opinion on cardigan:
cardigan was the PERFECT single choice for folklore! it portrays the rest of the album really well, incorporating the beautiful lyrics, the sound of folklore (more quieter and haunting). the lyrics of cardigan are absolutely stunning. also the music video 🙌🙌 is amazingggggg, cardigan just give me the warm feeling of hugs and autumn!

i think this is the perfect opener for folklore! i love the bold first line it’s just like i’m here beaches! it’s one of my favourite track 1s, besides ready for it and welcome to new york. the production and lyrics are amazing, i love her references to different songs. it’s an iconic way to start the album and i feel a lot of people can relate to this song. 
also my folklore cd came!! i’m so happy with it 🥺
