sophie and keefe are a bad match to start out, even though they’re both highly valued in the elvin society. sophie never actually became matchable, but keefe was not gonna let that stop him from marrying her
keefe was supposed to propose, and he had big plans for when it was going to happen. but once he started, he got too emotional and sophie was ultimately the one who did the asking.
they both wore matching engagement rings for the duration of their engagement, and eventually wear them on necklaces
their wedding was incredibly simple, and while many people wanted to go, they had very little guests with all of their friends standing up with them, and oralie was the officiator
keefe took sophie’s name, so they become the fosters, and keefe finds it so cool that he has a human name, much cooler than his stupid family name
their wedding bands were made by a human jeweller instead of elvin
after their wedding, they begin to move into their new house, which was designed almost entirely by keefe
nobody would see it by just walking in, but there is keefe influence everywhere. he carved the trimming of every doorway, and he and sophie painted the walls so their house would be as unique to them as possible
they designed their own family crest, a square with the silhouettes of silveny and greyfell on either side, flying in a starlit sky
as a housewarming gift, grady and edaline made them a framed mural of calla’s tree out of the fallen flowers and petals. it hangs above their mantle
they have t o n s of human things in their house. books sophie used to love, a DVD player, pop figures, and especially clothes
keefe develops a love for oversized hoodies, he will lounge in them every day, and sophie will take any chance to steal them. she likes that they smell like him, and they both agree that they’re way more comfortable than tunics.
after they’ve been married for a month or so, they begin the new Foster Rehabilitation Center, in partnership to the Ruewen Rehabilitation Center. they’ll trade any challenging animals, or animals that need specific accommodations, and share tips and tricks with each other
sophie and keefe are the married couple that still act like teenagers
and they’ll speak so casually to each other
“dude, we’re adults now. we can do whatever we want.”
so they make like. five batches of mallowmelt and watch movies and stay up all night because Nobody Can Tell Them No
they’re basically living out their teenage years as grown adults since a lot of their teenage years were stolen from them because of the whole neverseen/black swan situation
they run around and act like children sometimes, and chase each other around their house, and keefe will catch sophie from behind and hold her close
once they’ve been married for about a year, sophie starts to stress out about timing and jobs and kids because of her upbringing, and keefe has to slow her down a bit
“chill foster, we’re only like, 22 years old.”
“onLY 22?? I WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A DOCTOR BY 16.”
needless to say, they hold off on kids for awhile
but they’re an amazing married couple because they’re best friends, and they feel comfortable around each other
