I was messing with CSS on AO3 and found a way to make it a little more time consuming for others to steal fanfics (they will be unable to copy/paste)

go to Skins > My Work Skins > Create Work Skin and paste this code inside the CSS section:

user-select: none;

}

choose one of your fanfics to use as sacrifice, edit a chapter, select the work skin you just created, click on the HTML button and paste this small code before any text:

you'll also need to add this at the very end of your chapter: </div>

... and it should look something like this:

then just click on the preview button and check if it worked before publishing
