You and your partner are hosting a dinner party with all of your friends. You're sitting across the room from them, making light conversation. Suddenly, they stand up and address the room.
"I believe everyone's here, lets all take a seat at the table." They look to you and say, "honey, be a dear and grab our guests some drinks?"
At those words, you fall back into yourself, completely losing touch with your body. From somewhere behind your own eyes, you look out and watch yourself stand up, speak to the guests, gracefully stride to the kitchen, pour a few glasses of wine...
None of it matters. Your body is on autopilot, and you know you can trust your partner. No, what matters now to you is the ecstasy. A warm feeling moves over and throughout you, like the first sip of a fresh cup of tea. Your brain feels like it's floating in a pool of thick liquid pleasure. You try to moan, but you can't find your own mouth.
Throughout everything, the lilting voice of your partner layered a thousand times over echos all around you. "Oh, look at you go, baby! Such a good girl, my good obedient girl. Keep going, you're doing so well for me. You're the most amazing servant, yes you are! My pretty little waitress, my sweet darling-"
The voice of your partner cuts through the noise in an instant. "That will be all, my dear, thank you."
You're back. You watched it happen, but it takes a moment for you to recount the time where everyone sat down, and the time you spent handing them their drinks one by one. Now they're thanking you, some of them half-heartedly raising and lowering their glasses in mock toast. All they saw was a very polite host at the beck and call of her partner. They thought nothing of it.
You sit down, letting out a small grin. You realize that every spiral, every pendulum, every metronome, every whisper in your ears was all in preparation for this short moment, and now the moment was gone.
You wonder: What will your next job be?
