No, at first I truly didn't. I refused to believe, I fell to the floor gasping for breath. It wasn't real, it wasn't true. It had to be a lie. I didn't feel pain, I didn't feel sadness, I felt nothing. I felt the air being sucked into my lungs with my heavy gasps, but emotionally, I felt nothing. In my head flashed every time I got close enough to see the sparkle in the big brown eyes, or the way he moved, the way his humour lit up an entire room, the way he carried himself, the colour of his every strand of hair, or the way his lips curved or every time I pressed my lips on his. I saw it all, I saw us sitting on the mountain top, I saw us wrestling on the living room floor, I saw us hand in hand like it used to be. I heard his voice. I didn't believe that god would let my soul mate get away like that, but he did, and after the selfishness has passed I believe it. I believe that God knows the reasons why, but I believe him.
