idk if this has been done but please give me a plot where there are these two heartbreakers who are super confident with themselves and they hook up one time when they meet at a party or something and when they’re about to hook up for the second time they’re both like “you know if we’re gonna keep on doing this i’m gonna break your heart, right?” so they make a bet where they’re gonna try to break each other’s hearts and whoever wins gets like a $100 or something else idek. but basically they’re both making each other jealous by flirting with each others friends and exes or just beautiful strangers while they’re pretending like they don’t give a fuck about what the other is doing but they low key do and of course eventually one of them breaks and the other feels bad because they kinda developed a crush on each other??
My best friend is getting married and I’m her maid of honour so now I have to make a trip across the country alone because my lame boyfriend chose work over me but wait because my best friend isn’t okay with that so she has her brother come with me and hold on he looks nothing like that summer we spent together six years ago when we first kissed and spent all night laughing and talking and maybe I felt something for him and not to mention he left for college without saying anything after that to me so why is he acting like I did him wrong???

“ it’s rude to not share y’know ? ” eyes narrow in defence as she watches him singlehandedly down part of the contents of the bottle , already shuffling closer to retrieve crystal bottle that definitely should’ve been kept far away and out of reach . “ easy questions are no fun . you’re no fun . ” harsh yet uncalled for confession comes out quicker than anticipated , barely comprehending the point blank rudeness lacing every word . instead , nimble fingers reach up to run through dark hair , pushing back strands away from groggy eyes before turning to fixate gaze on prior ex .
“ will you take me shopping ? we could go now , i’m — ” words are cut short as she gathers muddled up thoughts together before piping up at such an absurd yet spontaneously brilliant idea , at least in her own mind . “ if we’re not going to kiss … then i think , a shopping spree will more than make up for it and we can resume our game on the way . what do you say , grumpy ? ” brunette all but leaps up from comfy spot , brief rush of dizziness hitting her hard yet ready and raring to go , not fully having thought things through given how late it already was .
brows furrow instantly at mere sound of femme’s biting claims , self posing as sudden outburst’s sole target , without it entirely missing the mark despite apparent intoxicated state . ‘ if making sure we don’t say or do anything that you’ll be regretting soon as the morning comes , then let me be no fun , i can take it . ’ grip round bottle tightens , if only for burning liquid to meet dry petals in lasting sip , hesitantly setting remnants atop glass coffee table , confident enough in own ability to stop companion from reaching off limits liquor .
even at brief mention of shared kiss , faint chuckle slips through tight lipped simper , gaze nervously dropping to own knees in attempt to dodge slightest contact with other’s eyes . ‘ i don’t think shopping’s a good idea , with you being a little too tipsy to take a single step out the door , let alone enter any shop . let’s just ’ upon dark irises catching glimpse of former lover hopping to her feet , monologue comes to sharp halt , instinctively standing with slender fingers gently wrapping around wrists .
‘ why don’t we just take a seat for now , hm ? ’ digits slide barely enough to hold femme’s hand , impulsive peck against rosy cheek serving as single viable solution in midst of clouded thoughts . ‘ there , you got your kiss . now please sit back down , i’m a little tired to go shopping anyway . ’ flashes coy beam , while pulling smaller frame towards previous seats in delictae fashion , hues pleading for resumption of former , more comfortable and easier to handle position .
tips messily tug at shirt laying few inches further , tiresome sigh falling from crooked grin with hues carefully studying delicate features before self as means of signaling departure . ‘ you look pretty hot when your hair is messy . ’ swiftly slipping into own attire , larger frame leans forward ever so slightly , if only for digits to tuck strands of brunette locks behind opposite’s ear in hopes that said gesture would distract , shift focus from early exit . ‘ now , i know i’m very missable , but can’t stay the night , we’ve been over this before . ’ / @avenuc
