Apparently, the bloody carriage had been robbed not too far from the docks, the bracelet she needed to steal taken with the rest, and Emma was honestly pissed off. She had been planning for nothing but she was going to leave that place with it. So of course she tracked them back, pirates, apparently, and went straight to the captain’s quarters after they had gone out to drink, probably to celebrate. She had just gotten hand on the bracelet when she felt a blade on her back and, ignoring the fact that she would get sliced open if she wasn’t careful, she spun around to kick the pirate back before he could even demand her explanations. “Sorry, but I’m not…” she trailed off, dagger up in one hand, “Well… aren’t you a thing of beauty. Look, I’m in pain at the idea of accidentally ripping your face open, so how about you step back?”
After ransacking the carriage by the docks, along with a few others— the Captain and his crew bellows with sickening laughter and growls, adrenaline and hunger driving their sea legs. Hook ordered Smee, Bootstrap Bill, and Will Rouge to take most of the haul back to the ship and hide it as per usual. Just because they stole from others didn’t mean other’s wouldn’t steal from them.
Turning on his heal he and the rest of the men headed for the pub. They spent a few hours, and some stolen goods to pay for their swimming livers. The Captain himself, still kept a few things he’d stolen today that he liked personally. He did that now and again, kept certain findings in a collection for various reasons.
Once they all were back at the ship they seemed to disperse— off to their bunks, or to drink below deck, play music, the like. Hook, high-functioning alcoholic that he was, managed to saunter his way to his cabin, choosing to be his own company— well with a bottle of rum he still hasn’t finished. The handle of the bottle draped over his hook hand. His evening took an unexpected turn, however, when he noticed the thief with their little hands on his bracelet. Something he had decided to try to send to someone rather important. That was not about to be lifted by some petty thief. He drew his sword with his free hand and immediately held it to the stranger’s back. When she turned and kicked— his sword wobbled and he stumbled back, but kept grip. Blocking the door, he held the sword with anticipation that she’d strike again. Hook opened his mouth to speak, but forget-me-not hues stared with an inkling of confusion, “—Well yes I am devilishly handsome, and I would prefer to remain that way. And honestly, it’d be a shame to gut you in my cabin. You’d stain my floor and Smee would have to clean it.
Now do you want to settle this civilly, or with bloodshed?”
“I can be civil... I can also go for a bloodshed but only if you start it,” Emma commented, drawing her own sword while letting the bracelet slip around the blade of her dagger, “I was about to rob that stupid carriage when your men showed up and I want this. Pretty sure the flowers in it fit around my wrist more than around yours..”
She leaned back against the desk, watching him curiously. It was dark, but she could easily see his face, his sword, the hook that at first glance appeared to be replacing his hand. She was positive she had never seen him before, too, though the name Smee sounded familiar. “So what are we going to do, Captain Beauty? Kill each other over flowery things? Finish that bottle you’re holding while we discuss this?”
