It would be interesting if the Man In Yellow needed to kill people to sustain his form in the body he transformed into now. If people needed to die in order for him to keep up the secret it would have raised the stakes a bit more. And it would be an interesting way for someone to find out about him. Like if less people die, the harder it is for him to maintain his form.
