12:23 am.
[Ruggie wakes up in a cold sweat, feeling sick to his stomach. He doesn’t know what it is immediately, but he knows it isn’t good if it makes him wake up so quickly. He then feels the bile rush up through his body, so he clamped his mouth shut and held one hand over it as he ran to the dorm’s bathrooms.]
[He almost misses the toilet by about five inches as he hunches over it and releases his hand, the vomit rushing out and into the toilet as he practically pinned himself over it. It went on for a while before it eventually stopped, a small bit of it still dripping off his lip.]
“…holy hell.”
[he then passed out against the floor.]
Ooc: this seems like something that would wake up his roommate :3 (I hope you don’t mind)
Ailey, I mean Ailey
*she sat upright in bed, hearing Ruggie’s footsteps patter down the hall, the door swinging on its hinges where he’d left it open. She pulled the covers back and slipped out of bed, worry tingling at the back of her brain as she padded into the hallway*
Ruggie?
*her voice echoed slightly in the darkness, the freckles dusting her cheeks and arms lighting up with bioluminescence*
Ruggieeee? Where are you? Is everything ok?
[Ruggie didn’t reply. Not like he could, he was passed out. He wasn’t even able to flush before he stumbled and hit the ground, but the thud did alert Ailey on where he was at.]
*her head shot up at the noise, her pace quickening as she hurried towards the bathrooms*
Ruggie?!
*she swung the stall door open*
Ruggie! What the fuck! Are you ok?!
*she crouched down next to him, checking his pulse with her fingers, sighing in relief when she felt his heartbeat*
Ruggie, hey, wake up
*she shook him, hoping he’d wake up before she had to do anything medical*
Ooc: she cusses like a sailor, cause she’s a sailor
[Again, he didn’t reply. Damn, he was out cold.]
(Mod): I am smirking like an evil villain when everything is falling into my plan as this goes on
Ooc: hehe, time to flex my very limited medical knowledge

*she glanced around, noticing the vomit in the toilet and making a quick decision. Ailey carefully manoeuvred him onto his back, opening his mouth to check his airway, making sure he hadn’t aspirated any vomit. Sighing in relief when she felt air brush pass her face*
Ok, ok, next step… um… he fell over, head injury? And call Leona, he’ll hate me for it, but he’ll know what to do…
*she went to check his hair for any blood or other signs of injury, before remembering:*
Fucking hell I left my phone in the room…

The team did pretty good though, got through them with minimal complaining and quite a bit of improvement

I love him, I swear, but he never pays attention 😭
Ah well, at least I gave Jamil a break and I got to hang out with my friend and brother (Silver was there too)
Anyway, I’m tired… can we cuddle and watch tv? Cater told me about something called “Survivor” and I don’t know what that is but he seemed really into it. You can find that right? I’m really curious.

The funny thing is, I can’t really swim, not well anyways
But I don’t think I could go swimming in the ocean anyway… not after what happened, I already struggle with just getting on boats with other people
So I’d have to say fishing, it reminds me of my dad, it’s bittersweet, but I feel him there whenever I use the skills he taught me
Ooc: sorry this is kinda depressing lol, the ocean is a tricky topic for her, also fun fact, which you may already know, idk, old timey sailors almost never knew how to swim, I think I have a ooc note on a different post explaining her relationship with swimming

As for the reason I was looking for you, I was talking to Jack earlier about work out routines and he mentioned that he swims to increase his stamina which helps him with running. And as we both know well, I am not the greatest runner.

Anyway, it got me thinking, I spend a lot of time on the water, but not a lot of time in it, I was hoping you would teach me some stuff…?
Ooc: Possibly true fun fact (don’t quote me on this): A lot of sailors, especially in olden times, could not swim, so I headcanon, despite the fact that her dad is a fisherman, that he never learned to swim and therefore couldn’t teach her. She got a few lessons from her mom (who is half mer) when she was younger but after her siblings were born she was too busy so Ailey spent most of her time with her dad (or taking care of said siblings). All this to say, despite being a quarter mer, her swimming is not great (enough to survive falling in the ocean, but not much else).

I had a horrendous dream last night. I dreamt that I had to collect baba's ashes from a morgue and I had to break the news to my mother. The event never played out this way, but it felt worse somehow.
