“I think it’s obvious. I am the niece of a champion, after all. You know, someone who got in on pure luck and talent, as opposed to being picked because of a rigged competition.”

“What makes you so sure you’ll win. I mean, you can’t even drink a glass of water here without getting a headache, I’d like to see you try to face any of the challenges.”
“I mean, the only reason your school won was because everyone else was either possessed or died, so it’s not like you won on any real merit...”

“Oh my Merlin, you’re Professor McGonagall’s granddaughter! You know, my parents almost named me Minerva, but then they decided they didn’t want to name me after anyone cause Uncle Harry was already going crazy with that. How come you went to Beauxbatons instead of Hogwarts, then? I’d never expect anyone related to McGonagall to not love Hogwarts.”
“I’ll have to let Grams know that!” Lottie exclaimed, a smile on her face. “She’d have loved that. I mean, she thought your family -- some of mine, now, too, I guess -- were some of the craziest people she’d ver met -- but she speaks very fondly of them. Y’know, she’d probably kill me for telling anyone this, and let’s be honest, she could kill me, but she’s got all your birth announcements in a scrapbook. She won’t admit it, but she loves the crap out of your family.”

“Well how about the whole UK then. You could just head on back to France if it’s so much better.”
“And lose the chance to bring the Triwizard Cup back to France with me? Hell no.”

“It’s gone. You’re fine–beautiful as ever.” Lily sat up. “What tweaks you so much about bugs, anyway?”
“So it was a bug! Uh, everything? They’re creepy, crawly, creepiness.” She said, draping an arm over her stomach. “What’s there to like about ‘em?”
rosercd:
“Ooh, definitely! It’ll be a girls’ day out. I adore shopping.” She paused. “Oh, silly me, I completely forgot to introduce myself. I’m Rose. Rose Granger-Weasley.”
“Oh! Grandma talks about your parents all the time. Says they were some of the worst little adventurers she’d ever met. Lottie. Lottie Delacour-McGonagall. Though, I take it you introduce yourself like that a lot. I don’t.”

“Well then, go check in Hogsmeade! You can make a day of it. It’s the most darling little village. There’s this tea shop that’s the cutest place you’ll ever go to, and you can get a Butterbeer at the Three Broomsticks. It’ll be loads of fun! Guaranteed headache cure.”
“Well, I’m not goin’ out there on my own. You’ll have to come.”

“No, no. Just stay still.” Of course it was a bug, but she wasn’t going to scare Lottie. She wasn’t that rude.
Lottie stayed as still as she could, eyes firmly held shut. “Okay. Is it gone? Whatever it is. Please tell me it’s gone.”

“Well perhaps you shouldn’t have come to England at all.”
“We aren’t even in England, so that’s not much ground to stand on.”

“Have you stopped to consider that perhaps our water is clean, and the change is what’s giving you a headache? I’ve been to Paris, and I highly doubt anything there is truly clean.”
“Hmm. Then maybe it’s the company I’m currently keeping.”

“Wait, wait. Stay still, you have something on your face.” Lily was laying in the grass, her hair in a mane, of sorts, surrounding her. She reached her hand out.
“Oh my god. What is it? It’s not a bug is it?!”

“I have been to Paris before, if that’s what you’d consider ‘clean air’. Although, it all feels the same to me, you’d think that the Scottish country side would have cleaner air than a busy city like Paris.
“The Scottish countryside is rubbish. I don’t spend much time in the city; I spend my time at the vineyard.”
rosercd:
“They might have one in the village. Hogsmeade. Except you’re gonna have to wait for the next Hogsmeade weekend, so until then you’ll probably have to do it by wand.”
“According to the letters we got, there are no Hogsmeade weekends. Just a curfew of when to be back from the village.”
rosercd:
“Ohhh, my Merlin, I’m going to die. I wish I could speak French. What did that mean? Did you say your name was Lottie?”
“I said ‘My Name is Lottie. Your water sucks.’ D’you know where I could get a filtration system of some sort? Or am I gonna have to do this all by wand?”
rosercd:
“Oh my Merlin, you’re from Paris? Say something again. In French! Your accent is like, the cutest thing ever. I am so jealous.”
“What an optimist you are... Uh... Salut, mon nom est Lottie. Votre eau suce.”

That is definitely just you, I’m sorry to inform. Maybe it’s from something else.
“I suppose unless you’ve actually breathed clean air, you’d think it all the same. Maybe that’s the issue for you.”
“My head is throbbing. Pure, shooting pain. Is there something in your Scottish water that gives you all permanent headaches? Paris has clean water. You should all try it.”
