Had an ENTIRE debate with someone who had this thought process. No matter how much evidence I showed him (he's a trans guy too), he just kept saying it was a joke, or it was punching up, or yadda yadda someone saying they want to kill an entire category of trans people is definitely funny and okay, but also simultaneously that it doesn't happen and even when it does it's not nearly at the same scale as the hatred trans women face. Like can we all just agree that saying you want to kill the entire other group of trans people specifically because they are both trans and that gender is wrong? Can we all agree that instead of demanding everybody show proof of their oppression, and denying or putting off said proof?

All trans people get discriminated against, and all trans people can in fact discriminate against each other. It does not matter if you're intersectionally more oppressed than the other trans person, oppressing them specifically because they are trans and their gender is still transphobic. It is the same exact process that happens when a disabled person oppresses another disabled person for their disability. No you are not "punching up" by directly saying it would be super funny to consider the other person violent or subhuman. It would be a joke that "punches up" or that is funny if the other person actually laughs, but nobody here is laughing. Like no one at all. Because the punchline is you defending the right to kill and oppress people.

Bared my teeth at the mirror today after brushing them because I like to check that the teeth are clean but also because I like to do a lil hiss at the mirror like I'm a wild animal whose teeth are being cleaned at the vet (for context, when my sys was younger we did not brush our teeth for a lot of reasons)

Also if you'd like to talk about the sexual harassment to Tavros, which I do not excuse whatsoever even with her age, we have to think about the fact that Alternia has a very heavily sex based culture. You have sex to survive and reproduce, and that is pushed onto troll children at a young age. Also, she WAS being groomed, and continued to be groomed after killing Tavros. This does not excuse her actions, though it does add more context to the situation.

Another note: her idol was directly related to her but also an incredibly terrible person. Mindfang was a slave owner. Mindfang was a groomer. Mindfang killed people. And Vriska was told, as both a higher caste in the system and a troll in general, to follow through with the actions of her ancestor.

We see these behaviors replicated with Equius, Gamzee, Eridan, and Feferi. Arguably, the behaviors are also replicated with Terezi, but you'd have to look a lot deeper into the subtext for it. These behaviors are ingrained deeply into Alternian society to the point where sexual harassment is expected to survive. With how big of a population trolls have, and how violent Alternian culture is, does everyone really think that it was all consensual?

Before anyone makes the argument that "the others were 13 and under Alternian society too", we have to look at the fact that MANY of the beta trolls are outliers in Alternian society. Karkat is a huge raging red example of this! Obviously he is not going to go with the caste system!
