i wish victor had lived longer and usually when i say this i’m talking 2-3 more seasons. however i do think it would’ve been really funny if he lived to meet jack. because okay imagine- victor is trailing the winchester brothers as he has for YEARS and one day they just pop up with a very young man and where the fuck did he come from? and the missing jimmy novak is also there and calling him his son? victor KNOWS the novak family. what is going on? there is NO way victor missed any of these men having a kid. so that means they kidnapped this boy potentially when he was still a minor. my guy victor would’ve actually gone insane.
imagine at some point he does actually manage to corner jack and asks him about the winchesters and jack is like ‘oh don’t worry! we are family! my mother trusted them with me :)!’ and shows victor a picture of the missing secretary of the US president
the victor-winchester dynamic in sam and dean’s pov:

Rewatched 7x04 of 9-1-1, and I don't think Buck realizes how flirty he is with Eddie 24/7, which is why Tommy like thinks that he's flirting lol...
Just watched 14x08 of spn for the first time and this is actually so sad... I was avoiding it for like a week bc I knew what was going to happen. But man. Also Kelly Kline has got to be one of the most over hated Supernatural characters of all time. WTF did she do wrong.
i love how, canonically, the relationship between buck and eddie isn’t just “best friends” but “this thing between us” and “what eddie and i have”
Some terrible shot selection here lmaoo.
I'm on 14x08 of my first rewatch of Supernatural, and I really don't wanna keep going. Like I know how this is going to end... It feels like Cas is hardly a character right now, and he's still going to break my heart.
I cannot believe how many Claire/Dean parallels there are and like how similar they are as characters. Hell, her backstory is kind of more tragic than Dean's when he was her age in the later seasons. Yet she gets so much hate? Like girl get behind me.
Passenger being so widely hated is a great example of audiences taking it all too seriously. It was a really fun, and while my biggest issue was like plot convenient like being spared by an ancient entity, that feels a bit like people complaining that Lucifer is a whiney bitch in Supernatural. Like I mean, he's been around for so long he's probably just mad bored. My biggest complaint was the boyfriend surviving, it would have been more like idk meaningful to me if he died, but IDK.
3.7/5
Someone needs to make a backrooms edit to Little Dark Age that goes viral before I decide to take it upon myself.
Tbh as I've actually like been watching Supernatural for the first time, I feel like Destiel especially in later seasons is very much written like so blatantly romantically. Even if you don't agree that Dean reciprocated, it's so telling how much the writers try to show how different their bond is compared to Sam + Cas. I admitadly sometimes have a hard time seeing Dean loving Cas in canon overall, but there are these crazy clear moments.
Like the chemistry is not as great as it used to be because they've kind of screwed each other over so much and grown a lot, and yet, the writers keep framing them together in shots in ways that they only really do for couples, or having people joke about their feelings for one another, or giving them divorce arcs. While Dean's moruning Cas in season 13 does not have to be romantic, it feels that way because of the framing of shots, parallels with canon romantic couples, and yes, the Brokeback Mountain shot of Dean punching the wall.
And while this could all be built up because Cas loves Dean, but it just feels weird to have all this build up that is romantic on one side and platonic on the other, because it makes it all seem more romantic from Dean's side in retrospect. Like what do you mean that the buildup for Cas loving Dean was also shown in villains clocking him when Dean was also getting clocked? What do you mean the parallels were only meant to show one thing and not another. What do you mean that romantic music they played when Dean and Cas saw each other for the first time in season 14, only when they saw each other? By making Cas' actions be based in love retroactively, they made the whole show seem more like a queer love story.
Backrooms was really good, but like Mary is so much less interesting than Clark and his employees, I would have wanted to see more of his descent into madness while exploring, how he got the monster to not kill him and stuff. Mary was cool, but not well developed, and neither was the whole lab/scientist thing.
I love Claire, but I feel like she hasn't done anything all season (halfway through season 4). Feels like a waste of potential to just make her an art school student who like doesn't really love her classmates/has a tumultuous relationship with them.
9-1-1's Most Harmful Queerbaiting Comes in the Form of Eddie Diaz' Sexuality
Today, we're going to explore all of this in a 10,000 word essay that I'm writing instead of doing SAT prep...
But no, really. Might actually write this lol. It just feels far more tone deaf and harmful to me than baiting with Buddie.
Like I'm not saying that Eddie has to be a queer character, but with all the given build up that keeps getting added to, it feels a bit weird to never address all the build up, and leaves him feeling underdeveloped as a character.
There have been so many moments of his that scream comphet, and if the writers didn't want him to be read in that way, or make it seem ambiguous for viewership there were so many moments in season 9 that could have just... not happened. Like him being willing to spend a ton of money to not get bid on, and being totally not interested in women when clubbing. It feels malicious to be doing all that if they can't commit.
Especially since there is a fair bit of queerbaiting with his relationship with Buck both in the show and in interviews, which would imply him being queer.
Anyways, happy pride!!!
I can't believe I'm more excited for the new Charli album than any other release this year, but rock music and SS26 were absolute bangers...
