made this for realtalk4theculture~
running to seats, ah..
who would’ve known
that this is the way things would go
you always had soul,
just didn’t think our souls would part
here - the start of me being my own soulmate,
rethinking over where both you and i fucked up
back to where i felt i’ve had enough nights fighting with my best friend til the end
until it ended…
and you weren’t even down the street anymore
it became easier to ignore..
til its night time and it’s my time to cry
over the time we were in brooklyn and i told you i wanted to die tripping
and you felt the pain i was feeling..
you felt the pain i was feeling~
but i guess i’m still giving it some time
and i guess you are too
i don’t know anymore
i guess we’ll just stay on our own flow

i waste too much money on food i don’t eat
i decided to buy some food to treat myself for being able to go about a week with almost no money in my bank account
Except i bought too much food.
i also smoked a couple of cigarettes a little while before so i wasn’t even hungry
So now i’m sitting in the cafeteria in my campus, trying to kill time, and hoping the food that i bought will disappear or evaporate. In the midst of this all, however, i would like to point out the remarkable beauty I just witnessed.
When we think of fall, we picture leaves changing colors, falling off the trees in slow motion, glimmering in the light, until it softly hits the ground, dries up, becomes crunchy, and gets stepped on (at least I do). However, living in an urban, unpleasing city like Newark for twelve years has led me to believe that this idea of fall I have always pictured is only a myth. The leaves will change color, but will fall off the trees with no grace, and will have already turned an ugly brown. Leaving it no time to have the lively colors fade away, because they were already dead.
Well today, my idea of autumn was resurrected. As I am typing this in fact, I turn and still see a sea of leaves: yellow ones, golden ones, green ones with some yellow, orange ones, red ones, gently letting go of this attachment they each had with its tree, and falling out in clusters of three. Each one gently brushing onto the ground, in slow motion; the way a feather moves left and right and twirls this way and that until it finally approaches the concrete. Each leaf joining the group of leaves which have already drifted away, still with some color, but losing it as hours and seconds pass. The sun sheds light on the leaves which have already lost their color, almost as if it were trying to bring the green back, but except it’s too late.
it already died
and faded away
