This hidden gem is located in the area of Caherkinmonwee, surrounded by the quaintness of weeping woodlands, elegant flora, fascinating wildlife and finally a welcoming local community who love nothing more than having the opportunity to parade their beautiful surroundings to intrigued visitors. The area itself is also surprisingly accessible with both public transport links and a plethora of different roads to trek through if guests were driving.

The true selling point of this dreamy location is most certainly of guests having the opportunity to LIVE LIKE KINGS! The castle was constructed all the way back in the 1400's and has stood strong to this day. With a few necessary revamps here and there, Cahercastle has still managed to hold its fascinating elegance all these years on. Features such as looping staircases, classic ring door knobs, high ceilings and window spaces that haven't been tampered with, not only are these features absolutely breathtaking but the views from the various vantage points scattered around the grounds also are a huge selling point of the location. These points allow the guests to get a view of the surrounding area that some may only dream of!

Coming in at a €160 a night, the one bedroom, two bed castle is truly offering people a trip to remember. Saying this, anyone looking to live this real life fantasy better act quick as the venue is regularly booked up as it is extremely sought after.

Located in the beautiful sprawling grounds of Finn Lough these bubble domes truly offer an experience like no other. Surrounded by gorgeous views of lakes, forest woodlands and roaming wildlife, it gives guests the opportunity to become one with nature on this once in a lifetime trip. Whether it be stargazing or even just taking in the surreal surroundings the 180 degree clear dome leaves nothing for the imagination as all aspects of the area can be seen from in or outside the comfort of their living space.

Not only does the bubble dome offer guests an amazing experience regarding the outside factors of the area but also the in house amenities include a list that will surely tend to all needs. Hand crafted king sized beds, cozy bathrobes, baths and even a complimentary mini bar.. We like the sound of that!

All of this can be yours for as long as you please, because the people at Finn Lough lake love their guests so much that there is no maximum amount of time that you can stay here for.

Depending on the time of year you can finalise a booking with your superhost, Jacqui, for around €140 per night with an essential 2-night minimum stay policy. Take it from us, that price is a steal. However, be warned, this place is booked up an average of 2 full months ahead of time so get planning early!

In the case that the lucky pair have decided they would like to travel past the luxurious grounds of the Romantic Lakeside Getaway they will be greeted with a whole host of activities and attractions that the stunning Donegal has to offer. For those looking for a more laxed time spent away there are a range of different places to go such as Donegal Castle, Huge variety of restaurants, Famine Village and even the well renowned Tropical World where visitors can see anything from a llama to a lemur, I think I know what I'd choose! And of course those looking to explore the great outdoors of the forgotten county there are a plethora of breathtaking activities to do in the realm of hiking, sightseeing and visiting some of Irelands most famous beaches. Surfing on Bundoran beach anyone?

All in all I feel I am speaking for a large percentage of people when I say Romantic Lakeside Getaway seems like it may be a bit too good to be true right? Wrong, the listing is truly that nice and personally I'm really struggling for reasons as to why this area may not be ideal for couples looking to really spend some good quality time away from the fast pace of life. My only downfall I can see and I'm really reaching here, is the ruralness of the location but if that is what visitors are after then I cant see any issues.
