I AM A HUFFLEPUFF, AND THAT’S NOT BAD

Ever since I’ve read the books and watched the movies, I’ve dreamed of being sorted to Gryffindor; the house of the brave, the courageous, and the daring.  Well, who would not be? There are four houses at Hogwarts; Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw, and Hufflepuff. The first two were very hyped up (one has a bad reputation though), while the other two seemed to be left in the shadows almost the whole series. And, to be honest, I would rather be sorted to Ravenclaw than Hufflepuff. So, you could just imagine how I felt when I got sorted into Hufflepuff a year ago. I spent a lot of time pretending that I am sorted to Gryffindor, this is cringe worthy but I won’t lie. 

 However, with time, I’ve come to understand and appreciate Hufflepuff. A huge thanks to Fantastic Beast and Where to Find Them. This spin off from Harry Potter series showed people that Hufflepuff members can do great things as well. 

What are the traits of people (wizards) that are sorted into Hufflepuff anyway?

TRUSTWORTHY, LOYAL, KIND, JUST, HARDWORKING, DEDICATED, and UNAFRAID OF TOIL

Unlike other houses, Hufflepuff is underrated and underestimated because it lives quietly until attacked. Some wizards even dub the house as the least clever house. WRONG! However, Hufflepuff is the least boastful. Just because we don’t shout about the things we are capable of and our achievements, we don’t get the credit that we deserve. I can relate to this one.  You don’t have any idea how many times people have discredited me because I hate bragging. But, I am guilty of discrediting myself as well. 

Mostly, sensitive traits or “loving” traits are categorized as useless and weak. However, seeing the world now, we do indeed need more Hufflepuff people right?
