Sam smiled. “We’re gonna be fine on our own. But I like having you here.” He said.
“Yeah,” Logan mused softly in agreement.
Sam's mum smiled. "We'll come back before going home. Maybe take you out to lunch or something." She said.

Logan looked over at her. He felt like he barely knew the woman, but she was so motherly.
Sam smiled. “We’re gonna be fine on our own. But I like having you here.” He said.

Logan busied himself eating ice cream quietly. He was slowly turning back to his normal color.
Sam ate his ice cream slowly.
“We’re going to get out of your hair soon.” His mother said.

Logan turned red at the whisper and had to shift himself a little bit. That was cruel. He slowly made his way back to the table as well.
Sam smirked at Logan and sat back down at the table, giving everyone some ice cream before starting to eat. “Are you gonna stay in New York for a bit?” He asked his parents and his mother smiled.
“We’re gonna stay for a few nights. See a few friends and such.”

Logan got the bowls and spoons.
Sam walked over to Logan and put the ice cream on the counter before slowly scratching his neck. “My good boy.” He whispered and then winked at him before taking the ice cream again and walking back to the dining table.

Logan smiled and followed Sam like a puppy. He wanted to help.
Sam smiled when Logan followed him. He opened the freezer and got out the ice cream.

Logan nodded. “Ice cream?”
Sam smiled. “That was the plan.” He got up and started to clean up the table. He pressed a kiss to Sam’s head and then walked over to the kitchen.

Logan felt pretty good all things considered. He didn’t know what to say.
Sam was content right now. “Some dessert?” He asked when everyone was finished.

Logan was never religious. He was almost envious of those that were. The man ate quietly once Sam started.
Dinner was a quiet time. Sam could feel the eyes of his parents on him and Logan every now and then, but he knew they were just curious and not judging them. He was happy to be here right now.

Logan normally would have felt uncomfortable with such a touch around his parents, but he was feeling so good. He placed his hand on top of Sam’s, waiting for him to eat first. It was a habit he just couldn’t break.
Sam’s mum spoke a short prayer and then Sam and his dad started eating.

Logan smiled anf sat down at his normal spot next to Sam. He was so happy.
Sam placed one hand on Logan’s thigh. It was just natural for him to do that. He liked having some sort of body contact to Logan at all times when they were close to each other.

Logan kissed his cheek. “Love you too,” he whispered.
Sam smiled widely and waited for Logan to finish setting the table before he brought out the food. His mother joined them again as well.

Logan nodded and busied himself like a good sub.
Sam smiled at Logan and hugged him when he walked past him to kiss him. “Love you.” He whispered and then finished cooking the food.

Logan nodded. “Need any more help?”
“You can get the drinks and finish setting the table. That would be a great help.”

Logan nodded. “Yeah,” he replied. “I feel… Pretty okay.”
Sam smiled. “That’s good. Dinner is nearly ready.”

Logan kept his distance, but smiled at him.
Sam walked into the living room and pressed a kiss to Logan’s head before walking over to the dining table and setting down the plates in his hand. “Are you two alright?”

He smiled at him. “I feel so much happier too.”
Sam’s dad chuckled. “That’s great.”
