* Liz felt like something was wrong. V hadn't texted her for a while and it made the cheerleader frown and feel worried. She made the trek to the pod, knocking on the door with her eyebrows furrowed on her visor * " hey Goldie?... You, like, haven't been texting so I've been a little worried.... "
V had been curled up on the couch of the modified pod, her back to everything and her knees nearly to her chest. In their arms they held the plush cat that had once belonged to her youngest. Their eyes were shut, but they weren't asleep. They were just laying there, faint marks of oil on her face. Those weird oil tears were permanent it seemed.
The knocks from the door drew her attention, making her open an eye and turn towards it. They stared blankly at the door as Lizzy's words carried themselves to her. Right, her phone...
It had died a while ago, and she hadn't bothered to plug it back in thanks to recent events. She had been so focused on Star's death, making sure Salmon was okay, trying to fill J in on recent events, and getting comfort from Uzi... How could they have forgotten about Lizzy?
They rolled over and sat up, the ends of the legs meeting the floor. They should probably open the door... It's already been three minutes since Lizzy knocked. But did she even look presentable?
V shook off the thought, sitting Mr Shadow carefully in the corner of the couch before standing and approaching the door. They hesitated as their hand approached the handle, wondering what Lizzy would say, but brushed off the thoughts again and opened the door.
"Hey there, Tulip," She said quietly. Her hair was slightly messy, there were faint marks of her oily tears on both cheeks and she still only wore her cropped, black, tank top. "Nice to see you,"
