so since i created Katherine about a five years ago, in the fanfic i was writing then, Katherine lost her powers, more so like they used a “cure” on her - she was a subject to these anti mutant rehabilitation people who wanted to cure what they thought needed to be cured , their serum only worked for a few and it resulted in Katherine body going into many different stages she became very ill without her mutation. she was very pale, the color from her lips faded, she was always heated and sweating profusely, vomiting, spitting blood , nose bleeds etc, she was always hot - it was such a drastic change her body didn’t know how to react causing her to be the way she was. She was close to death.
