Graham Hodson:
Graham didn’t shy away from her touch; instead, he closed his eyes and leaned into it, grateful for her presence. While it didn’t erase what had happened earlier, it helped comfort him. He knew she was right. If he kept what had happened in, he’d be fine for now, but eventually it would become too much and he’d have some sort of breakdown, worse than what he was having at the moment. Amelia was someone he could talk to and trust and he planned on doing so, but right now he just wanted to relax. Seeing her outstretched hand he took it, allowing her to pull him off of the couch and towards the bedroom. Any other time he’d make some smart ass comment in regards to them heading there, but right now he didn’t have the energy for it. He could hear Loki’s claws on the hardwood floor as the doberman followed the two to the bed, making sure he found a spot at the foot of it without getting in the way of Graham and Amelia. “I can think of nothing better than getting to cuddle with you after a shit day. C’mon.” Graham pulled her onto the bed, not even bothering to turn on the light. Instead, he allowed the faint glow of the television mounted on his wall to illuminate the three. “Why don’t you tell me about your day and then I can tell you about mine?”
On a normal night, Graham would make a comment about them moving things to the bedroom, one that usually caused Amelia to roll her eyes at him, but he didn’t make one tonight and that gave her more reason to believe that whatever it was that caused him to bury his face under the pillow on his couch was a heavy matter. It was for that reason that she decided not to force him to talk about it and to wait for him to do so on his own instead. Upon entering his room, she let go of his hand just long enough so she can give Loki a belly rub. Standing up afterwards, Graham pulled her into bed with him and she let him. “I don’t know how you survived five years without cuddling with me.”, she joked, hoping to lighten the mood a little. She rested her hand on his chest then and looked up at him, the light from the television enough to make her see the look on his face. “Well, it was a long one. I had to work overtime for the case that I mentioned to you the other night, the one I’m losing sleep over, and in the middle of preparing for it, my boss came into my office and told me to take over a high-profile case. I usually have no problem with that but the client is a sleaze. I didn’t bother hiding my opinion about him or the matter so a long argument ensued.”, she explained, the frustration she felt about the entire situation reflected in her voice. “I ended up winning the argument but still, I’m really exhausted. Being here with you was the most relaxed I’ve been so I owe you a thank you as well.”
Graham Hodson:
All it took to lift his spirits was to have her near. He made sure she could see his face, it no longer being hidden by the couch pillows. Although the emotional toll from the day was still present, it felt better to have the blonde by his side. Before saying anything, he reached for Amelia’s hand and placed a gentle kiss on the back of her palm. “How about we avoid that question for now? Enjoy the silence and the presence of one another.” Graham said with a weak smile, pulling the woman kneeling in front of him closer. The day and week that he had lay heavy, especially with the news he had received earlier from his parents when he had been at the hospital. Today felt like a bad dream, one he wished he could wake up from - but the problem was that he had never been sleeping and it was all very real. “Thank you for coming over, by the way. I know it’s late and was last minute but…I really did need you tonight.” It was unlike him to admit something like this, but with the recent changes he was going through and the promise of honesty to Amelia had him speaking the truth.
Once he turned to face her, thus letting her see the physical and emotional exhaustion on his face, Amelia reached for his cheek and gently brushed her thumb against it. It wasn’t much but she still hoped it would give him at least a bit of comfort. He wouldn’t be looking at her the way that he was if he didn’t need it after all. Feeling his lips on her free hand, she showed him a smile but his answer took that smile away. “Keeping things to yourself will not do you any good but fine, just for now. Come on, let’s get you to bed.” She leaned forward to give him a kiss on the forehead then stood up, offering him her hand to hold on to as they make their way to the bedroom. She could tell that his dog was following them and that, along with the honesty that Graham surprised her with, brought the smile back to her face. “That doesn’t matter as long as I get to help you. I’m all in, remember?”
Graham Hodson:
It was one of those days where Graham wanted nothing more than to just disappear. When things became too much he shut down, pushing everyone around him away as he tried to navigate through whatever was going on at the moment. Entering his apartment, he set his keys down on the table nearby and gave his doberman a quick pat on the head before heading for the couch. The surgeon didn’t even bother changing out of his clothes as he sunk into the pillows and let out a sigh he didn’t even realize he had been holding in. After a few minutes his phone vibrated in his pocket and although he didn’t want to speak to anyone at the moment, he was curious to see who was trying to contact him this late.
Amelia.
With her name on the screen, he couldn’t help but smile as he quickly typed a response to her. Before he hit send however, he decided to erase what he had and send something else. Moments like these he wanted to be alone, but the thought of having her with him right now…well, that was all he wanted. The comfort of having her in his arms was enough for him to hit send. Thankfully, she seemed to agree to coming over despite how late it was. Perhaps she sensed something was wrong. The man didn’t move from the couch as he waited for her arrival, only knowing she was here once he heard Loki stir from below his feet.
@lostbxtterflies·
Working overtime was a normal part of Amelia’s job. Sometimes, she would do it willingly. Other times, she would have no choice but to do it. Unfortunately, the reason for her being at work so late today was the latter. She was so exhausted that by the time she got home, the first thing she did was relax herself through a bubble bath and a glass of champagne. At some point while doing so, she texted Graham just to fill him in on how late she got home but there was something about the way he replied that made her sure he was having one of those rough nights. It was for that reason she put on a hoodie on top of her pajamas, packed an overnight bag and drove to his apartment this late. She may have been exhausted but that didn’t stop her from wanting to be there for him.
It took her around 20 minutes to reach his apartment door and when she was reached for its handle, she was surprised to see that he left it open. Walking through it and seeing his face buried in the pillows on his couch were all it took for her to make sense of it though. After she stopped to give Loki a gentle rub on his head and on his belly, she waked over to the couch and bent her knees so she’d be at eye level with him.·“I’m here. What’s wrong?”
Trenton Williamson:
trenton sighed and nervously ran his hand down the back of his neck as she spoke to him. he was nervous talking to her. he had never once like disappointing her when they grew up. it hadnt changed after all those years. “i-’ he paused. “i dont know, catch up and talk before i have to head back.” he admitted. “enjoy the party while we are both here.” he suggested to her. “that is good that you stuck to your plan.” he pointed out. “you look great you look like you are doing great” he complimented her still a bit nervous to speak to her after leaving. “just graduating and work..” he went on. “i a art teacher in a local school in my town.” he laughed. “weird right.. who would have thought i would grow up to teach anyone anything…” he shook his head.
“So that’s all that I am to you now, huh? Just someone you’re going to pass by before you go back to your life.” Like that was such a surprise, Harriet stopped believing that she was important to him when six months have passed and he still hasn’t responded to her texts or calls. “I guess I can do that.” After her last relationship ended, she actually has gotten used to things only being temporary. It was sad but it was the only way for her not to get hurt again. “Puberty really did me a favor.”, she joked before moving her hair from the front of her body to the back. “It did the same for you.” That was one of the first things she noticed when he got out of the pool. “I did. I always believed that you are more capable than you think.”
Trenton Williamson:
trenton couldnt have imagined the pain he had put her through. however in his mind he had still made the right choice by leaving this town. when his mother died, it sent the boy on a spiral down. the last thing he wanted to ever do was take her down with him. so he left, he packed and left in the middle of the night. he had moved up north with some distant family is his mothers and tried to fix his life. it took a while but he finished high school and went to college, got a degree and here he was back for the 10th anniversary of his mothers death. “i would rather not ruin the first time i see you in ten years with talking about why i left or where i went..” he admitted. “that is great… i’m glad your life is going great. that was all i ever wanted for you.” he admitted.
Being a teenager who was dealing with her hormones for the first time, Trenton leaving felt like the end of the world for Harriet and if it weren’t for her friends’, she would have spent the rest of her highschool life without a social life. They made her realize that she shouldn’t give her first love that much power, and she grew up with such an eventful social life. The sad part about it is that not everything that happened was a good thing. Her one-year relationship, for example, ended just a few weeks before graduation because she and her boyfriend drifted apart. It took her a while to get over that too but she did. “What would you rather do then?” , she asked the man standing in front of her. ”Thanks. At least one of us is sticking to the plan, right?” She was only when she asked that, the plan that she was referring to was the one that their twelve-year-old selves made. “What have you been up to?”
Trenton Williamson:
trenton knew that harriet wasnt going to be pleased with seeing him. his other friends were ecstatic when he came back they hadnt even pushed why the boy had left in the first place years ago. however trent knew better when it came to her. he owed her a explanation of why he had disappeared, but he wasnt sure what to even tell her that would make sense. making his way over to her was risky, he wasnt sure what kind of life she was living now. was she married? kids? in a relationship? single? it didnt stop him though as he approached her and said hey. “i am alive.. very much so.” he said softly. “how- how are you?” he asked.
It may not have been obvious but Harriet was happy to see him standing in front of her. She spent so much time worrying about where it was and how he was doing after all. What overpowered that happiness is the feeling that he did not care enough about her to give her an update or check up on her. It was frustrating how even after ten years of being apart and not speaking, he still has an influence on her. “So are you going to give me an explanation or are you just going to act like you have nothing to explain?” She raised the red cup in her hand to her lips and took a quick sip before answering his question. “How am I? Let’s see, I graduated a few months ago and was offered a job at a PR firm. Life has been great.”
Trenton Williamson:
@lostbxtterflies·
the disappearance of trenton was a big one for the kids ten years ago when the boy had left without a trace. his mother had died in an accident and then trent had went missing. the town had feared the worse when they had never heard anything from the boy. years had passed and school and the town went on without him. that was until now. trenton had been back in town for a a week. running into a few friends he had been invited to their party. agreeing to go the boy had a few drinks and tried to enjoy his night. he took a swim and as he was getting out noticed a familiar face. pulling himself out of the water he grabbed his towel and gave her a small smile. from the looks on her face, he wasnt so sure she was excited to see him .”-hey..” he said softly as if he hadn’t vanished for ten damn years.
Although ten years have passed, Harriet could still remember the day when she woke up to the news that Trenton was gone. At first, she refused to believe it because how could her bestfriend and boyfriend leave without telling her? She thought that he would eventually explain but in the ten years that passed, not once did he call or even send her a text. It was frustrating for her thirteen year old self but, eventually, she got over it and him. Here she was now, back in town after her college graduation and standing face to face with the boy that she made herself forget. “So you can speak... Well, at least I know you’re still alive.”, she said once he was close enough to hear her.
lostxones:
Saying yes had set his nerves on fire. Years had passed since they’d been able to sit and talk with ease. They were different people now. Still, he was looking forward to the evening. Sofia had always been the one that got away. He should have fought for her harder. Soon, he was wearing his best button up and his nicest pair of jeans. With a bottle of wine in one hand and a small bouquet in the other, Benjamin gave the door a clumsy knock. He flashed her a smile when the door opened. “I would never be late,” he chuckled. “Hiya, Sof. You look beautiful.”
There were a few questions in her head, questions that she was unsure if she would get an answer to tonight. That was the problem with being with an ex years after a breakup. You don’t know what to expect anymore. One of the things that kept her mind at ease was the fact that they have grown and, hopefully, they are both more mature now. So maybe, just maybe, the night won’t be so bad. “That was one of my favorite things about you.”, she admitted with a smile. “I spent a long time getting ready so thank you.” Maybe she shouldn’t have said that. “Come in! The dining room is down the hall, to your left. By the way, I like your top. It looks good on you.”
lostxones:
“Is it still your favorite ice cream? Because I can definitely afford that on my own now. I won’t have to borrow money from my parents or anything,” he chuckled. Andrew would never shove her into the spotlight if it wasn’t what she wanted. He did want to talk her into doing vocals on one of his songs though, even if it wasn’t credited. The man furrowed his eyebrows as he followed her up the ladder. “What’s that supposed to mean, Jules?”
“My standards are higher than that. It is my favorite ice cream and a slice of pizza. Hawaiian, thin crust as always. That is definitely impressive.” Julia wished that they could keep that going, that their conversation would stay light but she knew that they had to have that conversation, the more serious one. She tried to delay it a bit by staying silent as she climbed the ladder but once she got inside, she felt the need to talk again. He asked her a question after all. “Just forget about it.” She had a feeling, however, that he won’t.
lostxones:
“I think you are. You just don’t realize it yet.” Eve had been through a lot. Part of it, Austin had put her through but the rest had been at the hands of others. He would do what he could to atone for what pain he’d caused her. “Yeah…we do…but we’ll figure it out together.”
Eve did not say anything to argue with him on that, because she knew that he was right. It just was difficult for her to admit that because of how she saw herself. “Wait. Before you say anything more, I think it’s fair that I put all cards on the table first.” That was something she was nervous about doing and it showed on her face.

Open to females. Age: 32 onwards only please!
This was crazy. Highkey insane. Totally wild. And despite these warnings sounding off loudly inside his head it still didn’t stop the usually rational Philip from blurting out the following words. “Will you marry me?” OH DEAR GOD, WHAT HAD HE DONE? Still down on that one bended knee, he then had no choice but to take out the exquisite diamond ring he had purchased several weeks ago to propose to his real girlfriend. And the other horrifying part about this current situation he had so irrationally down out of pure impulse and being strangely affected by the expression on the other’s face moments earlier when her family was constantly and unthinkingly making jokes about her that they didn’t know or were too ignorant to see, was chipping away at her heart more jaggedly than she was publicly letting on, was that her entire family was witnessing this very unexpected proposal act of his.
For the past two years, Sofia has been lying to her family about being in a relationship with someone so that they would all stop pressuring her to settle down and get married. With her family living in a different country, it was easy for her to get away with that lie. However, Christmas was coming up and after two years of not going home, she had no choice but to do so with her boyfriend. Desperate to keep up the act, she begged one of her closest friends to pretend to be in a relationship with her. Things were going well until her sister jokingly commented that if she would not set her career aside for once in her life, she would lose him and end up being alone for the rest of her life. It was difficult for her to hide how affected she was by that because all her life, she was worried that her workaholic tendencies would lead her to not finding love. As she made eye contact with him across the table, she realized that maybe her sister was right and that maybe it was too late for her. The next thing she knew, he was down on one knee in front of her and she was confused because that was not part of their deal. “You know that I love you,”, she started off so that what she will say next won’t seem too suspicious. “so I am going to give you the chance to reconsider what you’re asking.”
From the minute she got home, Sofia did nothing else but prepare for the dinner that she invited her ex to. She did not know what possessed her to take the risk of inviting Benjamin over and the more time passed, the more she felt like while the food and dining table was almost ready, she was far from being same. How could she be when she had no idea what to talk about over dinner. She decided not to dwell on that, though, and focused her energy on picking out her outfit. The next thing she knew, she was wearing a dress and opening the door for her visitor at exactly 7:30pm. “Some things really don’t change, huh?”, she commented, pertaining to how he still arrived on time. “Good evening, Ben.”

Rhys hates that’s she’s apologizing to him right now. It isn’t her fault. “Hey, don’t apologize. You didn’t do anything wrong. That…Asshole is the one doing this to you. None of this is your fault, okay?” He knows she might not believe him, that she needs to get out of the situation first. “That is absolutely not okay and I am going to worry about you.” His face is serious but concerned. He’s not letting this go. The telepath cracks open his Pepsi. “Ava, yes, the party is great. I assume you did everything with no help from that…” He doesn’t even know what words to use to describe that piece of shit. Rhys wishes he could just deck the fucker, but he knows he’d get his ass beat. “…Worthless mouth-breather.” That’s what he settles on, taking a sip of his Pepsi. “You don’t deserve this, Ava. At all.”
“Maybe not, but I still am sorry that you had to witness that side of him. He is not always like that by the way. He just has the tendency to get angry when he has alcohol in his system.” That was a lie, obviously, but Ava hoped that he did not pick up on that. She did not want him to worry after all, but it seemed too late to stop him from doing just that. “I appreciate the concern, I really do, but please don’t let my problems get in the way of your fun tonight.” Telling by the look on his face, though, she had a feeling that nothing she say will change his mind. “Is this the first party of theirs that you went to? I’m asking because I think this is the first time that I saw you. I did so I am happy you are having a fun time.” She picked up her red cup filled with soda water and took a sip before speaking again. “Really, it’s okay.”
lostxones:
“I’m gonna make you release something with me one day, Jules. Even if it’s something anonymous.” He’d been on the hunt for someone who’d fit in on vocals for part of his songs. Andrew was able to pick up on her tone, causing him to cast her a pointed look. “You want to get something off your chest?” Her back was to him, but he’d known her long enough that he picked up on most of her subtle changes in tones. “Well if it can handle Joaquin and his little gang of friends, surely it can hold the two of us.”
“Are you sure about that? I have a very high talent fee.”. Julia joked. The truth was she missed singing with him and she secretly hoped that they would be able to do that today. As for doing it on a professional level, well, that was a different story. She turned around at the same time he asked that question, and she wished she did not. She was not the type to hide her emotions after all, especially not from him. “I don’t think you're ready to hear what’s on my mind.”, she answered before turning her back on him again and climbing the ladder to the treehouse.
lostxones:
It wouldn’t surprise the man if she didn’t trust him. She’d be smart not to. Austin would never intentionally hurt her but he was a fuck-up. Whether he realized it or not, he had a tendency to sabotage things.·“And you didn’t because I was going out with Tiffany or Stephanie or whatever blonde it was that week?”·
“You ask me that as if I am as brave as them. We both know that I am not.” Eve was trying to change that, though. She wanted her life to change and it seems to her that in order for that to happen, she had to work on her confidence and take more risks.·“We have a lot of figuring out to do, don’t we?”
julietcapulcts:
Well, this wasn’t what Wally had expected when they decided to go out. As of late, he had been a homebody. Not really wanting to leave the security (and safety) of the four walls he had grown so used to. But his friends suggested that he get out and at least try and live life once again. So, that’s what he was doing. Attempting, trying, doing what was in their best interest. Wally, however, did go over all the potential scenarios in his head long enough because one scenario he didn’t even dream of being involved in happened. There standing before him was none other than Eve Baxter. Wally knew just by the quick glance he got. her memory was engrained deeply within his subconscious. He could never forget that face. It had been years since they had last spoken. Their last conversation being one that was anything but a pleasant one. A million thoughts raced through his head as he stared at her. Did he ignore her? No that was rude? Did he leave the bar? Well, surely she saw him. It’s not that Wally didn’t want to see Eve….he just wasn’t exactly prepared to see her again - not like this at least. It was clear that he had seen him and vice versa so there was no use just sitting there pondering the what-ifs of the situation. So, although his legs felt heavy and moved slowly like molasses, Wally made his way to Eve. His thoughts racing, trying to mesh together some pathetic excuse to sentences as he approached her. “Hi, long time no see,” he said softly, hands deep within their pockets. ( @lostbxtterflies· )
It was the last day of her exams and as part of tradition, Eve was in a bar with her friends to celebrate their temporary freedom. A lot has changed about her in the past three years. It took her a while, but she gained confidence in herself and took more risks. It was funny how exactly two years ago, she found out it nerve-wrecking to enter the bar in an outfit that was too daring for her but now, she was used to it. However, as she looked around for her friends, she made eye contact with the one person that was capable of turning what she was used to and enjoyed into a nightmare. It had been two years, maybe even three, since she last spoke to Wally and although she could not remember what exactly they said during that conversation, she did remember that it was not the best way to end their relationship. Despite that, she planned on ignoring him for the rest of the night. However, he approached her before she could turn her back on him. Although it was difficult for her, she tried to act like she was not surprised or nervous. “You took the words right out of my mouth. You also look like you need a drink so what’s your poison?”
