The school year is almost over, thank god. Finally, no more staying up till 4 am trying to research the perfect answer for a history class that probably doesn’t even matter. Maia was studying peacefully for midterms while listening to music when someone sat in the chair in front of her.

technically honey didn’t have anything to really study for. her finals were all projects and she had one test she had to take but it was just for the final chapter of a book she had read throughout the semester. but here she was in the library , going to look over notes about the book. the library was packed and she was only relieved when she saw maia and an empty seat in front of her. “ hey. ” she greets while pulling out the chair and sitting down.

Waking up in the middle of his textbooks being sprawled all over his bed, Hugo let a low groan escape past his throat in annoyance, feeling like none of the things he had studied had actually been registered in his brain. It really seemed like whatever his parents thought of him was actually true, he thought, slender digits running through his head full of hair in annoyance. Yet, as if on cue, the screen of his phone lit up, Hugo immediately reaching for it and failing to conceal a wide smile at the sight of his girlfriend’s name; she had mentioned something about wanting to go to the zoo and what better timing than today? The weather was on their side, it was still the weekend and most importantly, he knew just how much time she spent hiding in her little room to get all her work done and certainly deserved a break. After a quick shower and leaving a post-it note behind to tell Sofia that he would be gone for most of the day, the male grabbed on his belonging as well as a backpack before heading to Smithies as to pack their lunches and snacks, making it a quick stop before heading back outside the dormitories and sending out a text to Honey. 

❛❛ Good morning, my love. I’m outside the dormitories, we’re going to the zoo! 

honey had spent most of her night working on projects and finishing up essays so that she could just go to her professors and drop them off on monday morning and never have to worry about school again. or at least all summer. she was tired of the projects , the essays , the deadlines and waking up at 6am to get to her 8am classes. she didn’t know why she did that to herself , but she did. she was just laying on her bed , bored and honestly about to fall back to sleep fully clothes when she got a text from hugo and her face broke out into a big smile. 

“ morning !! okay , give me 10 minutes !! ” she replies quickly and then starts to rush around her room , throwing on a simple dress and quickly adding some light makeup to her face. nothing too over the top for once , too excited to go to the zoo to worry about making crazy eyeliner or wearing glitter lipstick. but she still wanted to look cute. in record time honey is done , and almost running to where hugo is. when she finally sees him she bounces over to her boyfriend and throws her arms around him giving him a big hug. “ hi. ”

             “  how does that  –––  you’re still drunk. being 5′3 and a lightweight doesn’t excuse your intoxication level  ,  honey.  ”  it was almost amusing to him  ,  but he remained plain as usual.  “  dunno yet.  ”  shoulders shrug. he could. could find someone to leave with but then that would mean ditching bren and he wouldn’t do that so he supposed he was leaving with someone but that was too complicated to explain to a drunk honey.  “  yeah  ,  what about it  ,  detective honey  ?  we’re friends.  ”  almost minds the leaning but doesn’t because it’s her. 

“ i am not drunk !! i’m tipsy , bas. i know when i’m drunk. ” she huffs , crossing her arms. she was glad bas was around , knew she wouldn’t have to deal with any annoying frat boys if him or any other male was around her. “ just saying. i’m very observant , sebastian. very , very observant. ” she lays her head where ever it’ll fall on his arm. too short for his shoulder , so maybe his elbow ?? she didn’t know. “ detective honey !! that sounds so cool , i wanna change my major now. i wanna solve crimes and the forces of evil. ”

Hugo barely had time to register what was to come next as he quickly reciprocated the kiss left on his lips, hand grabbing on Honey’s before helping her twirl around in front of his very eyes; she looked like an absolute dream (when didn’t she?)  ❛ Ah, no vamos a la fiesta, mi amore — I don’t want to be responsible of all those people about to have a heart attack ❜ he grinned, eyes scanning up and down his girlfriend’s outfit in awe before leaning in yet again, pressing feather-like pecks against her exposed shoulders. ❛ Are we ready to go, baby? ❜ his eyes darted past the petite woman, humming. ❛ Cruz already left? ❜

honey giggles as she’s twirled around by hugo. she never knew love could be this easy , this simple. everything had always been such a fight for her. this was different , nice. “ no no. tenemos que ir a la fiesta, papi. ” she’s not helping her case at all. “ tengo este vestido para la fiesta, así que tenemos que irnos. ” she continues. it’s a lie , she had gotten it for vegas and it just shipped too late , but it was pretty perfect for a frat party. “ yeah. he left a little while ago. ” she turns to face hugo , a little taller than normal because of her heels. “ why ?? ”

          “  it’s just a fun game  ,  you don’t have to be good at it  !  but  ,  you are good at it. my point is just that it doesn’t matter. it’s just to have fun  !  you don’t have to produce a masterpiece. i’m just going to doodle and besides  ,  i hate drawing myself. c’mon. i’ll be fun.  ”  scrolls down on his phone and taps on the screen  ,  loud laugh leaving his lips as he sees the words pull up on the screen.  “  as a pokemon. draw yourself. as a pokmeon.  ”  fin couldn’t help but laugh. definitely didn’t have any experience drawing pokemon or even with pokemon at all  ,  but he could wing it.  “  don’t worry  ,  i’m drawing the same thing as you and mines going to be as equally terrible. but  –––   it’s gonna be fun. do you think we should set a timer  ?  or just wing it  ?  ” he just wanted to encourage honey to draw. to express her talent. wanted her to know she was more than just drawing little outfits. 

“ i know !! ” she says , throwing her hands up. but she wants to be !! she wants to be a good artist , especially compared to someone like fin. she didn’t want to look stupid , not that she though fin would make fun of anything she did but for herself. she starts to laugh along with fin after he says what they need to draw themselves as. maybe she could do this after her. just a simple doodle of herself as a pokemon. “ i know you’re right. ” she says softly , moving closer to fin. “ what pokemon are you gonna be , finny ?? ” she asks , starting to sketch lightly. “ i’m gonna draw myself as pawniard because he has knife hands. ”

Looking at himself one last time in the full-length mirror in his room, Hugo seemed to be satisfied with his choice of clothing and styling of his hair; the man looked like he was headed to a red carpet yet it was only a frat party - Hugo was known to be doing the most, at all times, anyways. Thankfully, his girlfriend was no different as the video she had sent him of the dress she was planning on wearing had him drooling for her, already. After a couple knocks on her dorm’s door, the male shouted loud enough for Honey to hear him, a wide grin spreading on his lips out of excitement. ❛ Hugo Oliveira here, ready to pick up the most beautiful girl I know !! ❜ // @llkehoney​

ever since the two had gotten together honey was splitting her time up between being with hugo at his place and going back to her dorm to spend time with her cruz. it was nice balance and honey enjoyed being able to be with both boys whenever she needed it. her and cruz had been together all day , smoking and then getting ready but not without her sending some videos to hugo throughout the day. she’s putting highlight on her shoulders when she hears the knocks and ignores it to just finish quickly. then she hears hugo talking and laughs loudly , putting down her brush and bouncing to the door. “ hi. ” she smiles , on her toes for a kiss.

         despite the conversation they had  ,  brennan and sebastian get separated for enough time for someone to come bother him. not someone  ,  but honey. now  ,  was honey actually a bother  ?  no. but did she need to know that  ?  absolutely not.  “  hello honey. you’re drunk  ,  huh  ?  ”  he was buzzed  ,  but besides talking a little bit more he wasn’t that different drunk. and besides  ,  he wasn’t quite there yet anyway.  “  i’m not. i just decided to try being social and i immediately regretted it and will be leaving shortly.  ”  as soon as he could find bren again  ,  that was.  “  you seem like you’re having a good time  ?  ”

honey knew she could do anything to bas and he wouldn’t really mind , he wasn’t good at hiding it. “ i’m not drunk. i’m 5′3 and i played beer pong , please be respectful. ” she slurs a little bit , smiling at bas. “ you leaving with anyone , bassy ?? ” she asks , taking a few sips of her drink and then leaning against sebastian’s side , suddenly her body just feeling too heavy to hold up herself. “ saw you walk in with a certain boy. ”

honey was a little tipsy but winning a round of beer pong with blue was worth it. it really didn’t take all 5′3 of honey to get tipsy , so here she was , scanning the room for hugo or anyone she could go annoy and then she saw bas , perfect. she bounces over to him and stands right in front of him. “ hello , sebastian !! ” she yells over the music. “ how are you !!!!?? ” she switches her long island iced tea to her other hand and pokes bas’ chest. “ didn’t think you were into these kinds of things. ” @basmndsa​

           they were total opposites  ,  but for some reason it just seemed to work. no one really knew why  ,  but fin wasn’t going to question it. no need in questioning a friendship that worked. sitting in his apartment with honey  ,  they both had sketch books out in front of them and fin’s phone in the middle of them. he had an app open on his phone that was going to tell them who to draw and what they’re doing. fin thought it would be a fun game for them  ,  so he clicks and holds on the first moving picture to reveal who they’re drawing.  “  yourself.  ”  he laughs softly  –––  hated self portraits  ,  but this was a game.  “  do you want to know what you’re doing first  ,  or start drawing yourself first  ?  ” @llkehoney​

honey didn’t think she was as good of an artist as fin is  , so this game he found was going to piss her off at some point. when it lands on self portrait she wants to strangle to tall male , pressing the point of her pencil against the paper. “ fin , i’m not an artist. ” she says , trying not to break the point of her pencil. “ i just doodle silly little outfits , i’m not as good as you are. i don’t know how to draw a face. ” her insecurities are getting the better of her and she knows it , she wishes she could shut up , but something about fin makes it easy to say things she wouldn’t say to anyone else. she acts like her drawings aren’t amazing , even if she hasn’t ventured out of drawing outfits she makes by hand. “ we can see what i’m doing first. ” she says softly.

Everything about this evening felt right ; being in the presence of the woman he loved had Hugo smiling from ear to ear in glee, her mere aura able to make him forget about the mess surrounding him at all times. ❛ little boyfriend, h u h? do i need to worry about my girl getting snatched by a 7 year old? ❜ he joked, the dramatic act adding up to the comedic effect before bringing Honey’s hand up to his lips, pressing a loving peck against the back of it. With everything going on around the campus since getting back from Vegas, the couple barely had any time for themselves, hence the impromptu date night Hugo had planned for the both of them and god knows how much he looked forwards to it, all day. And little did they knew, the duo had already reached the beach, the car now parked once roaring engine came to stop.  ❛ here we are, m’lady ❜ he spoke up, grabbing on the blanket he had prepared before circling around the car as to open the door for his girlfriend, offering her his hand to hold.  ❛ thank god, it seems like we’re the only ones here, for now ❜

honey thought she was so in love with who she dated in high school. but even early on when feelings were new and she was excited to see them it never felt like this. she knew -- she knew hugo was it. was it too fast ?? too much ?? apparently not , since they were both rushing into marriage but that couldn’t stop any underlying thoughts that honey had swimming in her head. but she didn’t need to bring those up tonight. “ no. he won’t be a problem for at least twenty years.” she smiles. she's  buzzing in her seat , watching hugo and almost didnt realize that they were at the beach. she jumps out of the car and takes hugo’s hand , giving it a squeeze. “ mm , good. means we can get a little freaky and not have to worry about getting arrested. ” she jokes bouncing on her tip toes , a big smile on her face. there was something about hugo that made honey smile uncontrollably whenever he was around. she could be in the worst mood and just seeing the male would put a smile on her face. she starts to pull hugo to the sand , grateful she decided to wear sneakers to sebastians. “ i’ve never been to the beach this late. ” she admits.

I just…wanted to make sure I was making the right decision before I properly did anything.” She sighed. “Not that it matters, because I’m still none the wiser.” Taking a sip of her coffee, she smiled. “Oh and he definitely didn’t do anything with Cass in Vegas, so, credit where credit is due I guess.” She looked down at the table, before moving her eyes upwards to meet with the other girls. “But, he’s clearly moving on…and I think it’s time I did the same, if you’d still be okay with helping me?”

usually honey wouldn’t give someone like gracie the time of day , she didn’t have time to deal with shit like that , but gracie was nice and honey was softening up more and more these days. she takes a sip of her iced coffee and makes a face as gracie speaks about ares. “ men don’t get credit. ” she says half joking and half not. “ but look , it’s good that you want to move on. it’ll be so good for you. but you can still make him want to come crawling back while doing that. you know ?? let me put you in something cute , something that’ll make him fall on his knees. also you deserve a little spa day , right ?? ”

Feeling a smile tugging on his lips at the shared kiss, Hugo quickly closed the car door for Honey before hopping back into the driver’s seat, grabbing on the jacket he had brought with him before handing it to Honey, not wanting her to get cold even though the weather was getting nicer, these days. ❛ Did you had fun, baby? ❜ he asked with genuine interest, one hand reaching to hold on her own while the other was on the steering wheel, the luxurious car speeding away in the opposite direction of the campus. ❛ I hope you had nothing planned..I thought we could probably enjoy some alone time at the beach, what do you say? ❜ His head tilted a tad bit as to catch a glimpse of the beauty seated next to him, their fingers intertwining together while the fresh breeze ran through their loose tresses. 

honey smiles when hugo gives her his jacket , wrapping it around her and snuggling into it , smelling her boyfriend. they were only official for a few days , but they had had almost nine months of feelings , so to anyone else them saying they were in love was strange but for them , it felt right. it was real and it made sense and honey could see this being her future. she hadn’t thought about her life past college in a while and hugo made her think long term , which was scary but exciting.  “ yeah. ” she smiles over at him , slipping her hand into hugo’s and giving it a soft squeeze. “ my little boyfriend was very excited. he told me all about his day and we had milkshakes and fries. ” she watches hugo as he drives , tracing his jaw with her eyes. “ no , nothing planned. just spending time with you. ” it had been a while since honey had let herself be soft , and it felt nice to not feel constantly on guard. “ the beach sounds amazing. ”

Hugo had spent the day catching up with his many missed lectures and due papers for his classes, though his mind was often drifting away as excitement was building up inside him at the thought only of getting to see his girlfriend. — g o d ! who would have thought the resident playboy would ever get tamed and utterly in love? Tiding up his room in case both him and Honey were to make it back to his dorm later on, Hugo quickly reached for his jacket and car keys, having promised the woman to pick her up from Bas’ place. After all, the spaniard wouldn’t be at ease with the idea of having her walking back all the way to the campus on her own. Bas’ place was about 15 minutes away from their dormitories, Hugo quickly shooting a text to Honey as to notify her of his arrival. ❛ Quién es esa linda chica de allá? ❜ he grinned at the mere sight of her walking out the front door, immediately jumping out the expensive convertible as to open the door for her. // @llkehoney​

honey loves going over to sebastian’s house , seeing his siblings and getting to just feel the most at home she’s ever felt since leaving her own home. she was always down to go over and spend hours and hours with sammy and the others. she read sammy some bedtime stories and then sent hugo a text asking if he could pick her up , which of course he said yes. as soon as she gets the text that he’s outside she’s ready to go , yelling a quick goodbye to everyone still up in the house. “ oh , shut up. ” she can’t help the grin that’s plastered on her face , and that has been there since the other day when they were finally okay again , and even better than before. she kisses hugo quickly before getting into his car , putting her backpack on the floor between her legs. she has a feeling they wont be going back to the dorms right away , which is fine. she loves to spend time with hugo.
