Falling Leaves (1888) - Franz Courtens (1854–1943)
the world is too noisy for our silences☙
The weather is vile: rather clear, a kind of convulsive sun and incessant wind. I love you.
3 August 1942 Letters to Véra by Vladimir Nabokov
He slips “I love you” into the weather report. :)) It’s so tender and endearing, like the words just fell out of his pocket mid-sentence. I simply adore those random Nabokov “I love you” moments. There’s something so effortlessly romantic and magical about them. They arrive like sunlight through a window, finding you before you even thought to look for it.
