My Prince - Legolas Imagine
Requested by @lilydreygon: If your doing imagines, could I get a Legolas x reader where Legolas saves the reader from orcs or something along those lines? Thank you!
Traveling with the Fellowship was nowhere near easy. We are constantly on the edge, looking around to see if there’s any kind of danger around us. After we left Lothlorien, we split in three boats, me being in the boat with Legolas and Gimli.
Legolas and I smile at each other as Gimli tells us about the gift Galadriel gave him. I grin at the fact that Gimli is so mesmerized by an elf, I thought I would never see that day but here we are. I look at my left and see Aragorn’s boat not far from us. Then I look over my shoulder and see Boromir’s boat a bit behind us.
“Are you tired? I can take over if you want to.” I turn back and ask Legolas. He smiles at me and shakes his head.
“Don’t worry, I’m fine, my love.” I smile back at him and blush a little. Legolas and I entered a relationship a few years ago but he still manages to make me blush. But ever since I get to call him mine, I’m happiest I’ve ever been.
He didn’t want me to join the fellowship because it’s dangerous but I managed to convince him. He knows I’m a great fighter and that I’m capable of protecting myself and others.
After some time I look up and see a breathtaking sight. Two humongous statues. The Argonath.
“They are magnificent, aren’t they?” I hear Legolas’ voice and I just nod, lost for words.
“The dwarves have made more impressive things than this.” Gimli mumbles and I chuckle.
“I don’t exactly believe that Gimli. This is something entirely else.” I reply and he grunts, knowing that I’m right.
Aragorn decided that it’s time for us to reach the shore so right now Legolas and I are pulling our boat to the shore, as Gimli takes our stuff out.
“We’ll stay here for the night, we’ll continue in the morning.” Aragorn says and I walk over to where Gimli put our stuff and seated himself. I see Legolas approaching Aragorn and telling him something, I can see that he’s worried about something.
Gimli is complaining about something as usual but I don’t pay any attention to it. I notice that something is off so I look around and count us. There’s only 7 of us.
“Where’s Frodo? And Boromir?” I stand up and ask. Aragorn’s head shots up and he looks around franticly. He sees Boromir’s shield and closes his eyes for a second.
“I’ll go look for them.” He says and wanders off into the woods. I approach Legolas and put my hand on his arm.
“Is everything alright?” I ask him softly and he sighs.
“I’m not sure.” Is all Legolas says and I lean into him to try and calm him. He wraps his hand around my waist and kisses the top of my head.
Sam, Pippin and Marry also went to look for Frodo even after I told them not to go. But after we turned our backs for three seconds they were gone. Now Gimli, Legolas and I are waiting for all of them to come back. My head is leaning on Legolas’ shoulder but my leg is nervously jumping up and down. And then out of nowhere we hear a horn. Legolas’ jumps up first, me right after him.
“Boromir.” He says and we all gather our weapons as quickly as we can and run into the woods. Gimli, Legolas and I run as fast as we can and we see a horde of Uruk Hai. Legolas starts shooting his arrows as Gimli and I run to meet them with our weapons.
“Y/N be careful!” Legolas yells and I don’t have time to answer him as my sword clashes with the one of Uruk Hai. I notice a movement on my right and I quickly duck, just in time to avoid my head being cut off of my shoulders. In return I kick the orc in the knees and while he stumbles I stab him deep in his abdomen.
Aragorn runs next to me, killing two orcs on his way to Boromir since none of us managed to get through the Uruk Hai.
“If you need help call for us!” I shout. For now our task is to keep the orcs from reaching others.
Somehow Gimli, Legolas and I managed to get separated. We killed many orcs but they are still coming. I swing my sword and cut off a head of another orc when I feel a sting in the back of my thigh. I wince and look behind me to see that an arrow is in my thigh. I take it out while biting my lip and throw it on the side. My eyes land on an orc that has a bow and arrow and I start walking towards him. He fires another arrow but I dodge it and run towards him. I reach him before he was able to shot another arrow. He takes his sword out and we swing our weapons at each other.
Uruk Hai kicks me in the leg that he already wounded and I drop on my knee. I try to cut his legs but this time he was faster and cut my arm deep enough to make me drop my sword. As he takes another swing I roll over just in time for him to miss his shot. I try to reach my sword but he swings again and I roll over again. I try to kick him with my leg that’s not hurt but he catches my leg and begins to drag me. Just as I was about to open my mouth and scream for help the grip on my leg disappeared. I look behind me and see the orc falling on the ground, an arrow sticking out of his head.
I breath a sigh of relief as I see a familiar figure running towards me. I turn around so I’m lying on my back instead on my stomach. I sit up right when Legolas reached me.
“Oh my Valar, Y/N! Are you alright?” His eyes run over my body looking for injuries.
“I-I’m fine.” I stutter and he gives me the look. I know he doesn’t believe me. Legolas puts his arm around my waist and pulls me up.
“Can you walk?” He asks me softly and I nod.
“Where are the others?” I ask him and he looks down, “Aragorn let Frodo go, Sam went after him, Pippin and Merry were taken, Boromir died protecting them. The others are fine.” When I hear that Boromir died my breath hitches in my throat. I have no words, none at all. Legolas takes me to a river to clean my wounds and we are met there with Aragorn and Gimli.
“Y/N! What happened, are you alright? Thank Valar Legolas found you, I thought we lost you too.” Aragorn says sadly but I can see that he’s relieved at the same time.
“I’m alright. Don’t worry about me.” I give him a small smile. Legolas helps me sit on the shore and he cleans my wounds. Aragorn and Gimli are both very happy that I’m alive and they are not taking their eyes off of me, afraid that something will go wrong.
“Thank you.” I whisper looking at Legolas. I feel tears prickling at my eyes for the first time. It only hit me now that I was seconds away from being dead if he hadn’t showed up. Legolas looks up at me and his face drops when he sees my watery eyes. I know that he was quiet the whole time because he was treasuring the moments.
“You have nothing to thank me for.” He says quietly and I put my hand on his cheek.
“You saved my life. Of course I have to thank you.” I smile at him and he sighs.
“I was so scared that I’m going to lose you. You are my life Y/N, if you died my life would be over. I’m always going to protect you and be there for you. Don’t ever thank me for that. For loving you.” He looks into my eyes and I melt. I belong to him, my heart is his. I lean over and capture his lips with mine.
“I love you, more than anything.” I whisper and he smiles. He is everything I need in life, and I know he will always be there to save me. My prince.
