Day 3: Reine (E-an)!

E-an was one of the sculpts that first made me fall in love with DOD. I joined the hobby in January 2007, just after the I-ra release and I adored her - so when E-An appeared I knew I had to have one. It took me way longer than I would have liked but alas I had time and youth but 0 moneys.

(Plus I had to bring home her brother Milsae first!)

And somehow now I have the full E-an/Tender E-an/I-ra set 🙊 I still adore her!

I was actually gifted a t-shirt with her (and a Camine one, too) on at the Japanese DOD store, I must get it out and put it in my doll display 🥺

Day 2: Ricardo (Azera)!

He’s involved in the Elven Academy, but I’m not totally sure how yet 🤔 he is an artificial life form/homunculus like Culi is - different creator however. He has a gem like hers but he keeps it better hidden.

His jacket is borrowed from a DOT boy- it fits the shoulders but the arms are hilariously short. He definitely needs his own clothes soon! At least he has one of his earrings on 😂

It’s been ….. uuuuhhhhhh … a while. (This is a repost from my instagram, even… from the 1st April.)

I’m about finished hibernating the winter, so while I have some energy I decided it’s time for a Dream of Doll month love-in again 💕

Of course the first name I pulled was Dixon, who has no body, wig, faceup… oops 😅 The body borrowed here is a Ringdoll RGMbody-4, it’s quite a nice fit! I did intend this head to be a girl, though, so I’m gonna have to look for an appropriately muscular one.

I know other people think the head is quite masculine but when it arrived I looked and she told me she’s a whole ass butch, so I do as I’m told 🤷

Dixon is a Dream Head 10!

Not sure if you still check this but just wanted to say thank you for your DoD archive website. I got a couple DoDs I saved up for with allowances and gifts as a kid. I used to check the website every single morning for years. But by the time I was an adult with a job and able to afford them more regularly, they abruptly closed. I miss DoD so much and would do anything for them to reopen, but this is the next best thing. Your archive has brought me so much joy and peace. Thank you.

I do still check here! Thank you ❤️ I wish they'd come back too 😭

Day 14: Finn

Day 14 of my #dodadvent2021 : Finn! Did you know Sha and Camine have surprisingly similar faces, especially when you’re trying to track a Sha down? 🥲  Good thing they’re pretty… (This is how I ended up with 3 Camine at one point)

He’s called Finn for now as he didn’t seem to suit the character I’d hoped for him, it may change in future. (I’m quite proud of myself for actually posting these each day, usually I lose interest by now )

Day 13: Sebastian

Day 13 of my #dodadvent2021 : Sebastian! I think he's a gardener, he hasn't told me a lot about himself yet. He definitely needs a better faceup and some kind of styling to his wig 🤔

Day 12: Mika

Day 12 of my #dodadvent2021 : Mika! Don’t let his appearance fool you too much - he’s a pro gamer & streamer. I might make a SD sized computer desk room setup next year, I have a few dolls that would suit it for a photoshoot 🤔 (I did not get his hoodie finished in time for his photo, I will likely post that next month instead 🥲)

Day 11 : Pepper

Day 11 of my #dodadvent2021 : Pepper! She needs a nice pair of rabbit ears and a tail, another project for 2022 😆  They have no idea if they're actually related but she and Tack consider each other cousins. She was my first tan doll 🥰  If I hadn't got her I may not have bought Kean the year after she came to me 😲 (Tack is a Soom Hawa!)

Day 10: Vanya

Day 10 of my #dodadvent2021 : Vanya! 🏳️‍⚧️ As he tells it: He was born a woman in Corinth, "Medea" - her tale is well-told - and as it came to an end Hekate took her from the human realm. There he became a daimon, Hekate agreeing to his desire to no longer be trapped in the body of a woman. Vanya is his "modern" chosen name - he is also known as Mormo, and Hekate goes by Lucina these days 😉

Day 9: Sylvian Kadmon-Uren

Day 9 of my #dodadvent2021 : Sylvian Kadmon-Uren! An older photo, here with his cousin Eden 💖 Sylvian is hugely into space, stars and planets along with photography. His aim is to get a photo with multiple shooting stars!

Day 8 : Melissa “Risa”

She’s Dario’s daughter, and her random character fact: she has a genetic syndrome that causes muscle weakness and paralysis, and makes it unlikely she’ll reach adulthood. She also suffers from crippling migraines as a symptom.

Her parents and twin brother are very protective of her and work hard to make sure she has a happy life for as long as she’s with them.

Day 6 : Eden | Aurélie Fayltae

Day 6 of my #dodadvent2021: Aurélie “Eden” Fayltae! Eden 🥰🥰 my first bjd! She’s gone through a lot of (pretty subtle) changes since 2007 - several faceups, eye brands, wigs (I made her this one) and a whole new body (old DOC to new DOC)! She always keeps the same kind of look, just updated and refined a bit more each time. I still adore her and I’m so glad I got her all those years ago. 💖

Day 5: Arlen Fayltae

Day 5 of my #dodadvent2021 : Arlen Fayltae! A double shot today, I like both of these photos of him 😍 He's almost totally blind due to an accident when he's pretty young - he can see bright colours and vague shapes but no details.

Day 4: Kean Avery

Day 4 of my #dodadvent2021 : Kean Avery! (a bit late, but I wasn't feeling too well last night.) He still needs a new wig, it needs to be gradient dyed so it's not a huge priority when this one works fine for now.

Day 3: Antonella “Nell”

Day 3 of my #dodadvent2021 : Nell!

One of the few dolls I own that hasn’t settled into one of my main universes! I’m sure she’ll let me know where she fits at some point. I got her from another local owner when she was leaving the hobby, I thought that might be the reason but I also got E-An at the same time, she immediately told me she was Reine and she is Mil’s sister so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Day 2: Lucina

「A Warning」 Day 2 of my DOD Advent : Lucina! A goddess of magic and witchcraft. She’s going to get a better photoshoot later, at sunset and when I’ve made her a wax Hand Of Glory to light her way. (Also when her husband, Vanya, is finished 🥲)
