Drew was hiding in a tree all afternoon, drinking from his flask and people watching the whole time. When he saw someone about to walk directly under the branch he was under, he decided to have a little fun. He leaned back from the branch, hanging as if he was a kid on a jungle gym. “Don’t mind me,” He said, upside down. “I’m just hanging out.” He laughed at himself. “Get it? I’m hanging out.”

Loretta jumped back, a shriek escaping her lips. All of her books tumbling from her hands straight to the floor. Red filled her face and she rushed to retrieve her precious books before any of the pages could be bent or ripped. “Yes. I see. That must have been a joke.” The princess snapped.

He hadn’t talked with the youngest of the Bête family very often and wasn’t exactly planning on doing so, still he tried to stay nice and friendly every time he bumped into Loretta. “Yes, but I can always walk around you.” He said while stepping aside.
