So what do you think of Komova now that we know she's trash? since you were so upset when people said they did not like her gymnastics

Listen. The short answer to this is that I still think that Komova’s gymnastics is probably the most beautiful of all times (for ME, but everyone else is allowed to their own opinion and I was not upset at all about people not liking her gymnastics lmao but that’s another story).

As to her being trash, I’m not even sure we have truly established what she actually said. I’m a translator myself and I only half trust translations, cause I KNOW just how easy it is to add a different twist to what someone said by using one word instead of another.

But even if she actually said that she doesn’t believe Korbut to have been abused, a) I wouldn’t be surprised, and b) that still doesn’t make her gymnastics ugly to me. She’s not my friend or someone I look up to, she’s someone whose quality of movement I find so beautiful that a simple kip to handstand of hers makes me tear up.
