ššHappy Earth DayššHave you started your #plasticswearjarchallenge ??? Letās become more aware of our single use plastics and the effects they have on our ocean environments. Everywhere we go on our sailing adventure is littered with plastic!!! Birds, fish, coral and the filter feeding whales are all effected!!! #togetherwearebetter so please do your part to help reduce our plastic waste. š·@moondogmacy Tonga 2017 (at Mother Earth)

Overfishing can deplete key reef species and damage coral habitats. The coral reef fish are a significant food source for over a billion people worldwide BUT too much of a good thing can be bad for our reefs. Itās not just the small species but of all sizes. If we keep taking the older fish too there wonāt be anything to keep reproducing the young. It is scary to see this first hand on every island we explore. When we are diving we see a huge difference between populated communities and their reefs. The fish just arenāt there š Because of this they are fishing surrounding islands, how long can this go on? Pelagic(Tuna, Mahi mahi, Marlin) fishing is a whole other subject that really effects the rest of the world. Do your part to understand where your fish are coming from! #overfishing #climatechangenow #saveouroceans
Hundreds of little yellow fish hang out in the shore break. Itās mesmerizing to watch these little guys dance in the swell. #goprohero5 #telesindome
Watch out for the tough locals š¤
Liz Clark is such an inspiration. She has spent 12 years on her sailboat traveling and experiencing life first hand mostly by herself. This podcast is about environmental issues, following your passions, and finding strength where you didnāt know you had it. This fully resonates with me and our sailing adventure, I hope you enjoy it too. Love you sea sister! @captainlizclark
