"Can someone help me figure out this phone?"
Phoebe was standing on both of her toes and wrapped both of her arms around his neck and softly kissed him. ” We’ll be super duper okay. If it was a boy.. What about you name it? ” She bite her lip.
He grinned down at her. She was short but he liked that. Wrapping his arms around her loosely, he picked her up slightly while in mid kiss before grinning. "I'd have to think about that. I never had to think about naming boys before." Coop couldn't remember his father's name anyways and it held no real meaning to him despite the man helping his existence along. "An S name, maybe?"Â
" Shut up husband. You know what I mean. " She threw a pillow at him and stick out her tongue.
"I'm just saying." He laughed while not even dodging the pillow at all. "We're going to be okay." Coop spoke softer now, leaning closer to her and wrapped his arms around her once more.
" Letter? Cute one? Yes. "
Phoebe danced through the living room. ” I’m getting a love letter! And this time not from a pervy old guy. Lucky me. Lucky me. “
"I can write a cute letter, yes." He watched her now, amused, as she danced through the living room. "I am technically old...er... than you."
Phoebe raised an eyebrow. ” It took me thousand years to learn how to work with this iphone thing. I found out I can track the kids.. But I won’t do that. Because-.. It’s mean. ” She laughed. ” Technology is very difficult. I have to admit love is a little bit more difficult yes. Oh- gives me an idea for an article. “
" Where is the time loved ones wrote letters to each other. "
"Well if you don't, I will. I can't seem to keep track of them." He shook his head little before laughing. "Would you like a letter, Phoebe?"
" No charges at all? I can’t wait. YOU WILL COOK? Honestly man. You’re the best husband in the world. I think I’ll even have to write an article about you. " She looked up. ” Ten things every man should do to make his wife fall in love even more. “
" Sounds perfect. " She kissed him an other time and looked at her phone. " Is it weird I’m going to text the girls we’re all going to have dinner? Technology is taking over the world. "
He chuckled. "Not every woman has a cupid for a husband." Coop teased before sticking his tongue out. "Yes, I will cook. Anything you want."
Coop looked at the phone before shaking his head. "If only love was as simple as technology is."
The difference between love and hate. // Coop and Bo
Bo had never had anyone really care about her. She had Tate, who looked after her; but she could read minds, she knew he didn’t really want to be with her. He was only there because it was his escape from prison. While he had Bo, he was free — kind of.Â
The blonde could feel how Coop was feeling. She knew that he was thinking like a father, and all she could think about was whether or not she should tell him that her bully is in fact his own daughter. Would he even believe her?Â
"Someone is bullying me, in my classes…" Bo replied. "I guess because I’m younger, and… well mostly because I’m just a stupid mortal girl who inherited her mothers powers."Â
Coop wasn't really sure how to take her words. A bully? That wasn't good. Bullies were the worse kind of people with all of the hatred and pain they held in their hearts. That was usually the case, yes. Maybe someone was bullying the bully? Sometimes that was the reason too. He was sad now though. No one deserved to be bullied or belittled for any reason.
"Oh, no. You're not stupid." Her words actually hurt. The way Coop had saw the situation was, well, she wouldn't die. Not as long as he was immortal and could never die. mortality meant different things to people. That was what it meant for him. You could be immortal if you did the right things and loved.Â
Coop decided that with class still in session, he could chat for a little while so he sat down a few feet away from her and looked at her. "None of those reasons are a reason for hate, you realize that, right? You have a whole world inside of your heart that no one but you can influence. No one has the right, even with experiences, to tell you how it should be or how you should view yourself." She'd learn more of that when she got older, hopefully.
"This bully is just one person who doesn't understand. Trust me, I'm older than I look, when I say that you have a long time to see what I'm saying but just because he or she doesn't understand doesn't mean someone who does won't come along and when they do, you won't even remember that one person." If she did, it would only make her stronger. "I wouldn't think too much about it. The difference between love and hate is that you feel something because of your experience. The sadness alone will make you stronger even when you don't think it will. With hate, the giver doesn't feel remorse and won't be able to see their flaw."
Phoebe laughed. ” Seriously? Seeds at Wal-Mart and BAM! Baby alert? That is the most funny thing I’ve heard coming from a kid. No but seriously. I read in this book about being a parent that it’s not healthy to lie to your child about things like that. We should just say. Mommy and daddy did something together out of love and then a baby happened. Something like that? I have to make sure I don’t say that to P.J or Parker or they’re going to laugh. “
" DINNER! Yes. I love dinner- Really? All of your charges? Fine. I hope they actually want to do that. Like the whole dinner thing. "
He nodded as he laughed as well. "Then we're going to be honest." What else could they do other than you know, stammer and look like an idiot.Â
"Yes, dinner. No charges." His family was first even though the cupid in him told him that was wrong. Love needed to be found and felt. "I'll even cook!"
I’m sorry, it was an accident!
Sorry for what?
The difference between love and hate. // Coop and Bo
Bo hid herself off from everyone. Skipping her last class of the day, the young girl curled up, broken hearted, in the corner of the library at magic school. She was new, she wasn’t a witch, and she was the youngest in her class; so that made her the target of one bully. She was strong, the most powerful of her kind. But she wasn’t the type of girl to use her powers against anyone who fought for the greater good, no matter what.
Bo had been alone her entire life. She’d never been to a school before, and she wasn’t used to being around people who were of a similar age to her. Bo’s only friend was Channing, who was about 10 years older than her. All this was new to her and she was starting to wish she could go back to a life of travelling around the country, Â
The young girl jumped slightly as she heard someone entering the library, and she tried to wipe away her tears — low sobs still escaping her. Bo looked up, as Coop leaned down before her, and she cleared her throat before replying to the guy’s question. “Oh uhm… I’m just having a hard first week.” The blonde replied.Â
Bo recognised Coop at being Parker’s father, and so at first she didn’t want to get into the whole bullying thing…Â
He frowned at the girl's answer. Coop knew that he should have remembered her but the name wasn't really coming to him and using his ring for that information seemed like an invasion of privacy. The only love the girl needed was from parents, siblings if she had them, and her peers. She was far too young for romantic love so that being a reason she was sad was out of the question. She was clearly hurting despite the lack of answer on her part. Trying to think of something to say, he looked around the library for a minute before looking back to the girl.
"It gets easier, really." He tried to reassure her. "Wanna tell me about it though? I'm sure it won't hurt anything." Offering a soft and welcoming smile in replace of his frown, he kept his eyes on her.
Deep inside of Coop everything turned. His worry, his love, his kindness... The fact that he had been wanting to become human for his own little selfish purposes. Without his abilities or his ring, he wouldn't have been able to tell what was going on with the girl. Still, the ring could only scratch the surface. She actually had to tell him about his problems to be able to help her if she wanted the help. That was her first step though and her choice. Cupids didn't make choices for people but they could be considered guides for all kinds of love and other little things.
Phoebe shrugged. ” I give love advice. I should be able to answer a simple question as.. where do babies come from? Am I right? ” She laughed knowing it was true. Even though her own children were a little different.
" You know I don’t hit you.. That only happened maybe five times in all those years we’ve been together. " She shrugged. " Maybe more. "
He chuckled. Coop was a cupid. That didn't mean that he just majored in romantic love. Love could be anything. "Simple: they come from love. Or as a kid I met recently said: Mommies buy seeds at Wal-Mart, swallow them and nine months later... BAM! Baby alert." The girls were different though. They knew many things that the kids their ages wouldn't know. While they were mature, they were still young though.
"Why don't we have a dinner or something? I'll start picking the girls up more and cut back on some of my charges." By like... All of them.
The difference between love and hate. // Coop and Bo
It was Coop's turn to pick up the girls from Magic School and he wasn't going to mess it up. He purposely planned his charges just in order to be able to pick his daughters up and spend time with them while Phoebe did what she needed to do. Coop had been realizing that he couldn't really spend a lot of time with them and he was making sure that, that wasn't the case anymore. He was even investigating how to become human, knowing the circumstances as to why and how he became a cupid in the first place.
Not mentioning his intentions to Phoebe, though he knew he would have to eventually, he kept it to himself. Not even the small circle of fathers knew what he wanted to do. Not even Leo, the fallen whitelighter who knew what it was like to fall from something he had seemingly always done. He kept it from Phoebe both is fear that it might cause Phoebe to react badly and because well... He wanted to be able to die with her and no father should have to bury their child. Coop was immortal. They were not. It scared him.
Stepping down a corridor, he had arrived early so he could look at the books, he found the right door that he needed. In the Library he would be alone. There was only one class left in the day and the library was seemingly deserted. Entering completely and shutting the door behind him, he let out a little breath. Coop hadn't even told his brothers and sisters of his plan knowing that they would try to either convince him not to or try to recall him from his place. He couldn't allow either of those things to happen. His family needed him more now than ever. Coop would be human, eventually... Or die.
Eyes scanning through the books on display, he stopped in his tracks. Soft sobs echoed through the large room. His eyes scanned the room before traveling the rows and once he found the source of the cries, he bent down eye level to the little girl who looked no older than Parker was. "Hey... What's a matter?" Coop's voice was soft and gentle in a fatherly way. With his ring on his finger he could tell that she was sad or something like the wicked emotion. Loved but unwelcome...Â
Phoebe laughed. ” Do you know that you’re the only husband who’s willing to carry his wife’s baby? You romantic creature. Oh wait- Cupid thing? ” She still wasn’t over the fact that she fell in love with someone who was that amazing and so nice. Phoebe knew that the women reading her column would kill for someone like Coop.
" Are you going to tell them? "
" No wait-.. I should. I mean we should just tell everyone we meet and hope everyone reacts okay. I mean. Remember when I was pregnant from Patty and P.J asked how that happened? What if Patty asks that question? I mean- I’m sure Parker knows how it happens but Patty. I can’t go through that awkward situation again. Why are all our children so curious? " She raised an eyebrow.
" It’s me right? "
That probably wasn't true but he nodded anyways. "Husband, Phoebe. Husband." He reminded her. Coop liked to think that the cupid thing came last but she was probably right about the cupid thing.Â
"We should absolutely tell everyone! As for Patty... Are you going to hit me if I tell you to send her to Piper? She always has the answers." Between the fathers though, no one ever had answers. "Yeah, you stubborn woman."
Phoebe took a deep breath. ” It’ll be okay right? We’ve managed it for like three times. We can do it again. I don’t like the giving birth part. Maybe you should do it. ” She looked up playfully. ” Maybe I have a spell for that. Trust me the moments after make you forget the pain.”
She wrapped her arms around Coop once again and hugged him. Looked like she definitely needed his body against hers for a while. Maybe she was happy. In the beginning it might have seen like a bad idea. But Coop’s reaction calmed her down.
He nodded. "It'll be more than okay, Phoebe." As for the giving birth part... "Have I mentioned I'm really, really happy to hold your hand?" Coop couldn't help the grin forming on his lips now. "But if I have to carry the baby, I'm more than willing." Well, sort of. He was still a good husband by offering anyways. Well, he hoped he was.
"We do have to tell the girls though and your sisters... And the other kids and husbands." A lot of freaking people.
Phoebe nodded slightly. ” An other baby. ” She whispered. ” I’m a little afraid Coop. That this little human.. Well little witch/cupid inside of me is going to feel left out. I mean- You know about the power of three right? P.J, Parker and Patty are going to be able to call the power of three. Because they’re three girls and- If the fourth one is a girl. ” She held her head. ” Aren’t that troubles for later? ” She raised an eyebrow and hugged her husband. ” We’re going to be mommy and daddy again. And we’re going to change diapers and clean up messy tables. But I do think we can do it. As long as you’re here. Are you okay with it? I mean-.. I’m sorry that I forgot to take my birth control pill you know how bad I am with remembering important things. After.. After this little wonder is born we should think about- something permanent. “
" Now we should tell everyone right? I hope the kids are happy."
Another baby. It seemed like all of his dreams and fears were coming true at the same time: four kids with the woman he loved and not enough arms or time to deal with them all. Coop had seriously been considering asking to become human in the past but now was no better time. He wouldn't be able to be around as much with the double loads of charges given to him to help him knock out Valentines Day as a working day. "Phoebe." Coop stated calmly. "I am okay. We are okay. This baby is going to be okay and it will be loved just the same."
As for the children... "We could always ground them if they're not okay with it but yes, we should probably tell them before they guess."
