Half of me: Brienne is writing the rest of Jaime’s story how touching
The other half of me: the writers have reduced even her final scene to a man who left her crying in the snow for his twin sister and I hate it 🙃

one of the reasons this ending sucks so much is the implication of it
missandei dying in chains, the hound dying in fire, jamie going back to cersei, dany fulfilling a “mad targaryen” expectation
it’s like they’re saying “you can never escape your past, what you’ve been will always be what you are”
and thats a really really terrible message to be sending
“I’m happy that you’re happy.”

1st September 1532 | Anne Boleyn becomes Marquess of Pembroke
On this day in 1532, King Henry VIII elevated his love and soon-to-be-Queen, Anne Boleyn, to the title of Marquess of Pembroke - a brand new title of nobility for his love. Although he was still technically married to Queen Katherine of Aragon, he was already planning his future with his new romantic interest, and in order to prepare for marriage it was necessary to bump her up in status. Along with this elevation, Anne Boleyn also received lands in Wales and an increase in wealth.
This was significant for a number of reasons, the first being that no other woman had ever been bestowed with the title, secondly, the earldom of Pembroke had previously been held by Henry’s great-uncle, Jasper Tudor, and so had strong royal connections, and finally the title made Anne the most prestigious non-royal woman in the realm.
To Henry, this was incredibly important, and probably a very exciting day for both him and Anne. This was not simply the elevation of a commoner to a noble, this was one step closer to marriage. In Henry’s mind, he was already a single man and he was completely devoted and besotted with Anne. Therefore, raising her to the title of Marquess of Pembroke showed everyone at court that he was completely serious and dedicated in his mission to make her his next wife and queen. (source)
