“I haven’t had any more nightmares since you gave it to me.” It was true, she hadn’t had another vision, but she knew that she would sooner or later. Still, she didn’t want Logan to feel bad. It really had been a thoughtful gift.

“That’s good!” Logan replied, excited. “I’m glad.” Nodding, he couldn’t help the wide smile that overtook his features, knowing he had been able to help bring her at least a small amount of comfort, however indirectly. “I’m really glad.” He said once again, softer, more to himself than anything. “They should make some sort of charm for those things, you know? Like Dreamless Sleep, but only when you’re close enough to it.”

“It was okay.” Julia shrugged. “A little awkward, if truth be told.”

“Oh, I’m sorry to hear that.” His voice softened, not wanting to push her if she didn’t want to talk about it, but Logan would be lying if he said he wasn’t curious. “I got you something - if that helps anything.” He pulled a small package out of his bag and handed it to her with a soft grin.

Logan couldn't have stopped the smile her appearance pulled out of him even if he'd wanted to - he'd missed seeing her. "It was good! Quiet, peaceful. Cold." He laughed, shrugging. "What about you? Did you enjoy your holiday? "

“I mean, it’s a lot of work, but I like it because it’s what I like to do, so I don’t mind it. Do you enjoy to write? Or would you rather do something else like take photos, or edit? I can try and get you a meeting with one of the editors, Avery, see if you’ll like it, you can learn what she does.”

"Not writing, so much. Never been a strong suit." Logan sighed with a light shrug, sort of envious of the people who were good at it. "Photos might be nice, I don't have much experience, but I've enjoyed it in the past. Could you? That'd be awesome."

"I... I mean, not much? We were out by the lake and I just sort of asked her if she'd want to come with me." He shrugged, wondering if she really could glean more out of the simple exchange. "And she said yeah, obviously."

“Thanks.” Julia grabbed a cup and poured herself some punch from the fountain. She took a sip. “That’s good.”

Logan smiled, his nerves settling in his stomach now that they were here. He'd been so anxious about just getting to this point, he wasn't sure what to do now. "Oh, I've been meaning to ask - does the dream catcher help? I know they're not really legit, but..."

“Last Tuesday…” Lissa dug through her memory. “We were working on Animagi, and all my notes are in my head. Haven’t you learnt that by now?” Lissa smiled at Logan. “But, if you’re willing to do anything… I may be able to write up what I know.” 

"Oh, it was still Animagi? Perfect." Logan breathed a sigh of relief, nodding. He had thought they'd moved onto something new, but Animagi were something he felt pretty confident on. "Although I'm now a little curious what you're about to ask me to do." He laughed.

"Thank you." He smiled, feeling a bit better about it all. He'd been feeling a little lost lately - everyone else seemed to know what they wanted to do after school. "I'm not certain yet, but I was thinking maybe The Wizard's Voice."

“Hmm? Oh, um....” He trailed off, figuring there was only one sure way to answer her question. Logan took a sip, nodding and licking his lips as he swallowed. “Yes, yes that’s definitely spiked.” He coughed once, laughing and putting it back down. He took some straight from the ornate fountain it was spilling from, which tasted much better. “Ah, here - safe, I promise.”
