outofpetals: Okay so, it's pretty obvious that I'm on a semi-hiatus. I just don't have a lot of threads going here or roleplay partners and my other two accounts do and I'm so lazy and I'm always behind with them. But yeah, I'm not dropping Kanda because I love him with all my heart! I'm just going to catch up with my other two characters and then worry about Kanda and make a fab comeback. But as for now, I'll be coasting a bit. ;u;

‘That’s the name ‘his’ parents gave… and what kind of business do you have?’ he replied. Anyway, how would he know what kind of name was his when he stole it from his other personality? And that was such an idiotic question. This man was starting to annoy him a lot.
‘Well, you were pointing a sword at me in the first place. I have the right to defend myself from danger as I still want to live,’ he stated irritably. Not even Circus, whose people kept forcing him to sleep were as mean as this person. What’s up with him?
Maybe he should have killed this black-haired person just now. Or he could still do so now. But then he also wanted to find out more about this jerk so he had to be patient now. At the same time, he could contemplate on what was the most satisfying method to kill him.
His parents? Oh great, he was dealing with a crazy schizophrenic in the woods. "What? I don't have a business," the exorcist scoffed, not completely understanding the guy's question. "I work for an organization." He decided to remain vague. It would be no use giving all of his information to some crazy stranger in the woods.
The swordsman rubbed his face with a free hand before responding to the lost man once more. "Isn't it logical to keep your defenses up against some stranger with unnatural hair thrashing around in the woods?" he retorted. "What I'm asking is: why would you need those weapons in the first place? Do you use them to wreak havoc or for a different reason?" he asked, getting to the point as much as he could without directly asking if the man was evil or not.
Kanda figured that if the guy was an akuma, he would have attacked already instead of answered all of the black haired exorcists's queries. He lowered his sword and his defenses a tad, for the guy seemed rather tense.
outlandish encounter
Briefly she ignored the sound of the stranger’s frustrated hey! and opted instead to follow her instincts, treading lightly at the edge of the shaded woodlands where she swore she’d glimpsed the dreadful shadows before. The possibility of further post-animals— perhaps possible members of KAFKA as well— brought a further sense of lassitude upon the adolescent acrobat. The lilac, standard issued cape draped around her shoulders were tattered in various places, lean muscles still aching and protesting in disparate locations from being thrown into the roof of a building earlier by Varuga. Nevertheless, Tsukumo was still on high alert as she prodded for further post-animals.
“Please be quiet,” she murmured to Kanda. His words were loud, disruptive, and he could easily give away their location were they not careful. ”You’re at the base town of Merumerai,” she finally answered, glancing sideways at the male with a wary look of warning. Then, it was in that tiny interval of heedless caution that she was caught off-guard. A shapeless, reeking globule emerged from the timberland, a loud snarl echoing in the air as Tsukumo leaped to cover her companion. They landed roughly on the ground, the air knocked briefly out of her as the post-animal hovered over them. An arm instantly shot up, Circus I.D. uncovered from under her cloak as she pointed a closed fist at the Varuga.
“—Trajectory arrow!”
A brilliant, titular flash of light split the enemy into smaller globs, effectively vanquishing it while further post-animals came forth from the forest still. Tsukumo was breathing in ragged breaths as a graceful back-handspring was executed to increase the distance between her and them. She was far too weary for further unprompted attacks, the male was temporarily forgotten as slender, calloused hands allocated into position. She needed to concentrate— needed to energy to salvage another attack if she were to carry out her duties as a Circus member.
The scowling exorcist felt as though he was going to lose it with every step that he took into the woodlands. He followed her every step, sword still unsheathed, waiting for both an answer from her and for a possible akuma attack. He would have placed himself ahead of the woman in case an akuma would come out of the blue and assault the two; however, he was interested in seeing what the woman was planning to do in case of an attack. The decision may have been able to cost the girl her life, but hey, he was curious.
He felt his blood pressure rise to a dangerous level as he was ordered to be silent. Before he could snap back at the woman's remark, he had finally received the answer to his previously asked question. What the hell is a Merumerai? He was unaware of any European cities with that name- the name didn't even sound European in the least. Before he could say or ponder anymore, the woman had saved the two from some sort of an attack- an akuma attack perhaps? No, these couldn't be akuma unless the Earl had been experimenting and creating different types of akuma.
Kanda had no time to feel embarrassed that some petite girl just saved his ass; he completely unsheathed mugen, ready to at least attempt to destroy all of these foreign creatures. He ran his index and middle finger across the blade as the words "First Illusion: Hell's Insects" darted from his mouth. With a slash of his sword a multitude of white, hideous creatures swarmed from the edge of the blade, tearing apart any of these black creatures placed directly in front of him. Fortunately, his first attack successfully hit the beings in front of him; however, there were many more swarming. His hues glanced over at the not-so-incompetent woman. However, she appeared a bit worn down. The long haired exorcist assumed that he would be in charge of battling the majority creatures. "What a pain in the ass," the man smirked as more beasts came into his sight. Despite his words, the swordsman was actually enthralled to be in battle; it had been a while since he felt challenged.
‘I’m Yogi and uh… I’m finding my way around here. Also, I could also ask the same of you.’
Yogi continue to grip his epees. He could create vines even without his weapons, but it would be too late if the other decided to strike. He did not like how the man spoke to him. It sounded rather condescending, like certain people from Circus who probably viewed him as one of the monsters that the defense organization fought.
Well, they were not wrong since he was more Valga than human, but he preferred not be reminded of what he was. He was created this way and there was nothing he could do about it.
"Yogi? What kind of name is that?" he scoffed, keeping his defenses high, considering that the man had kept a hold of his weapons. Why would he carry such weapons if he was just some innocent, lost, gray-haired citizen? "I'm here on business," the man sneered, responding to the strangers last remark.
"What I need to know is why you're carrying around these weapons if you're merely just trying to find your way around," he stated defensively. Naturally, if he was a suspicious figure he would not admit to that- but asking of his purpose wouldn't hurt any. So much about this gray-haired man seemed simply off- especially his peculiar hair color and his two strange looking epees.

She noted duly the confusion still etched upon his face. As Circus was by no means a private government organization meant for the shadows like many other ambiguous syndicates (they did perform out in the open after all), Tsukumo found it highly peculiar— and perhaps, if she was being frank, a little suspicious— that the long-locked male had never heard of it before, nevertheless scoff and remark negatively upon it. Pale lips pressed into a thin line at his words, though she remained passive upon her countenance. “It’s a name that describes it practicalities, at least,” was the only comment she offered instead. Vaguely, Kanda’s attitude reminded her of a familiar goggle-headed thief in terms of personality. To the adolescent, it seemed as though both lacked the proper social graces that had been, in contrast, instilled in her from a tender age.
Turquoise-rimmed optics lifted their gaze once she heard the utter from his tongue, hesitation evident as he averted his gaze even further from her own. Another quirky trait to compare to Gareki, it seemed. A delicate eyebrow arched at his query, questions of her own bubbling on the cusp of her lips. “We’re in the town off…—” Uncharacteristically she trailed off as something shifted suddenly in her peripheral vision— a dark blob not unfamiliar that’d suddenly appeared in the forest landscape behind him, hidden in the cool shadows of the trees. Eyebrows inched together slightly, perturbed by the thought of further post-animals. Had Yogi’s alter-ego not diminished them all an hour ago? Tsukumo bristled at the thought, lean muscles tensing as she was on guard once more. “Please excuse me,” she murmured, brushing past him and, with light footsteps, striding cautiously toward the woodlands.
This woman had similar qualities to a fellow exorcist that Kanda had known for years. However, the platinum-haired woman appeared to lack any extreme emotion- or at least she was rather successful in hiding any of said emotions. The swordsman insulted her organization, yet she responded so calmly. He would expect someone from a organization called "Circus" to be a tad more, well, eccentric. Perhaps the organization purged all emotions from their members? The man added nothing but a scoff to her rebuttal concerning Circus' name. Getting into a scuffle over some discrete group's name would be utterly pointless.
"H-hey!" the man frustratingly called out to the Circus member as she left him answer-less Who trails off like that and then leaves without giving a full answer? How annoying! He observed her growing farther and farther away; there didn't seem to be anyone else nearby and he sure as hell didn't want to wonder around aimlessly once more. The fuming man clenched his fist with one hand and mugen in the other, contemplating what action he needed to take. "Damn it," the man hissed as quick steps followed the small framed woman. "Hey, what the hell are you doing?" the exorcist sneered from behind Tsukumo. "You didn't answer my question!" He looked past the girl's figure in order to view what she had been so fixated on. Taking better observations, it appeared as though there were some odd figures in the forest- they all had a rather dark aura. These beings must have been akuma; however, what did this small woman expect to do against any of these demons? Kanda drew his sword after said observations, fully expecting to defend this bold woman against any akuma. How troublesome.
D.Gray-Man - Yu Kanda
Traipsing through a large forest, Yogi wondered why he was awake now. ‘He’ was not in any danger and there were no Valga around. There was nothing he could do but attempt to find Circus’s ship. Which would be very difficult if he did not know where he was.
In the distance, he could see a lone figure. Maybe he could ask for directions. However, immediately after he stepped on a pile of leaves, he saw the figure, a man in a black uniform turning around to face him. He stopped.
So the stranger had noticed him, he realised, as the man unsheathed a sword. Yogi wondered if the black-clad figure wanted to fight him. He decided to see if an attack would come or not. If this man dared to strike, he could easily bind the other with Dorn Kiste.
Kanda glared at the gray-haired man; the two appeared to be around the same height. The bewildered man caused the 19 year old's eyebrows to raise. The man seemed lost and confused, which left the swordsman wondering whether or not to consider this man as a threat in the first place. His eyes wandered to the disheveled man's two weapons that appeared to be épées; however, they looked rather unique. The exorcist did not loosen his grip on mugen- that would be stupid considering the guy was armed. Could he be an akuma perhaps? Usually when akuma are in their human forms, they don't carry around any weapons that resembled thus guy's épées , but there's a first for everything.
The gray haired man walked close enough for Kanda to get a good look at him; the two appeared around the same age. The swordsman grew ready to cut him down if he was indeed an akuma and did decide to attack, but surprisingly the disheveled man did not attack. A strong hand kept a tight grip on his sword. "Who are you and what is your business here?" the 19 year old asked, harshly and bluntly.

Allen made a triumphant face as the other man sat down, trading it for a showy smile. He didn’t know if he was willing to push further or not, perhaps he would even start eating quietly and scoot further away from the long-haired teen, but he just had to say something else to egg Allen on.
“You shouldn’t swear Kanda, it’s offensive to some people.”
Kanda continued eating the soba that had been served to him. Normally, he would take his time eating such a delicacy; however, his anger was rising at a rather quick rate. Consequently, it would not be good for his health or for Allen if he were to stay in the cafeteria any longer than he needed to be.
"I don't give a damn," the man hissed, responding to the beansprout's statement. Now he knew for sure that the white haired man was deliberately irking him; he knew from day one that Kanda could not care less about offending others. "So are you going to leave now or what?" the man sneered; why the hell had this guy not left his table yet?

Angry steps and movements echoed through the large forest. The swordsman was placed in charge of a solo mission; however, his finder was no where to be seen but he had already finished his mission. He supposed that gave him the okay to travel back from the town.Really, those finders are hardly useful.
He had been walking through this forest for a while, getting across the place to the next city was actually quite tiresome. The stubborn swordsman refused to take a break that his body perhaps needed. Suddenly, a rustling sound came into the range of the exorcist's hearing; the sound seemed too loud and sloppy to be an animal of any sort. Was it an akuma perhaps? He drew his sword, in case the thing he had been hearing was indeed a threat. The sound of footsteps were growing closer- he was prepared to attack if necessary.
A wary hand opened the door to a rather noisy, and smoky bar. The entire atmosphere of the place was purely annoying, but expected. A tired swordsman took a seat on a corner bar stool, far away from any other being and far away from all the commotion as well. The 19 year old exorcist placed the side of his face in the palm of his right hand as he ordered something to drink, he had hoped that this would be the only human interaction he would have all night. Just like any other day, Kanda was not in the mood to socialize; however, this disdain felt even larger than normal on this night. He brought the glass to his lips ungracefully- he has had a long day.

“E-Eh?” the white-haired beansprout sputtered out in reply. “I simply asked if I was interrupting you…I was going to offer to move….buuuut…” he trailed off, a smirk painting across his face. Just as planed. He chuckled nervously as he realized the attention Kanda has now garnered. This was more opportunity to crawl under his skin and wriggle around like a loose thorn. “You might want to sit down…You’re causing a scene.” he whispered very quietly.
Allen's attempt to act naive only angered the swordsman even more. Obviously the white haired exorcist was aware that Kanda did not enjoy his company- especially while he was eating in that disgusting manner. The 19 year old's eyes narrowed, giving the other man a deathly stare. "Stop pretending to be so innocent you damn beansprout," the swordsman snapped, keeping his enraged eyes locked on the boy. The multiple eyes around the cafeteria that had been drawn towards Kanda had finally gotten to the man. He hastily sat back down in his seat as he gripped the edge of the wooden table rather angrily. "You better leave this table, beansprout, or I swear," the man grumbled in a low tone, the rest of his words becoming nearly inaudible.
