My name is unimportant but you can call me Red. I'm in my early twenties and my birthday is Feb. 28. I live in the US. Can't create anything worth a crap, so I'll probably be reblogging most of the time and it will be anything and everything I like. I've recently become obsessed with Avatar: The Last Airbender (Aang/Katara all the way!), Fullmetal Alchemist (EdWin and RoyxRiza), and Legend of Korra and will be posting a lot of things relating to all of those. Luckily it is starting to slow down and I'll be back to posting anything and everything. Harry Potter is my life. I love reading the books and watching the movies. Harmony is my OTP and I like Dan/Emma. I accept the fact that people may ship differently but don't bash mine just because you don't agree with me. A Proud Hufflepuff!! But was sorted into Slytherin on Pottermore, surprisingly. I'm still a loyal Puff but I'm happy being a snake too. :D I follow a lot of shows religiously. LoK, Bones (Booth/Brennan, Hodgins/Angela), Fringe (Peter/Olivia), Glee, OUAT (Snow/Charming), Raising Hope (Jimmy/Sabrina), and Walking Dead are just a few. HUFFLEPUFF

Don't mind me just imagining a modern PH AU where Cecelia exists before Lauki meet and while she's staying over at her fav Auntie Ren's place for <reasons> she plays wingwoman because Auntie Ren's neighbour is soooooo handsome and a perfect match for a workaholic like you or at least that's what her mom keeps telling her aunt so-
And ofc it's because Kym may or may not have put her daughter to it
And Will may or may not be less horrified at having their five year old daughter play cupid and more intrigued to find out if Kym's training would even work (well tbh just how well it would work actually)
Kieran has learned to keep his distance from people, his loneliness is not just forced by the Scythe, it is a conscious choice. He is not threatened, like Bella, with losing those he loves, because he has already lost them, literally watched them die. Loneliness is sad, but much less painful and much safer.
And then, when he dares to open his heart to someone again, to fall in love the way normal people do, because being able to express your feelings is one of the most basic human needs, he must go through the same terrifying path he has experienced once before.
I don't know what Kieran sees, but I notice the circles under his eyes and how pale he is and how exhausted he looks and how much horror there is in his gaze and I feel so sorry for him.
"Hey, Kieran, where are you going?" Lauren asks, and what she means is: Don't go away. No matter how much you think you don't belong here, how much you're unwelcome and unwanted, stay. No matter how much you think you deserve it, I'm not letting you walk away alone into the dark.
remember how lauki was giving married couple vibes in ep 134? i went absolutely nuts when i saw this panel. the way Kieran is holding Lauren with his arm around her waist ??? also notice how he isn't wearing a coat... boy RAN to the hospital to be there for his girl
I fell in love with the idea of the girl's dad Kieran.
Lauren will be an amazing mom, but he will adore his daughter from the very beginning and never stop. He will always try to give her all the love he lost as a child, or never had.
I really need a scene where Kieran stands next to a pale and exhausted but happy Lauren, holding their daughter in his arms for the first time, and it slowly dawns on him that the number of people who will be dearer to him than his own life has just increased by one. :)
There's a scene, right at the beginning of s2, where Kieran shows Lauren the sketches he drew of the participants in the Camelia meeting. Lauren is quite impressed, but she also remembers the drawings she saw in Kieran's apartment. And then she reaches out to Kieran, close enough to whisper in his ear what happened back then during Sake's interrogation.
Not even a few days after she told him she would shoot him if he ever came near her again.
It might seem like Lauren forgave Kieran after Ep 43 too quickly, but she's already had a chance to see Kieran's human side, she remembers not only his drawings, she knows he saved her life, he also treated her injuries, she has her suspicions about the meaning of the hyacinths that Kieran places next to his victims, although he never confirms it in words. She's aware of his aversion to killing.
There are a number of things she already knows about him that won't just go away even though he hurt her. Even though it seems like their argument in the cave buried everything that happened between them before, that's not true.
In fact, they have a lot to build on and they're both trying very hard to do so.
Lauren analyzes and accepts all of Kieran's patient steps towards her, as well as his little lies and truths that reveal his true self, and based on them all, she slowly lets Kieran closer.
She can even see with her own eyes the consequences of mere sluggishness in completing a task, and yet, it is only during the events at the factory, when he saves the lives of her friends, that Kieran gains Lauren's complete trust.
Only then does he become someone she trusts enough to ask him to stay with her, even if it means that neither of them will survive.
By then, a whole month had passed since their argument in December, filled with many events and genuine efforts to make amends. That's not such a short time.
Thank you very much @lebonheurdelafleurcueillie for the interesting suggestions on this topic :)
S2 Kieran was so not looking forward to working as a spy and facing Lauren's wrath aka the consequences of his own actions, but he still was happy to meet Lauren's friends and coworkers because they're all nice PLEASEEEEEE
How many times has Kieran been lying on the cold floor, a dropped, bloody thing, like a puppet whose strings have been snapped, and thought "you didn't have to leave me alive" and how many times has he thought this was really the end, that whoever beat and tortured him really didn't estimate his ability to survive, how many times has he wished it were true. But somehow he always got up and kept going.
The Kieran that Lauren meets is actually much more broken and desperate than his confident smiles and ostentatious nonchalance would suggest. He just knows how to play his roles very well. That broken part, full of sharp and hurtful shards, shows itself in ep 43 and it's not a pretty sight.
When Lauren takes him back, when she shakes his hand again and when she smiles at him again, it's like a lifeline, an impulse that gives his life new meaning and that keeps him above the abyss. But he can't just erase all those years before. It's not that easy, or that fast.
I know we'll see Kieran broken and down again. Maybe when he finds out Lauren was kidnapped, maybe when she's safe again, but it will come.
I love their mutual effort to reassure each other that their decisions were the right ones. No matter how difficult, or under what conditions, or what the consequences were. They bring each other peace and security, like a lifeline they can grab onto.
Before Lauren’s kidnapping, Lauki were so close to becoming something more. Their interactions in the latter half of S3 clearly carry romantic undertones. After Kym is poisoned, we really start to see Lauki grow closer. Kieran becomes more vulnerable, opening up about his past, while Lauren is constantly there to help and comfort him. She’s genuinely interested in understanding him and what he’s been through. You can also see that she’s increasingly affected by his affections, like when he visits her in the hospital and has his arm around her, or when he congratulates her after she gets her detective badge back.
After episode 142, when Lauren renews their partnership, Kieran becomes even more open with her. He admits she’s his weakness in episode 151 (this scene is actually INSANE, he basically confesses) and gently touches her cheek — a quiet, but powerful way of telling her how much she means to him, and how terrified he is of losing her. Lauren doesn't really think about the cheek caress and what it could mean, but I am sure she's actively trying to push those kind of thoughts away. She won't reflect on her feelings for Kieran as long as she doesn't accept Dylan's death.
And then Kieran's worst fear comes true: Lauren is taken by the PS.
Now, with the kidnapping, I feel like once Lauren is safe we’ll have to wade through a lot of angst and trauma before Lauki can finally enter their romance era. Kieran’s guilt and self-loathing will be even worse, and Lauren will carry her own emotional burden, especially if she’s used as leverage to force Kieran to kill again (which feels inevitable). Kieran won’t let himself act on his feelings; he doesn't believe he deserves to be with her. I just think he's going to do whatever he can to protect Lauren. Meanwhile, Lauren might have to truly confront what it means to love Kieran and be with him. He’s still the Purple Hyacinth. After the events of Redcliff's ball they might become fugitives if their identities as Lune end up being compromised. Lauren will have to leave her family and friends behind. Even if they manage to take down the PS in the end, what happens next? What happens to him?
Those are questions Lauren will need to face. I believe that she’ll choose to stand by Kieran no matter what, and that he’ll eventually realize he deserves love and deserves to be with her, but it’s going to take time. They’ll try to fight against their feelings until they just can’t anymore and finally give in. It's going to be so special when they do.
They also need to open up fully about their pasts and Dylan. I’m so excited for Lauki’s romance era and all the mutual pining, angst and tension leading up to it.
He could let go of her hand and she could pull away. They're no longer in the factory waiting for the world to explode in a flood of fire, nor will Lauren fall as soon as Kieran leaves her. They wouldn't have to hold hands, but they do, almost the entire time they've been talking.
Their need to touch the other, to feel their warmth, to physically confirm their existence, as if the mere sight were not enough, as if they could make up for what they cannot yet express in words with an excess of physical contact.
