The Phantom of the Opera-1925
The Unholy Three (1930)
He Who Gets Slapped, directed by Victor Sjöström in 1924
“Beneath your dancing feet are the tombs of tortured men - Thus does the Red Death rebuke your merriment!” The original 1925 release of The Phantom of the Opera contained 17 minutes of Technicolor footage (plus a stenciled color insert). Only the Bal Masque sequence survives intact.

He Who Gets Slapped (1924)
Lon Chaney was known as " The Man Of A Thousand Faces" because of his penchant for portraying masked or deformed characters, characters who were nonetheless discernibly human. He was an unusually sensitive mime, an ability often attributed to the fact that his parents were deaf mutes and he had to mime his stories and concerns to them.
Happy Birthday Lon Chaney!
