This is a part of short stories I write over my stressful week. I might continue them. I might not. Depends on how much time and ideas I have. For now, enjoy a story of a heartbroken rebel jedi running away from the empire and its sith lords...
What if Obi-Wan joined the siths at the end of the clone wars and left a love behind?
Sith Obi-Wan Kenobi x (female) reader
The silence is sickening. Stormtroopers lay scattered on the ground. Not dead, but knocked out of their dear life for a while. Her heart pounds against her ribcage. Not granting her to relax as she senses a disturbance in the force. Something is coming. She turns around, facing off with a sith.
"Traitor!", comes out of her.
"I was going to say the same thing, Love.", he smirks slightly.
"Don't you call me love, you tried killing all of us. I was threatened by clones to be killed. I barely got out of a blaster fire alive."
His eyes shimmer in a slight orange as the fire around them wips surprisingly calm. As he steps forward her posture gets more defensive. The lightsaber that rested at her hips now in her hands, ready to be switched on and defend herself.
"I am here to talk to you dear. Please, put the saber down. Why so uncivilized? Let us be peaceful for a moment.", he offers. Her posture doesn't loosen, nor does she loosen the grip around her lightsaber. The man sighs slightly, pulling a few metal pieces over to them, placing them between them to make a makeshift table and two seats.
"Let us take a seat."
"You are from the dark side. I do not trust you. Not anymore."
"Ouch, you wound me deeply, love.", the sith takes a few more steps and sits down at the table.
"Sit down. You fought long enough."
"I won't. My fight is not over yet."
He sighs and rests his head on his hand. Looking at her with a lovesick smile and adoration in his eyes. "You are as stubborn as ever."
"I am not stubborn. I am protecting myself from you, the dark side.", he laughs slightly before using the force to pull her closer, seating her on the makeshift metal scrap seat.
"Now, let us talk this out. Like normal people would without advanced technological weapons and a build out sense of the force."
She places the turned off saber onto her lap. "What is there to talk about? You left the order. You stabbed the jedi order in the back to join the sith. Th empire. What is there more to talk about? You chose your side...and I chose mine."
The man sighs slightly, waving his hand slightly. "That, love, is only the perspective of the jedi. I want to know your perspective. There is more inside you than that mantra you just told me more then once. You're not honest with me. Just let your emotions go. There is no order that controls you and your emotions anymore. Come on love. Let go and be honest. When was the last time you truly cried out how you felt?", he hums and looks at her slowly breaking façade.
"You shattered my soul. I was a fool for ever falling for you. I, I never stopped trying to bottle up my emotions afterwards. Feeling is unimportant, if I can't even keep the one I always admired on my side. If you want to so badly hand me over to Darth Sidious or even kill me, just do it. I don't care anymore."
"Well apparently you do care. You wouldn't want me to kill you. Me handing you off to Darth Sidious wouldn't be your favorite cup of tea either, would it?", he folds his hands and leans back. "Or would you enjoy the pain caused by such event? Didn't know you turned out to be a masochist."
Her emotions bubble up. She takes a deep breath to not sound too snappy at what she says next. "Kenobi, what is it you want? Stop this talking around."
"Is that anger or frustration in your voice?", he smirks slightly.
"It is annoyance. Give me an answer to my question! What do you want? You have been trying to chase me through the whole galaxy for at least a decade! You don't just do that for nothing. You never did things without a thought. What is the plan behind it? What is it you want?", she exhales and tries collecting herself again. Trying to feel closer to the force again and not to lose her temper again.
"Is it not obvious? Since the clone wars ended. Since I have left the order to be my true self, I only wanted you. Not a day has passed where I didn't think about you. I left the order for good. There always was a part in me that knew you were going to dislike me for leaving-", "Dislike you? Kenobi, you are one of the nicest men I have met over the span of my life during the clone wars. But we shouldn't look into the past. The clone wars has ended. You chose your path and I am currently choosing mine. There is no future where the both of us can stay by each other's side. We both fight for different causes. You are part of the dark side. A part I have secretly always feared, but couldn't seem to get rid of. So please. Don't give me this crap of trying to be peaceful.", he stands up. Her hand wraps around her saber again. His hands push the table out of his way. The man takes a step forward. Hands resting on her arms rather tightly. Her lightsaber pointed at his stomach.
"You are important to me! I have left the order to be with you and I am sick of hiding my feelings for you wherever I go, even back in the clone wars. I just saw you and wanted you to be mine. There is not a single part inside me that wants to hurt you in such way as you described. I might have already done horrible things but I would never hurt you! Never in my life!", he tries talking sense into her, suddenly he pulls away as tears run down her cheeks.
"Fuck, I grabbed your arms too hard didn't I?", Kenobi curses at himself, not knowing how to fix his mistake.
"You broke my heart when you left, Obi-Wan. It was so hard to keep going everyday as a jedi. I lost my passion. There was only an empty shell trying its best to let as many people survive. You left and you took a piece of me with you, but I can't be with you. I just-", she is interrupted by lips being pressed onto hers. His gloved hands gently wipe her tears away. One hand wandering to the back of her neck. Brushing through her curls. She pulls back, hiccuping back a sob.
"Why?", is whispered against his lips. His eyes softly looking at her in adoration.
"Because you never left my mind."
