping your cheek. He pulls you towards him just slow enough for you to back out if you want. He waits a beat for a sign from you telling him to stop but when you donât give him one he lets his lips crash into yours.Â
His hand slips from your cheek to the back of your neck pulling you closer. You let your hands tangle in his soft curls pulling just hard enough to get a quiet moan to slip past his lips. The space between you vanishes in seconds and you relish in the feeling of his body pressed against yours.Â
Pulling back just enough to whisper against his lips you say, âI canât wait to find out if youâre just as hot without all these clothes on.â You tug at his vest to further your point and he lets out a noise that is somewhere between pleasure and pain.Â
He stands from the couch abruptly, grasping at your hand again. âLetâs not waste anymore time then,â he responds before dragging you towards his bedroom. Your laughter echoing through the trailer as you rush behind him. Once safely in his room you let yourself get lost in all things Eddie, his touch, his smell, and his unrelenting adoration for you.Â
Summary: How I imagine each of the Stranger Things characters would propose to you. Enjoy!
A/N: I def think that I could turn these into full fics if anyone would be interested in it. I have ideas for literally all of them for how I can expand the storylines. If you wanna see it let me know!

Steve Harrington:Â
Steve is the type to have everyone involved in his proposal. Heâs prepped everyone for weeks leading up to the main event ensuring everyone knows their role. He sends the kids out to distract you first. They swarm you early in the morning citing that they need help knowing that you would never say no. By the afternoon youâve worked through all their problems only to find Nancy and Robin waiting in your driveway. They whisk you away for lunch followed by a midday movie. Youâre not even surprised when you get home again to find Steve waiting on your porch. He has flowers in hand and tells you that he wants to take you somewhere special. You donât think much of it, just excited to spend time with your boyfriend. When he pulls up to Family Video you assume that he wants to rent a movie and have a quiet night at home. The last thing you expect when you walk through the door is to see it decorated in candles and flower petals. You turn to ask him whatâs going on and see him on one knee, ring in hand. Tears well in his eyes as he recounts the first time you talked, when he asked you out, and all the other memories you have shared in this very store. As soon as you say yes all of your friends rush out of the backroom ready to celebrate your engagement. He holds you close to his chest as you show off the ring on your finger.Â
Jonathan Byers:Â
He fiddles with the camera in his hands pretending to mess with the settings. Heâd brought you to an overlook near the lake saying he wanted to get some test shots for a job he was taking on. You were used to scouting locations and testing out poses with Jonathan so that when the day of the shoot came he knew what he wanted. Today was different, he didnât seem as confident as normal and you couldnât figure out why. That is until he lets the camera slip out of his hands and hang around his neck and he gets down on one knee. He gives you a whispered speech as the sun highlights your skin and the sound of the water below mixes with his words. After you say yes he makes sure to take endless pictures of you with his ring resting on your finger.Â
Eddie Munson:Â
He makes a big show of the proposal. Especially since itâs in the middle of a Corroded Coffin show. As the band finishes a song he grabs the microphone. You expect Eddie to make a quick joke and introduce the next song but he pauses instead. You lock eyes with him from the front row of the pit and give him a reassuring smile. He glances to the side of the stage and the spotlight closes in on you. Everyoneâs eyes dart between you and Eddie trying to figure out what is happening. He makes his way to the edge of the stage before extending his hand for you. He helps you onto the stage, your heart racing, as he drops to one knee in front of you. For the first time all night he trips over his words but the sentiment still makes you smile. Youâre in his arms the second the last word is out of his mouth. He kisses you when you say yes and for a second you both forget that there is a crowd of fans watching.Â
Robin Buckley:Â
Robin is in the booth at the Squawk introducing the next song to all her avid listeners. You busy yourself organizing the records on the shelves as you get lost in the soothing sound of her voice. You sneak into the booth as the next song starts to fill the airwaves. Blowing her a kiss you slide the played records off the desk to reshelve. You hum along with the last notes of the song as you put the last record back in its proper place. A few minutes later Robin comes out of the booth searching for a record. When you ask her why it is so important she gives you a vague answer before rushing back to her seat. You follow her inside the small room and watch as she moves around with ease. As she switches over to a new record she introduces it telling her audience it is for someone special and shoots you a wink. Once her microphone is muted again she stands from her chair. Grabbing you hand she pulls you to her and in the middle of the small room you sway back and forth to your favorite song. She pulls away as the song ends and places the next record on the player. She smiles at you as you realize the song she picked is what you joke is the soundtrack to your relationship. As the song builds you watch as Robin closes the gap between you and drops down on one knee. With matching teary expressions you nod yes as Robin professes her love for you. Before she has a chance to stand up you are leaning down to kiss her.
Nancy Wheeler:Â
Nancy comes home from work one day beaming with pride. When you ask her about her day she hands you the story she wrote. Her eyes light up as you excitedly take the paper from her hands. Your eyes dart back and forth as you soak in each work of her writing. Halfway through you put the paper down and pull her in for a kiss. You pull apart just long enough to compliment her writing before diving back in. Between kisses she urges you to continue reading it. Eventually you break apart both short of breath. She fiddles with the rings on her fingers as you continue reading, hooked on every word she has carefully written on the page. Once you get to the bottom of the page she urges you to flip it over and see what she has written on the back. When you turn it over you see her neat handwriting scrawled on the back. Listed down the center of the page are all the reasons she loves you. The last one is what catches your attention. I love you because you said yes. Furrowing your brow you turn to ask her what it means when you see her holding out a small ring. Suddenly the last reason on her list makes more sense. You pull her in for a kiss whispering yes before she even has the chance to ask.Â
Requested: Yes, very long ago. Sorry about that babe.

The first time Jonathan saw you he swore his heart stopped. You were everything he had ever dreamed of.Â
You became fast friends and he didnât want to risk your friendship by confessing his feelings, especially when he knew you only saw him as a friend.Â
He is constantly admiring you and thinking about how lucky he is to get to have you in his life.Â
He loves taking pictures of you, capturing the small moments the two of you share.Â
He adores the way your eyes crinkle when you smile at him and how you throw your head back when you laugh at one of his horrible jokes.Â
All those feelings heâs collected for you over the years, he holds close to his chest, letting them warm him from the inside out but never daring let them reach the surface.Â
For you, itâs the complete opposite, there is no slow build, no time for you to adjust to the new feelings that overwhelm you.Â
It happens one summer late in the afternoon as youâre hanging out with all your friends.Â
Jonathan takes a seat next to you on the floor in Steveâs living room handing you a bottle of water. He makes a quick comment about not wanting you to get dehydrated and get a headache before turning back to the groupâs conversation.Â
Robin catches his comment and leans in to you whispering about how he must be in love with you to care enough to go out of his way to do that.Â
You brush it off and assure her heâs just being a good friend.Â
She responds that Steve is her good friend and he would never do that for her. Then she tells you that sheâs seen the way he looks and treats you and that itâs obvious he has a crush.
The words run through your brain trapping you in a loop. Her words mixing with all the memories of the little things heâs done for you. The small ways he shows you affection and grounds you when youâre overwhelmed.Â
The same way he grounds you now without even thinking about it. Reaching out he places a warm hand over yours to calm the whirlwind of thoughts in your head. Never once breaking his conversation, just being able to pick up on your inner turmoil from your body language.Â
Thatâs when the heat of his hand overwhelms you and you realize that his touch lights a fire on your skin like no one else can.Â
Suddenly with the weight of his hand on yours all those little moments begin to click into place, reframed in a way that makes you realize just how much Jonathan means to you.Â
You tap his shoulder and he stops mid -sentence turning to you.Â
Everyone else in the room stops when they see the look in your eyes.Â
With everyone watching you donât take a second to think it over, you just grab Jonathanâs face and crash your lips into his.Â
His hands wind around your back pulling you closer to him and deepening the kiss.
In the background you hear Steve pretending to make gagging noises as Nancy and Robin cheer you on. You both flip him off without breaking your kiss.Â
It had taken you years to finally realize your feelings for him but you werenât going to waste a second more and Jonathan was all for it.Â
Summary: How I imagine some of the Stranger Things characters would kiss you when they notice you are wearing lip gloss. Enjoy!
Divider by @saradika-graphics
Eddie Munson:Â
He sees the sheen of gloss on your lips and goes feral. Like needs his lips on yours immediately. His mouth moving frantically against yours trying to feel everything at once. Holding you as close to him as he can. He doesnât care that when he finally pulls back his lips are coated in your lipgloss. He always laughs along with you when you tell him the color looks great on him.Â
Steve Harrington:Â
He loves the look of lipgloss painting your lips but doesnât want to mess it up. That means he makes sure to show you just how much he likes it by trailing kisses up and down your neck. Sometimes even leaving marks when he gets too lost in his affection. Needing you to know just how much he loves you.
Jonathan Byers:Â
His first reaction whenever he sees you is to lean in and give you a kiss. He always notices the lipgloss sparkling a second before your lips meet and he pulls back just enough to leave a kiss on the tip of your nose. The little gesture always makes you smile and he canât help but lean in to place another kiss on your forehead.Â
Robin Buckley:Â
Thereâs something about the way the light shines off your lipgloss that makes Robin lose control. She starts by struggling to keep her eyes off your lips and before you know it she is trailing off mid sentence. Her eyes never leaving your lips until she finally has to step in and kiss you. Her hand finding the back of your head to pull you in tight against her.Â
Nancy Wheeler:Â
The first thing Nancy notices is how familiar the color on your lips looks. She always moves in closer for a better look before she makes any assumptions. Once you see the look on her face you know you need to distract her. You always pull her in for a kiss trying to distract her but it only confirms her suspicion that itâs her gloss coating your lips. She likes to make a joke about at least sharing it before she pulls you back in for another kiss leaving you both smiling with matching lip colors.Â
Welcome to my first-ever writing challenge! Leading up to Valentine's Day I will be doing a fun prompt challenge. Below are 14 different prompts for you to use. Feel free to do them in any order you want. This challenge will run from February 1st-14th. If you want to join the challenge use the tag #loveisinthefics2025 when you post your stories. I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with!
A/N: Here's what I think each one of our favorite Stranger Things characters would share a kiss with you at midnight on New Year's Eve. Wanted to have this posted last night but it wouldn't show up in the tags no matter what I did, so let's hope it worked this time. Happy New Year! Dividers by @mikeykuns
Steve Harrington: He'd pull you in close and give you a deep kiss that would be sure to escalate. You'd both get lost in the kiss and it would turn into a small makeout session until it would undoubtedly be interrupted. Most likely by Dustin shouting at you two to get a room. Which is an idea that Steve would definitely entertain within minutes of the new year.
Eddie Munson: He'd be quick to pull you to his chest and lean in for a kiss before the countdown has even finished. His hands finding their way to cup your ass and his tongue explores your mouth. Both of you getting so lost in each other that you don't notice when the countdown finally finishes and it's officially the new year.
Jonathan Byers: He'd be shy about his kiss since his family and the rest of the gang are definitely watching the two of you. He'd pull you in and press his lips to yours in a solid kiss that leaves your head spinning and you wanting more before he quickly pulls back. He would be sure to pull you into his side and make sure you're next to him for the rest of the night.
Argyle: He'd be halfway through a joint when the countdown starts. One arm wrapped around your shoulder as you sit together on the couch. When the countdown finally ends he'd lean over and give you a solid kiss on the forehead before handing the joint to you. Before taking a hit you'd lean in and give him a kiss on the cheek.
Robin Buckley: She'd grow increasingly more nervous as the seconds tick down. When the countdown finally hits zero she'd be quick to place a chaste kiss on your cheek before turning bright red. Only for you to pull her back in for a solid kiss on the lips causing her to turn an even darker shade of red that you didn't know was possible.
Nancy Wheeler: She'd be so busy making sure the New Year's Eve party is running smooth, that she'd be rushing around until the last few seconds on the countdown. You'd be worried that she forgot about your plans to share a kiss at midnight until she appears at your side just in time. As the clock strikes midnight she'd pull you in for a solid kiss that leaves you wanting to deepen it. Before you get the chance she'd be rushing off to solve the next party problem with a gentle squeeze of your arm.
Summary: When your best friend Steve overhears you joking with Nancy it changes the course of your friendship forever.

âAre we sure this is a good idea, what if someone calls the cops?â You ask, still not fully onboard with the idea of throwing a Christmas party.Â
âDonât worry itâs just for our group of friends plus if the cops get called weâre fine. Remember Chief Hopper is Jonathan and Willâs stepdad and heâd never bust them for having a party,â Steve reassures you as he hands you another box of decorations.Â
Removing the lid from the box you grab out a couple strands of garland and begin to place them around the living room. Steve follows behind you stringing up lights as he goes.Â
âYouâre sure we wonât get in trouble?âÂ
âItâs just a casual Christmas party, not a rager I promise. Plus half the people coming are practically children. Itâs just gonna be us hanging out and eating snacks for a few hours.âÂ
You knew Steve put his old habits behind him years ago but you were always nervous he would revert to his old ways. That this party would snap him back to who he used to be and what would start as an innocent group hang out would spiral into the party of the century. The fears that if he went back to his old ways he would drop you and you would be without a best friend once more rattled around your brain. As his words finally sink in you let your shoulders relax.
âPlus, Dustin is bringing Suzie and I donât want to scare her off. He seems to really like her so as surrogate mom I need to make a good impression,â Steve jokes and the last of your reservations disappear.Â
You continue to joke and talk as you finish putting up the last of the decorations. Every so often stopping to sneak a glance at your best friend wondering if there would ever be a chance for the two of you to be more.Â
The doorbell rings right at seven and you make your way to the entryway. You open the door for Nancy, Jonathan, and Robin ushering them in from the cold. Nancy pulls you into a quick hug as Jonathan offers a quiet hello.Â
âSo where is the dingus?â Robin asks as she wiggles her eyebrows at you.Â
Pushing her shoulder lightly you respond, âHeâs in the kitchen finishing up getting snacks ready.âÂ
âIâll go help him,â Robin announces before rushing off to the kitchen.Â
âIâm guessing this means you havenât talked to him about how you feel yet,â Nancy says as she loops her arm with yours and pulls you into the living room leaving Jonathan to get the door for the kids.Â
You take a seat next to her on the couch. âI donât wanna screw up what we have. Heâs my best friend. Why risk losing him when I can just stay his friend forever and at least have him in my life.âÂ
Nancy pats your arm giving you the same sad look her and Robin use everytime they bring up the topic and you and Steve being something more. You reach out and tap her nose breaking the awkward tension forming. Just then the kids, Jonathan, and Eddie file into the living room taking up all the available seats.Â
Glancing over your shoulder you look for any sign of Steve or Robin, wondering what is taking them so long. Turning your attention back to the room you smile at Eddie as he tries to mediate a fight between Lucas and Dustin about what Christmas movie everyone should watch.Â
Steve and Robin make their way toward the living room right as Nancy leans over, âMaybe some alone time with Eddie could help you forget about your feelings for Steve,â she jokes.Â
âI donât doubt that, he could probably make me forget my own name,â you joke back, bumping your shoulder into hers and you both laugh.Â
Behind you Steve shoves the tray of snacks heâs holding into Robinâs hands and rushes back into the kitchen needing some time to think. Robin takes it in stride and sets it on the coffee table with a loud thud.Â
âI think I hurt my wrist carrying the tray. Do you think you can go help Steve with the rest?â Robin asks as she plops down on the couch between you and Nancy. Before you can even answer her and Nancy are already chatting away about something one of the kids said.Â
Pushing off the couch you make your way into the kitchen to find Steve with his palms pushed against the countertop. His head hangs and his eyes are screwed shut. The sight of him sends a pang of panic to your chest.Â
âWhatâs wrong?â you ask as you place a hand on his back.Â
âDo you actually wanna fuck Munson?â he bites out as he curls a hand into a fist.Â
Your hand drops to your side as quickly as your mouth falls open. You hadnât realized that he heard your joke. If you knew he was standing there you never would have said anything.Â
You take a moment to assess the situation before settling on your response, âIt was just a dumb joke between me and Nancy. Plus I never said that I wanted to fuck him, just that he would probably be good at it.âÂ
âSo you donât wanna get under him?â His tone is gentler this time as he turns to look at you.Â
âNo, never. It was just a joke.â You run a hand along his arm hoping to calm him down so you can head back to the party in the other room.Â
His hand reaches out and grabs your free hand holding you in place. âSo do you still want to forget about your feelings for me?â His eyes search yours as if heâs trying to figure out what you are going to say.Â
âOnly if you want me to,â you whisper, now realizing the space between you had lessened.Â
He drops your hand, stepping in to cup your cheek. âThatâs the last thing I want babyâ he mumbles before crashing his lips to yours. Your hands tangle in his hair as your lips move in sync. Taking a step back he presses you into the counter. The cool press against your back sends a shiver down your spine and you tug at his hair in an attempt to deepen the kiss.Â
He pulls back and you drop your hands to his shoulders. You both take a moment to catch your breaths. He shoots you a smile before hoisting you onto the counter. Your legs instinctively wrap around his waist and he wastes no time diving back in for another kiss.Â
This time when he pulls away itâs to trail a line of kisses down your neck. He works his way back up and gently nips at your earlobe causing you to let out a moan that you try to muffle with your hand. His lips press against your ear and he whispers, âThe only one who is allowed to make you forget your name from now on is me.â You pull him back into another searing kiss completely forgetting about the party in the other room.Â
Summary: You finally convince your boyfriend Eddie to go ice skating with you and it goes about as chaotic as expected.

The ice skating rink outside the Starcout mall was deserted as you laced up your skates. Only a handful of others were brave enough to withstand the freezing cold temperatures to skate. Next to you your boyfriend Eddie was muttering under his breath. You knew he didnât want to be out in the cold but was doing it for you. Just the thought of him caring enough to come skating with you made your heart swell.Â
Grabbing his hand you lead him to the side of the rink. The second he steps onto the ice he grabs onto the wall and his grip on your hand tightens. His legs wobble under him like a baby deer trying to take its first steps. You cover your mouth with your free hand to hold back the laughter, knowing that if he catches you laughing your skate date will be over before you know it.Â
âYou better be ready to catch me if I fall,â Eddie grumbles before once more cautiously sliding his feet.Â
You squeeze his hand before responding, âOf course, I would never let you fallâÂ
The two of you make a slow lap around the rink and once back at where you started Eddieâs shoulders relax. Finally starting to feel more confident on the skates, his hand loosens its grip on yours. Letting go of his hand you skate ahead of him and he manages to follow.Â
âYouâre doing great baby,â you shout over your shoulder before picking up a bit more speed.Â
When you finally come to a stop he slides up next to you. Wrapping his arms around your waist he leans in for a quick kiss. A smile spreads on both of your faces as you bask in the warmth of each other.Â
âHoly shit, I actually did it!â His grip tightens on your waist as his voice grows louder.Â
âI knew you could do it.âÂ
He tugs at your waist in an attempt to pull you in again but this time your skates slip underneath you. You grasp at the material on his shoulders hoping to find something to help you catch your balance. Eventually gravity takes its toll and your feet fully slip out from under you, landing yourself on the cold ice.Â
Standing above you Eddie bites his lip trying to hold back a laugh. The second you clock the smirk on his face you reach out and yank his arm pulling him down to join you on the freezing ground. He groans as his ass meets the ground and finally you let out a laugh. He shoots you a glare but it quickly dissolves into a smile before he is laughing with you on the ice.Â
As your laughter dies out Eddie turns to you, âIâm really glad we did this.â Taking your hand he places a gentle kiss to the back of it before helping you up.Â
âSo you want to do this again next weekend?â you ask as you lead him out of the rink.Â
âAbsolutely not, but I can think of a few things we can do tonight.â He shoots you a wink as you roll your eyes at him.Â
âI guess since you took me skating like I wanted, itâs only fair we do something you want.â You grab his hand as you walk back to his van.Â
âBabe, you know you want all the same things that I do.âÂ
You pause and he stills next to you. Turning you meet his gaze and lean in for a quick kiss before whispering, âOf course I do, now letâs go heat this cold night up.âÂ
Summary: When you and your best friend Jonathan get trapped under the mistletoe tensions run high. But what happens when the mistletoe keeps popping up blurring the lines between friendship and more?

A/N: Divider by @saradika-graphics This is posted like three days late but I will have day 8 posted today as well.
âThanks for picking me up,â you tell your best friend Jonathan as you climb into the passenger seat of his car.Â
âNo problem, we were gonna drive past your house anyway,â he tells you while checking the rearview mirror to back the car out of your driveway.Â
âSo are you guys excited for the party?â You ask, making sure to turn around so Will would know he was included in the conversation.Â
He begins to ramble on about all the things he and his friends have planned for tonight. You listen carefully chiming in at various points. From the driverâs seat Jonathan steals glances at you wondering how he got so lucky to have a best friend that treats his little brother with so much love. He feels his heartbeat speed up as he listens to you trade corny jokes with Will and your laughter fills the car.Â
As you finally pull into the Wheelerâs driveway you lean over the center console and squeeze Jonathanâs arm. âSeriously, thank you so much for picking me up. I donât know what I would do without you.â The smile you send his way has him wanting to melt into his seat. He wanted to do whatever it took to keep that smile there all the time.Â
Your moment is broken as Will slams the car door and runs up to the house. Hopping out of the car the two of you follow him up the driveway to the front door where Nancy is waiting with a smirk. You shoot her a look but she ignores it instead stepping back into the house to let the two of you in.Â
The second you make it through the door youâre overwhelmed with the sound of shouting. It takes a second for you to process that the shouting is being directed at the two of you. Only once you look up do you realize that you and your best friend have found yourself in a more than friendly situation.Â
The green mistletoe dangles just about the front door where youâre both currently standing. Pointing at the small plant Jonathan finally gets the hint and looks up to see what all the noise is about. His cheeks turn red at the sight and you canât help but laugh at his sheepish expression.Â
âKiss already,â Robin yells from the other room. Finally you take charge and slowly lean in to press a quick kiss to his lips.Â
You pull away almost instantly as butterflies overtake your stomach. You had just kissed your best friend and it was the best kiss you ever had. And that was saying a lot because it was barely even a kiss. Just your lips ghosting against his. He clears his throat as he runs a hand through his hair and all you can imagine is running your fingers through it yourself as you explore his mouth with your own.Â
âIâm gonna go grab a drink,â you announce to no one in particular as you make your way towards the Wheelerâs kitchen. Hoping that some space from the scene of the crime will calm your nerves enough to pretend that the kiss hadnât confirmed what you had been repressing for so long. You were irrevocably in love with your best friend and there was no denying it anymore.Â
Grabbing a water bottle from the refrigerator you let the cool air wash over your face. Closing the door you take one final deep breath to steady your nerves. You pick at the label on the bottle as you make your way out of the kitchen not watching where youâre walking. Which is exactly why you walk straight into Jonathan.Â
He grabs your shoulders in an attempt to steady you. You give him a shy smile unsure of how to act around him anymore. âSorry,â is all you manage to say before youâre being interrupted.Â
âLooks like youâre caught under the mistletoe,â Max points out before pushing past the two of you. At the mere mention of mistletoe the rest of your group of friends come rushing in ready to witness another embarrassing moment between the two of you.Â
âCome on guys kiss for real this time,â Eddie urges as he leans an arm on the top of Dustinâs head.Â
This time there is no awkward staring wondering who will make the first move. Instead Jonathan leans in and presses a solid kiss to your lips. It couldnât have lasted more than a second but it sent you spiraling. As if the world had fallen out from beneath your feet. You blink at him a few times unsure of what to do. Before you figure it out he makes his way into the kitchen leaving you standing there speechless.Â
Little did you know that he was also freaking out. His best friend who heâd had a crush on for years has finally kissed him. What was he supposed to do? He couldnât just ask you out and assume you felt the same since it was only a mistletoe kiss. For all he knew you were just going along with it because it was a tradition. He didnât want to do anything that would jeopardize you walking out of his life. Especially because he knew it would affect more than just him in the grand scheme of things.Â
Lost in his thoughts he makes his way back to the living room. He takes the last open spot which happens to be on the couch next to you. Heâs so lost in his thoughts that he doesnât realize that both Eddie and Steve are sitting on the floor instead of the perfectly good spot next to you. Itâs only once he hears the cheers that he snaps his attention to the room around him. Next to him your head is buried in your hands. He glances around the room confused about why you seem so embarrassed.Â
Finally Will fills him in on what heâs missing, âPart three?â Will then points to the small bundle of mistletoe hanging over the section of the couch the two of you are sharing.Â
Turning red again Jonathan looks around the room. âWhatâs with all the mistletoe?âÂ
âHolly really wanted to put it up everywhere, must be some weird kid thing,â Mike shrugs as he explains.Â
When you finally lift your head from your hands you turn to meet his gaze. As you lean in to kiss him for the third time tonight you flip off your friends. Pressing your lips to his you can barely enjoy it knowing this had to have been a scheme by your friends since they knew about your crush.Â
Before you get the chance to fully pull away Jonathan whispers, âCan we talk for a minute?â His warm breath across your face makes your stomach flip before it plummets at the sound of his question.Â
You nod before standing to follow him into the dining room away from all your prying friends. He paces the length of the room running his hands through his hair. There is some quiet mumbling that you canât quite make out. Eventually you reach out and grab his arm, stopping him from continuing his trek across the room.Â
Standing directly in front of him you ask, âWhat did you need to talk about?â You hold his gaze willing yourself to come off as casual and not a bundle of nerves.Â
He takes a deep breath before reaching out to cup your cheek. âIâve had a crush on you for a long time and I never wanted to ruin our friendship,â he begins, suddenly unable to look you in the eyes. âI thought that if I ever said anything and you didnât like me back then Iâd lose you and I didnât want that. But I figure after how everything has gone tonight I should tell you and either you feel the same or you walk away from me. Which you would probably do even if I didnât confess since I probably made it painfully obvious all night that Iâm head over heels in love with you.âÂ
Your eyes well with tears as he finishes up his confession. The warmth of his palm against your cheek grounding you in the moment. You try to blink the tears away hoping to share your own heartfelt confession without being a sobbing mess. Instead a tear rolls down your cheek and he gently wipes it away.Â
âIâve had a crush on you forever and it wasnât until all of this mistletoe mania tonight that I realized it wasnât some silly high school crush I never grew out of but that I had fallen in love with you.â You hiccup as the tears fall freely now. Jonathanâs arms wrap around your waist pulling you to his chest. âItâs just I never realized that all the little things that I thought I liked about you as a friend were actually the things that were making me fall in love with you.âÂ
His fingers skim across your cheek once more before he cups your chin and leans in for another kiss. This time you both lean in and your mouths move together. Your hands finally find their home in his hair, giving it a light tug.Â
âThis is how I shouldâve kissed you from the start,â he mumbles against your lips. He nips at your bottom lip and you pull his hair harder.Â
âDonât worry about the past,â you pant, âletâs just focus on right now.â You slot your lips against his again never wanting the feeling to end.Â
âSave that for your own house,â Mr. Wheeler chides as he shuffles toward the kitchen.Â
The two of you spring apart mumbling apologies. He waves you off and you both go rushing back to the rest of your friends. Eager to get away from the awkward tension settling in the dining room. Jonathanâs hand finds yours and as your fingers intertwine your heart swells. Taking your seats on the couch again you bury your head in his shirt to avoid the teasing of your friends.Â
Only looking up when you hear Robin say, âSee Nance, I told you all the mistletoe would work.â You look at both of your friends before flipping them off once more. When you hear Jonathanâs laughter next to you and remember just how well it worked out you canât help but also blow a kiss to each of your meddling friends.Â

âEddie, baby, can we please listen to some Christmas music?â you ask your boyfriend as you slide into the passenger seat of his van.Â
His hand lands on your thigh as you settle into the seat. His ring laden fingers tap along to the beat of the song blaring from the radio.Â
As the song ends he glances in your direction only to be met with your pouting face. âYou know I canât say no to that face babe.â He lifts his hand to turn the dial on the radio looking for a station playing Christmas music that he deems bearable.Â
After he skips through numerous Christmas stations you finally reach out and grab his hand. Placing it back on your leg you reach into your coat pocket and pull out a cassette tape. He eyes you for a moment before turning his attention back to the road. You slip the cassette into the player and once it loads the sounds of guitars and drums fill the car.Â
âThis doesnât sound very Christmassy,â Eddie says.Â
âGive it a second,â you urge as a smile takes over your face.Â
Then just as promised the lyrics begin. The words to a familiar Christmas classic fill the car. Eddie turns to look at you, eyes wide. He opens and closes his mouth a few times before finally processing what heâs listening to.Â
âBabe, did you find metal Christmas music?â he asks in shock.Â
âYeah, I know you donât like regular Christmas music and I wanted us to both be happy so I searched around and found this.âÂ
He squeezes your thigh in appreciation, taking a moment to let the words sink in. âI love you so fucking much,â Eddie gushes. You lean across the center console and press a kiss to his cheek.Â
âYou know, I bet you could do some covers and people would love it. I know I would.âÂ
âBabe, if itâs what you want then itâs settled Corroded Coffin is gonna make a Christmas album.âÂ
You do a little happy dance in your seat before intertwining your fingers with his. The cool metal presses against your skin and you lay your head back. Content to let the music fill the silence as you take in what is shaping up to be one of the best Christmases yet.Â
Summary: Being new to town you befriend Steve and the gang. Close friendships are formed but you can't help but feel like there are secrets they are keeping from you. Could this have anything to do with the uneasy feeling you've had since you moved? The feeling that something is lurking in the shadows watching your every move.

A/N: Tiny little chapter with some fun bonding to hold you over until ficmas is over and I have more time to work on this series.
âWait, so you and Steve worked at an ice cream place together?â I ask, as I throw my hand over my mouth in a futile attempt to silence my laughter.Â
âYeah it was called Scoops Ahoy and we had to dress like sailors, Iâve never been so glad that the mall burned down then when I think about being stuck in that damn costume for work everyday.â Robin gestures wildly as she complains from her spot on the floor.Â
Nancy bites her lip before adding, âNo offense but those outfits didnât do either of you any favors.â This sets Robin off into another fit of giggles, this time taking Nancy with her.Â
I roll over the words once more before I realize Robin mentioned that the mall had burnt down. Since moving here I hadnât heard of anything about a mall let alone a mall fire.Â
Furrowing my brows I look at both girls in front of me and ask, âWhy did the mall burn down?âÂ
Robin's hands fall to her sides and the last of the laughter dies out. My one little question has left the room silent and I canât help but feel like Iâve overstepped.Â
I bite my lower lip suddenly hyper aware of how I ruined the mood. âIt doesnât matter, just forget I asked.âÂ
Robin and Nancy both shoot each other questioning looks as Robin spins one of the various rings adorning her fingers. Their silent conversation has me scrambling for anything to say to break the tension I unknowingly created.Â
âPlease tell me Jonathan got a picture of these uniforms.â I force a laugh and pray that my sad attempt at a joke lands. Robin and Nancy burst into a fit of giggles and suddenly everything feels normal again.Â
âHe does somewhere Iâll have to ask him for it so you can see.âÂ
The night carries on like normal with movies, snacks, and lots of jokes but I still canât shake the feeling of being an outsider. That there are all these things that they have experienced together that I may never know about. Especially if they freeze up every time I ask them about something they randomly mention.Â
