yes,I thought it could be a polite/manners/rules thing about the proper way to sit during graduation too but…why do the parents and the kids behind them (who I’m assuming are siblings of the kids graduating) have their hands clasped the same way ? there’s no need for them to pose that way too I mean there are tons of different ways to put your hands when you’re sitting,just seems crazy when they HAVE made note of how flayed Billy stood like Henry

time in stranger things

we already know that space is fucked up in this show, demos opening the walls, UD underground, going to UD through a tree trunk…so if space is that fucked up why wouldn’t time be? I don’t think the clocks were shown to show us that Henry can use telekinesis to move arrows, that point could’ve been made easily with any object but they chose the arrows of clocks specifically. Why? Because he can definitely time travel/do something crazy with time.

Ok this might be a BIG reach but I was thinking of the four ads and

Karen for Tide : she’s a housewife

core four for T-mobile : it has to do with science

nancy for Discover : she’s always the detective “nancy drew” discovering the truth and uncovering the mysteries

ted for Target : now, it would’ve made more sense if his ad was for a sofa. Like I’ve seen him get up from that sofa maybe once in the entire show. But no it was for Target, and I’m pretty sure Karen does all the shopping, not him. So why Target? Maybe we as a fandom underestimated him and he is actually much more deeper and has something to do with the storyline,as in he becomes a bigger target for Vecna or the mf. His ad for target could mean that he would be a bigger target. Remember Nancy’s vision? She saw Holly,karen and ted dead. (I wonder why she didn’t see mike?)

we had so many ads for season 5, karen for Tide, core four for T-Mobile, Nancy for Discover, Ted for Target

Its kinda giving truman show for me/also like the characters are actually playing/faking everything like they’re just acting and marketing brands as if they’re just these characters in some Truman show setting. Isn’t it a bit weird they did that many high quality ads like that? You should all go check them out there might be clues some of you can spot that I can’t, it’s definitely worth looking into !

stranger things at it’s core

not a theory but just realised that st,at its core, was always about the typical good vs bad, but written so much better than any other good vs bad story. the mind flayer (all things bad,mixed into one,that can inhabit people, much like sin/demons in the bible) and the party, (bravery,friendship,courage,love) fighting against it no matter how big it is.

And people like brenner who are selfish and try to use it for war, who are actually just the same as the mind flayer,just as bad and evil as it, maybe hinting to the fact that humans dont even need a giant evil spider made of some unknown substance to infect us,that we are already evil by ourselves. And that some people succumb to the evil (brenner,soldiers) and some people have it forced onto them (billy, infected by the mind flayer) and the people that resist it (el who literally tore it out of her leg).

But it’s also interesting how Henry realised this pattern only once the mf infected him,kinda like saying humans are too dumb to figure it out on their own to fully end the cycle but the mind flayer (a bigger, stronger being) knows the truth.

Plus all the examples of good and bad in different forms : Hopper and Brenner, Max and Angela, Lonnie and Joyce. That giant meat monster from s3 adding more and more people onto it, getting bigger and more evil and more dangerous, trying to suck others into it. Even the UD is basically like hell, beneath hawkins and scary asf. It’s all very biblical in a way,so interesting. God I love this show

mindflayer theory

like..the mf doesnt JUST need vecna,its shown it can inhabit will (other people) too. So it doesnt only need to work through vecna. We saw it SPREAD OUT into the AIR when will coughed it up. So it could find another host, make it kill, make it do stuff it wants. we’re focusing on too little people! Vecna isnt the only host its used, definitely!

MY ULTIMATE LWG/CG THEORY

ok so ik the names lwg/cg have meanings but I don’t think it’ll work for my theory; this theory is pretty El-centric but to me,in my opinion, after hours of pondering, it made the most sense. So here goes :

Brenner has kept El in the lab ever since the Nina project. What she is seeing is just like what Brenner made her see when she relieved her Hawkins lab memories in the rainbow room. None of it is real. Brenner is keeping her inside here so that she can train her mind, and fight Henry/Vecna mentally.

Why? Brenner is doing this so he can see how she’ll fight Henry and thus seeing how she will try to end Henry, and what Brenner can do to stop her because we all know how fascinated Brenner was with Henry (tfs) and how useful someone like Henry is to Brenner. Henry is basically a biological weapon now. Ofc he’ll do anything and everything to find him,SAFE and alive.

And that is why he made El think he died, and why everything from Nina project onwards IS STILL the Nina project. It’s all an illusion, a brain exercise for El and an experiment for Brenner. Everything we’ve seen,every crazy fight, was all fake. To see every different way El would fight/take on Henry with her crew. And thus helping Brenner figure out how to put a stop to it and bring his most valuable asset (Henry) back.

so if Brenner is doing all that to find Henry…where actually IS he? Well I suppose Henry,now Vecna, is still hiding. Planning. Possibly killing..? I think the killings before the Nina Project are real and did happen in real life but the kills after, Brenner faked for Eleven. Vecna is probably killing because the mind flayer is out for blood like it was in tfs,this time it wants more and more humans not tiny animals. I think Vecna is just killing,that’s it. Because Henry’s speech that he gave to El in the rainbow room (which is when the mf was fully controlling him) was about how bad structure/schedules/day to day life is. How stupid and useless it is. And no matter how hard Henry tries to remake a world, structure and schedules etc are still going to exist. So I think the mind flayer just wants total destruction. Nothing to exist anymore. Not a new world. And that’s what Vecna is doing,while fake Vecna that Brenner made for El is making up all this dumb stuff about gates and stuff, making the stakes higher and making it more confusing for El so that she comes out a stronger fighter. But the real mf/Vecna is much more simpler than that.

now going back to birthdaygate. birthdaygate and the banners + the bullies (carlton) graduating with the party when their varsity jackets clearly had a big “86’” slapped on the side (class of 86), I think it’s all just dates /numbers/integers mixed up in Brenner’s code. Making the simulated world messy/all over the place.

this is maybe one of my weaker theories…? But it made the most sense to me so I decided to post it lol.
