he’d been wandering around for the better part of an hour at this point. it was truly a shock no one had stopped him. maybe a few weird stares here and there but he certainly wasn’t dressed to match the part of the people who shopped here. at first the plan was to just get in and out — he really wanted some juice — but after walking inside everything seemed to just draw the kid’s eye. he actually forgot about the bottle of apple juice that was clutched tightly in his right hand. but what catches him off guard is the wonderful smell coming from the back area of the store. being nosey and lacking any self restraint, jack makes his way towards the smell, abruptly coming to a stop when he notices the woman responsible staring directly at him. “ —can I have some ? ”

Her brother had decided that the theme of the week , yes – the grocery had subtly themed weeks , would be aphrodisiacs. She was convinced it was simply an axiom he had heard in a movie or song , spent a maximum of five minutes Googling it , only to storm into the establishment and declare his vision. ( “ Hashtag Anavrin aphrodisiacs Love , think about it … ” ) And as soon as Forty made up his mind , they were all put to work , his sister being no exception. She hums to herself , radio playing gently in the background , as she melts the milk chocolate to dip her strawberries into. The tunes of the top 40s distract her from the pitter patter of foot falls that make their way into her kitchen.

When she sees him , she can’t help but blink in surprise , head swivelling to see if any parents could be found in close proximity. “ Hey little sunflower , of course you can. ” He was adorable , blonde hair blue eyed baby boy , full of life. Her heart swelled at the sight of him , and she’s quick to scurry around the island to crouch before him , fresh strawberry in her palm. “ Fruits are good for you , they make you big and strong. ” She teasingly squeezes his bicep , not failing to notice the lack of meat on small bones. “ Do you know where your parents are ? Do you need help finding them ? ”

She wanted one just like him.

love bakes when frustrated or mad and all throughout the beginning of the season we see her leaving joe baked goods in his locker. she’s mad at him for not wanting her as much as she wants him , not falling head over heels in love with her and you can’t convince me otherwise.
