“Hope I’m not annoying you.” Minnie gave her a smile.
eleanor looked up as she eyed the girl up and down before giving a shrug of her shoulders, “you’re good. if you were, you’d know it. because most people who do annoy me, end up in the lake in a matter of minutes of starting a conversation with me.” she said with a small laugh, “don’t worry, i’m harmless... to you at least. to be completely honest, having someone who isn’t related to me to talk to, is kinda nice.”
“Ugh, why can’t you ask for my shoe collection or closet like everyone else? Alright, fine.” At least now she was motivated to win.
"because, honey, if i wanted something last season, i’d just hit up the clearance section at target.” eleanor smiled softly, “good, and look you’re already dressed for the part, how perfect... now come on, let’s play.”
“i did like it. cried like a baby, but that’s the mark of a good book. the words making you feel somethin’. you should definitely check it out.”
“hey, if you say it’s good, it must be. and i’m always game whenever people tell me that those books will make me cry, because it’s very hard to make a couple tears fall onto these perfectly contoured cheeks.”
“Nadia Abadi, at your service.” She winked doing a small curtsy. “I’d like to think of myself as a nice enough person so I hope your experience speaking to me so far has been…decent.”
eleanor raised an eyebrow at the brunette as a small smirk fell across her lips, “it’s been lovely, best moment of the entire week.” she smiled softly as she rested her hands on her hips, “i can only hope that i’ve been decent enough company as well.”
“Yep.” She nodded popping the ‘p’. “Hermes?” She raised an eyebrow. “And uh what’s your name?”
eleanor nodded her head as she offered a sly smile, “sadly,” she said with a small laugh, “eleanor and you’re like...” she paused at the end of her sentence waiting for the girls name
“Gun show or hurting kids? I feel pretty used actually, not sure I’m really being as appreciated as I could be.”
"to be really honest i’d rather just see that gun show of those biceps... well i don’t know, knock some sense into them, scare them a bit or somethin’. that’s what my mama always did.”
“We can make a wager, that’d make it fun! What’s our bet?”
“loser cleans the stables alone.” eleanor suggested, raising an eyebrow at the girl. though it was unknown to catalina (or at least so she thought) , eleanor was given the task of cleaning the stables due to her poor behavior. so either way, this would get the job done. “sound good?”
“She’s really good, but I think she eats like ninety percent of what she makes. She’s always so hyper.”
“damn... she’s not really, at least not around me. she’s pretty cool, one of the few newer ones that i actually like, you know? whereas most everyone else annoys the hell out of me.”
alex sat next to eleanor and gave her a quick hug, now that she knew it was okay for her to do that. “thanks. have you ever read ‘we were liars’?”
eleanor smiled as she offered a small laugh, “uh, i heard about it. some friends read it, but i haven’t gotten round to it. do you like it? is it like somethin’ i should be checkin’ out yeah?”
“Hell we’ll be lucky if we live past twenty-five.” The life expectancy of a demigod especially with the monster’s outside their walls wasn’t that high. Fiona crosses her arms and laughs, “Thank you, I’m glad you finally saw reason.”
"i’m just trying to get into the 27 club, goals right there.” eleanor laughed, adding some sort of comedy to the tragic fate of their most likely short time left on the earth. “more like refused to see it, but course. you’re welcome gorgeous.” she teased lightly
Catalina busied herself with rearranging the game, as a younger camper grudgingly walked away. She couldn’t help herself from letting out a laugh. “Someone’s a sore loser. Anyone else wanna play?”
“i mean, it depends.” eleanor smiled, “is it just for fun or is there some sort of wager on the table... because if it’s the first one, i’m just gunna walk away right now, yeah?”
“Looking forward to that love.” She chuckled, allowing a small grin to fall on her lips.
eleanor smiled as she looked the girl up and down briefly before speaking again, “you’re an athena girl, yeah?” she asked, shifting her weight to her side, “i’ve seen you around, or at least by the cabin. so forgive me if im wrong.”
“thanks, i guess.” alex smiled. no one’s ever called her warm. she didn’t really talk to a lot of people back in winchester. “i’ll be sure to check it out, then.”
"course.” eleanor smiled back at alex as she scooted a bit over in her seat, allowing room for alex to sit next to her, “i’ll let you know if it’s good, i’d hate for you to spend time on a crap book, you know?”
“Alexis. She’s Poseidon’s daughter, bakes like half the time.”
"alex? damn, i never really asked where she was from.. but damn. should have guessed by the accent but i’m just an idiot, what can i say. i’ll have to get her to make me somethin’... that sounds nice.”
“You’re totally not allowed to attend my funeral now. Don’t even try to get in or else.” Fiona grinned and shook her head. “They did not bug out. You’re making that up.”
"i doubt i’ll live long enough to see anyone’s funeral.” eleanor laughed, “okay, you got me.” the brunette teased as she held her hands up in defense “totally cute and not buggy, don’t worry.”
“Eh, in my defense love I’m not entirely awake right now. So it’s not my fault if I happen to forget the things said in the past…30 seconds.” She shrugged. “Yeah? That sounds like a wonderful idea filled with excruciating pain. Although I would have to pass on that babe.” She visibly grimaced.
“fair enough of a reaction then.” eleanor said nonchalantly as she as well offered up a shrug, “awe, alright your loss lovely. but don’t worry i’ll hit you up on the offer next time, yeah?” she teased as a small laugh escaped her lips
