Eris Update: So, I seen a post a long time ago about someone changing their Sole’s hair and eye color to sort of show affects from the Cryo and I really liked that so that’s what i’ve done here. I took a step further thought and added the vitiligo patches to add on to the idea of Cryo messing with something. Also, Eris has gotten beat up a bit by various commonwealth baddies, got some dark circles going on from always having to do some mission for Preston. This is obviously after I’ve taken over the Castle, but before I’ve gone after Kellogg. During major events Eris will have something about her appearance altered. (Also it is wild what white hair does to a person’s look cause she almost doesn’t even look like the same Eris and I haven’t altered her facial features at all).

Replaying Fallout 4, it’s a comfort game and school is stressful. I’ve decided to give my character a whole little story. So this how she looked pre-vault. I’ve decided to change her appearance slightly after getting out cryo so this was taken before i did that. I’ll show what she looks like when she gets to diamond city, because i added a hair mod so it could look longer. Also, instead of Nora i’ve named her Eris, cause ya know, Greek Goddess of strife and discord. seemed fitting to me.  I’ve never been good at altering the appearance of the prefaces, but i don’t think it looks too bad

What i love about this artist’s depictions of women is even the sexualized ones the woman is always genuinely happy and enjoying herself. Frolicking or making funny faces, she’s living her life and looking sexy while doing it, not sitting in a sexual pose for the audience’s view.

can we do away with the narrative that ted bundy was this charismatic mastermind?

people who knew him growing up said he never fit in, was socially disconnected and weird, and constantly tried to frame himself as better than he was.

he wasn’t constantly wooing women—he had few girlfriends and one his victims who survived his attack literally described him as creepy. his college sweetheart dumped him for being pathetic, directionless, and insecure. the women who wrote him love letters had clear issues with men and were warped into finding “bad boys” attractive.

his victims were not won over by his charm—he either broke into their homes at night, attacked them when they were alone, targeted children, or played the part of a cop or man with a broken arm in need of help loading something into his car. he used violence and subterfuge, not charm, to hurt women and girls.

one of his lawyers described him as unpleasant and blatantly self obsessed. if you listen to his interviews, he sounds blatantly fake, like someone trying too hard to seem intelligent, normal, and likable. it’s a facade and not even a good one.

the media created the image of a charming man because he was a white, average looking, conservative dude and that automatically put him in a positive light in their eyes.

i’ve noticed recently that the majority of the people who met him and say that he was “charming/good-looking/funny/a genius” are MEN. almost every woman who actually encountered him and lived (aside from the small handful he and the media managed to brainwash into liking him) said that he was arrogant, disgusting, and not at all likable. it’s almost as if ted bundy was just an average woman hating hardcore republican and white men who met him connected with him in the way that they were all the same. bundy was just the one who actually ended up getting so angry at women (especially young women with agency and young girls) that he ended up acting on shit they’d all felt: violence connected with a sexual desire to hurt, maime, abuse, brutalize, to tear us apart until we became pliable. that’s why you see videos of him laughing and joking with the judge (who was a rich old white man) and other lawmen in the courtroom. that’s why men pretend to be mystified by him. that’s why men think he was some sort of innovating genius. he wasn’t. he was just a narcissistic misogynist. women didn’t fall for his shit. men did. and that’s how he kept getting away with it until he didn’t. that’s how he escaped prison twice. that’s how his girlfriend’s cries for help were ignored. that’s how movies that treat him like a dark comic are made. by men.

I’m slightly hesitant to do Grace because I know some people hate her, but I love her and I think you’re suited because you have some pretty similar qualities. Introverted? Check. She loves your dry humor and shares it a bit herself. Loves that you’re good under pressure, since with her, there’s gonna be some tense and dangerous situations. She appreciates your loyalty and when she’s put her blood feud on behalf of her father to rest, she returns that loyalty completely and commits herself to you and your causes with equal fervor. She’s really into music and she can spend hours going through records with you. She’s got a whole list written down of what songs in order, too, it’s a whole experience, the 1920s version of a playlist. She just cares so much. She’s all quiet competency to the outside world, but to you, she’s all devotion. Ride or die, reciprocated.

I also ship you with Arthur. He’s a bit rough around the edges and big on fisticuffs but ultimately he is emotionally very straightforward and he definitely isn’t the sort to go around using his words to hurt. If he’s got a problem he’ll say it straight out and you can get it sorted.  He definitely likes your wit (especially when deployed against his brothers!) and he tries to make you laugh as much as possible. He’s been a city boy all his life but he finds nature restful (thus the home in the country) and he really enjoys it when you teach him about how to take care of your many animals.

imagine if the avengers had actually discussed the plan for more than an hour, and found out from nebula that you have to sacrifice what you love most to get the soul stone (basically a soul for a soul), and steve volunteered himself for the mission. face to face with the red skull, he’s asked if he’s willing to make the sacrifice, to lose what’s important to him. steve replies, “go ahead and try. i’ve already lost everything else.” after its done, steve just laughs and says, “that’s all?”

& steve makes it back alive with the stone. he makes it back to the avengers compound. they don’t recognize him at first, but once they see past the change in structure and size, its obvious. they ask what happened, and he replies “a soul for a soul”. he gave up captain america, let him go once and for all, and that was enough.

this would have been perfect tbh. It’d justify the red skull presence as the guardian of the stone and the whole story would come full circle.

Also can you imagine what a beautiful message it would be? That you don’t need to have super strength to do good and to be a hero and that the most special thing about Steve was his heart and his ethics all along, not the serum. Steve realizing that he is good enough even without the super soldier serum and still valuable to the Avengers and appreciated by his friends.

In the next movies he would be operating just as Steve Rogers, a commander and strategist for missions, sending the teams to execute the plans he masterfully elaborates. Or he could retire too, become the artist he always wanted, adapting again as he always did so many times before and moving on. A message about the value of a found family, perseverance, never giving up and fighting to change what you can but making the best of what you can’t. That’s life and everybody would be able to relate to it
