If youâve ever truly loved someone, youâve heard it said, âlove isnât easyâ. But my question for you is, what in life is? Whatâs so easy about trying to work 40 hour weeks so that you can afford to live while you pay off debt. Whatâs so easy about growing old and watching your family pass away and leave you on this earth while you age? Whatâs so easy about getting let down time and time again by people you thought cared about you so much? Whatâs so easy about growing up only to find out being an adult isnât as fun or free as you imagined it would be? What is so damn easy about always saying to yourself âi miss the good old days, when life wasnât so stressfulâ? Whatâs easy about learning what heart break feels like? Whatâs so easy about going through 6 years of elementary school, 3 years of junior high, 4 years of highschool, and 4+ years of college only to end up with no job and a shit ton of loans to pay off? Whatâs so easy about realizing your parents might not be the people you thought they were, the heroâs you looked up to? Whatâs so easy about being born into a life where youâre forced to work in order to survive?
Of course love isnât easy. Nothing is easy. Love is work, sometimes you have to work harder than others, but love is work. Life is work. Nothing in this life is easy, so donât be discouraged when things arenât the way you thought they would be, learn from them, grow from them, and let them fuel you. Love is the most beautiful thing on this planet, but just because it isnât a joyride 24/7 doesnât mean you hop off. You keep pushing, keep working, keep smoothing things out, because nothing in this life is easy, and only you can control you.
