This project was a little problematic to begin with, due to communication issues within the group there was a lot of waiting time between each person finishing their work which ended in a late submission. Unfortunately the texturing is not in this version of the Artist’s Garden but, as agreed by the group, I was suppose to only do all the modelling and so all assets are accounted for. I found the coding team to be particularly helpful during this project and were very easy to communicate, and personally I found that they were very cooperative during the whole project. If another project like this arose next year, I’d be completely fine working with them again.
VR Project “3x3″ (Maya, Zbrush, Unity / Unreal Engine)
Assets: Lighter, Small Table, Coffee Table, Wine Bottle, Chair, Door
Characters in Situ: Modelling for 3D Printing
Program used: Z Brush
Asset : Mermaid and Tree Trunk Stump
Mermaid: Louis Metrebian
Stump: Mark Tutton
Unfortunately due to a problem with Zbrush itself, Mark and I were unable to rig the Mermaid asset and therefore position her on the plinth. This was because the rigging tab was missing inside of Zbrush and we are still uncertain as to why this is the case, but it has inhibited us from finishing the project completely, though both assets are fully completed.
I very much enjoyed working on the mermaid asset. It was a challenge to this time create a character who i couldn’t be so abstract with due to the nature of the project but i personally think I did quite well. If i could go back I would redo the face and head, then add the hair separately to avoid weird clipping and making it difficult to rework into the detail of the face. Otherwise I really like how the texturing of the sculpture came out, I think the scales look believable and so does the design and the texture of the fins.Â

For a first attempt at creating a VR environment, I am very happy with the way this project concluded. Unfortunately there were severe communication problems during the holidays, but all texturing and modelling was completed. I personally dislike designing inorganic environments so this was a challenge, I much prefer character design, but I think the assets I made were able to believably fit into the environment.
Rotorscope Workshop Project
-Software Photoshop
I found this project was unlike any i had done before. Technically speaking it was rather simple, and not too difficult just time consuming and we had to do it whilst a number of other projects were on the go. However, what i found particularly difficult was how personal this project was. Having to talk to peers about something rather emotional in order to get an emotional reaction out of ourselves made me feel fairly uncomfortable. Besides this though it was rather helpful in teaching me how the face moves when we speak. I can’t deny how useful it was, even though it was rather awkward.
Animation and Performance: (Lip Sync Animation in Maya)
I used this sheet to help me figure out the position of the jaw for my lip sync project.
