In some parts of Madagascar, the most common woodlice you find are covered in these crazy spines! I find them absolutely charming.

i think bugs r so cutes . what if a animal was so so smalls little tiny . especially the real real teeny ones. aphids and spingtails and such. the stem of a leaf is wider than it is long .. .....
hello i am soft bodied spingtail i am 4 milimeters long and have about 8 neurons and i am doing my best with what i have ..!
Springtails, officially known as Collembola, are a small and incredibly common invertebrate and a big part of the soil mesofauna, worldwide.
found this great article while scrounging for springtail pictures

Excuse the bad quality pics but I was watching my pods this evening and noticed a white one!!! I haven't added any new guys into this tank in about three years so it will be interesting to see if this is a one off!
(Mixed tank because when I moved into my house I'd find the odd one that had gotten through the floorboards and decided to just pop them into their own home)
Ooooh that's very cool, thank you for showing me!! :]
Some very cute pods, very beautiful :]

shoutout to Pants, the most special isopod I ever produced. lived a long life years ago but hey I figured some people may find it neat. It popped up in a "punta cana" armadillidium mix and had this 50/50 coloration its whole life.
