I finally finished these drunk sketches I did on Valentine's Day 😂 I had to edit the scans on my phone cuz I'm on a trip so please ignore the bloopers. My art is messy af
Just some basic re-draws. I'm trying to get a feel on how to draw them. Cartoons don't translate into my "style" so I never know quite know how to draw them.
I kinda liked these and wanted to test out new markers so so here we are, lol

This is my goal for the year. I feel embarrassed sharing my crappy sketches but I need to get over feeling embarrassed and need to get empowered instead! It doesn't matter if they're not perfect.
I'm literally alone (like, my family left the house) on Valentine's Day so I got a little tipsy and drew some of my fav scenes from the BJ musical, cuz GOD I love them so much, sorry if I got the quotes wrong
I ship it but this can be interpreted as platonic or otherwise, I'm just tagging it as beetlebabes so I won't get a bunch of anti shoppers accidentally following me, if that makes sense
I genuinely just want to get along with everyone so this way if people hate this ship they won't follow my blog by accident
Also I SWEAR I will upload completed artwork some day, so far I've only uploaded sketches. It's sad that getting drunk is the only thing that gave me confidence to draw these. There's already so much better musical fan art than mine,but I still tried.
I swear I'll add a bit of color. Also sorry it's just BJ and Lyds, love the other charactere but idk how to draw them. Feel free to make a suggestion for the corner doodle (that was a failed attempt at Lydia and the Maitlands looking at the book)

Beetlejuice the musical came touring here, I saw it 3 times (cuz you gotta have it in 3s, duh) and sat in the front row. Expensive but worth it, since my opportunities to see Broadway tours are few and far in between.
Went the first time with my friend (who saw it when it first opened on Broadway) and the other 2 with my fam! I HAD THE TIME OF MY LIFE OK. The cast is great, my cousin's friend was also in it and this was his last stop. He was a background character, still super cool
Here's some pics, I made the bow and bought the beetle pin at the show, the streamers had landed on me at the end of the show and I kept them as a souvenir 😂

I managed to get everyone's autograph except for the man himself (Justin Collette, the current Beetlejuice, he is fantastic btw) and the Maitlands actors. I'm super bummed about it but just really happy and thankful I got to see the show at all! I got Lydia's autograph so I'm super happy with that!
It was really interesting seeing the small differences each time. The third time was the best, BJ did the "why does everyone keep leaving me! AHHHHH-" then screamed for a whole minute 😂 Glad I got to see that in person (seen clips online), there was also a bit more affection between Beej and Lydia the third time, which I love
Now I'm having a bit (ok, a lot) of depression cuz there were months of anticipation and buildup for this, and it was my one big social event of the year, and now it's over. I have a huge empty Beetlejuice shaped hole in my heart already! It wouldn't be so bad if it weren't combined with the fact my life is so shit right now, and all I have to look forward to is 4 years of insanity of the Orange Man as prezzie til I'm literally 40
I tried to make this blog only my art, so sorry for sharing a bit of my feels and personal life, it is technically Beetlejuice related! I just had to talk about it and process it a bit. I'm not gonna tag it as Beetlejuice the musical and stuff cuz I don't want a bunch of antis seeing my page since it's mostly (small tho it may be) beetlebabes stuff
Sorry if you followed me and then I never posted again. I really want to. I'm really deep into another project and that's the only reason I haven't finished these sketches or posted more.

Here's another sketch that I HOPE I can finish/color soon! (Yes it has flaws I plan to fix when I continue it) I couldn't decide where I want BJ's other hand yet 😂😭 for legal reasons (lol jk...ish) Lydia is 18+
I might delete this, it was my first time drawing them, it's not that good but I like the concept. 18+ Lydia, and Beetlejuice noticing, lol. I keep meaning to ink/fix and color this but I've been busy
Idk why I gave her the ponytail, I regret that decision lol
P.S. I love how Beetlejuice is dead but he can still canonically blush.... Logic, y'know I hate it
I wanted to make this with my own drawings but I'm already working on 2 other projects so I used clips from the show, I think it came out pretty cute. I know the song is overused, but I just kept thinking about it...
